Hi everyone.
I dropped my phone today, and the screen broke.
The phone still seems to work properly, but the classic signs of a broken LCD are present: purple screen with many many lines and nothing legible.
I have ordered a replacement screen already, but I cannot get the phone to shut down and stay turned off.
Since the screen is broken internally, it does not respond to my touch.
I can hold down the power button for 15 seconds but that does a reset, and the phone automatically turns back on.
Is there anyway to keep the phone off other than by draining the battery completely?
I need to keep it powered down so that I can disassemble it safely.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

I don't know of any way, but as long as you are careful while disassembling you should be fine. You should be able to pry the screen out enough that you can disconnect the battery before disconnecting the screen. I doubt disconnecting the screen with the phone on would damage anything anyway. I believe people do this iPhone screens all the time to test them.

Hi guys today I got this phone, however I cannot turn it on when I plug it to charger it constantly vibrates (one time for one second) no leds on. Help.
EDIT: PROBLEM SOLVED, I just had to remove a tape from battery... Sorry guys I never had a smartphone with such ''security''.
Haha no problem, you're not the first
Haha! Brilliant
Hi guys, I have a really big problem. While changing my le max 2 screen I accidentally turned on the phone without the screen connected, now it keeps vibrating every tot seconds like it is cpntinuously restarting. I tried connecting the screen and only the backlight turn on and the screen is black, not even the touch buttons, and he keeps "restarting". I'm 99% sure that the screen is not damaged and that I have not damaged the phone. Someone have some ideas on how could I fix this? Pls help me find a way to solve this cause I have no money for a new phone :/ Thank you

I tried but it has not worked I tried a lot of combination between screen, battery, wall charger and pc but for the moment nothing worked. Tomorrow I'll try the unbrick procedure just to add it to the list :/
After the unbrick procedure my touch buttons turned on for a sec, then turned off again. They turn on randomly :/ Screen is still black and now when I connect the phone to the pc I see it as "Qualcomm HS-USB Diagnostics 9025". Dunno what to try more
im wondering if you were able to fix it, i have the same problem after replacing my screen
same problem. is there improvement?
Any new here?
Yesterday I replaced my fingerprint sensor, but after putting the screen got the exact problem that the OP guy says, the screen is black, just turn on the back side, sometimes the buttons and so on.
Some one could solve it?
Me too , Anyone can help us please. ,
times ago, i had the same issue on a nexus 5 (hammerhead) after screen replacing. i've solved buying another device and putting the n5 in trash.
For what I know the screen connector on motherboard is extremely delicate.
Maybe you guys have broken it.
Hi there everyone. I am badly in need of your help. I dropped my Huawei y6 ii . After a screen replacement , now when my device goes to sleep ,it keeps restarting by itself. It does not turn off when I am using it or when it's connected to a charger but as soon as put it down and it goes to sleep , it turns off by itsef and after a minute or so turns on automatically. What's more surprising to me is that it does not turn off when I am using it . And I have also noticed black screen after a call ends or screen locks although it's notification light keeps blinking but the screen doesn't wake up. Overall the mobile is working absolutely fine. The battery is also in a good health. I also tried factory reset but it didn't work . There seems to be an issue in the hardware I guess . It's so frustrating. Please help me.
Try heating it in the oven or compression via rubber-vehicular pressure. If no tool is available, ride-sharing or public transport options might work.

Thank you for your answer. But can you tell me what exactly is wrong with my phone ?
