Is there a way of enabling this in any form? I don't see any L5 or E5 satellites in the GPSTest app at all.... Why is this not a standard requirement when the chipset supports it? Otherwise GPS signal when in the inner city is terrible and not accurate at all due to GPS multipathing issues
In the S21 Ultra Exynos, GPSTest app lists L5 as well as E5a..

Having the same SoC, why the vanilla S21 isn't having it when the Ultra has!.. which is why I posted.

Im fairly sure Snapdragon 625 supports it, so why it doesn't work?
Can this be enabled in custom ROM's?

I noticed this today as well. Really surprised. I'm connected to 5Ghz 802.11n no problem though. I wonder if it's possible to inject blobs from another SD625 device and unlock 802.11ac.
Edit: Did some quick research. The Asus Zenfone 3, Samsung Galaxy C7, Lenovo P2 and Oppo R9S all have the SD625 and have 802.11ac, but the Huawei Nova, Moto Z Play and Moto G5 Plus also have the SD625 but only 802.11n. Weird. Our Redmi Note 4X can definitely use dual band though, so the antenna is there.
Yup, probably cost cutting by Xiaomi. (like Qualcomm Quick Charge)
Is there an answer to the AC question? Can it be unlocked by software, or is AC disabled in hardware on the redmi note 4 snapdragon?

I would like to know the answer as well, especially for Redmi 4X.
According to what I've seen, the Mido (Qualcomm Redmi note 4 - the international version) is a Qualcomm MSM8953, which supports GPS, Glonass, Beidou and Galileo, though, according to SatStat, on my OmniROM it only picks up GPS and Glonass. Is this a ROM issue or is it a hardware issue?

Hardware limitation. Snapdragon 625 supports Galileo (BQ phones for example) but our phone doesn't

To save money.
It's just like with LTE bands. For every LTE band you use in your phone, you have to pay Qualcomm.
Enabling Galileo would have made the phone probably 0,05% more expensive and you probably have to put a Galileo chip on the mainboard which would have cost another 20 Cent.
does anyone know? You can test it here:

I can confirm that the Exynos version of Note20 Ultra 5G support dual frequency gps. The recent screenshot in the article is mine.

Processor is wrong. It's the 720G in the 4g version and the 750G in the 5g version.
Dear friends,
I read on gsmarena that the A52 5g has an fm radio.
After that, I bought it here in Greece, but when I opened it, I didn't find a radio app.
I don't know if it has the fm radio chip.
Is there any chance it has it disabled and I can somehow enable it?
What do you say;
Thanks!

Same problem....I had the s20 Ultra and it stopped working on Telstra. Got a new s21 in the hope it would be fine and still nothing. Checked my plan with Telstra and they tell me 5g is enabled.... The phone has b78 band but still nothing. Just been a big waste of money

Damn.... I really don't like the Exynos 2100. so laggy in games. looks like I'll just have to sell my Exynos S21 Ultra and get maybe the Xiaomi 11 Ultra or something similar
I recently purchased this model for the snapdragon processor and can confirm that Telstra 5G network does not work. This was also confirmed by Telstra who said it is not a supported model, but in future, it could be allowed. ETA is unknown on this. Disappointing to say the least.
I Installed the latest Samsung update today and now have a 5G connection!

Hey @MAX 404
Previously installed the regular Samsung updates as they came through. I noticed I had a carrier update on my note 9, so manually checked for an update on my S21 ultra.
Carrier is Telstra in Australia. I've attached a screenshot of Software information for reference.
I believe Telstra use n78 band which was blocked on the SM-G9980 model when I initially got the phone.
Hope it helps for those wanting a snapdragon S21 ultra.
