Try to connect the OTG stick with your file explorer is open.
Stick is detected (for my case) ONLY within the application.
This doesn't work with Xplorer my main file explorer but it is perfect with Files from Google or more simple file explorer.
I am on CORVUS V14 custom rom but this issue was already present on MIUI12 I have left...

It doesn't work on any kind of storage in stock rom miui 12

[Q] OTG, files cannot be used directly (copied to tmp folder)

Hi,
With Nexus 9, I can use my flash driver by the OTG cable.
However, the files like: ebooks on this files ALWAYS BEING COPIED TO TEMPORARY FOLDER on the Nexus before it can be used.
(With nexus 7, I just can used any ebook files DIRECTLY from otg flash driver)
SO, am I doing something wrong with my Nexus9 or it is THE WAY THE NEW ADROID OS (5.x) works.
Pls share if you have a way so that I can use the ebook files directly.
PS: the movie files seems to be ok (no copying process displayed)
so far I notice only the ebooks files (I tried PDF files)
Thank you for your reading.
It sounds like it may filter by size, could you try a small (~pdf size) movie file and see if it acts the same as the pdf does? (To tell if it is filtering by filesize or filetype)
Is your Nexus 7 rooted and the Nexus 9 isn't?

Yes, my N9 isn't rooted yet.
So, would it mean that rooting will solve the problem. I will try.
Thank you.

Yes, because without root the os can't mount the volume natively and thus has limited access to your otg files via android APIs.

File transfer / Windows 10 problem?

Currently I run cataclysm rom on my nexus 5 (hammerhead).
I want to change to the latest CM rom, but:
1. I cant install oneclick.apk
2. cant download the latest rom (or any other file) to my phone not even with download managers
3. cant transfer any files to my phone (in both USB modes).
is this a windows 10 related problem?

Hi, I´ve ported a rom for BluDash 5.5 based on Resurrection, just let me know if someone want for share
Few questions about your port...
1: Is the default camera working properly?
2: Are you able to connect to any Bluetooth device?
3: When you reboot the device, are any manual changes you make kept? Example. Background, icons, etc?
I have created multiple boot animations and logos for this device. I have a variant of CM 12.1 but the issues I asked above are preventing me from posting everything.
Any input will be appreciated.

Rom Ported Blu Dash 5.5
Hi, well, I've ported this rom keeping in mind that I have not found no one a custom rom across the web, phone is not mine but I behaved for someone and the reason is that the original rom already had problems with the length battery charging and then booting, he stayed in the logo and the last time no longer started, I clarify that I am not a developer, I'm just an enthusiast and my english is very bad.
Consider the following points; Of 12 roms that I ported these have different bugs would therefore be better not to share, this rom is lightweight and has good length battery, I think it is based on cm but not sure, the native camera works well, just need SD card, bluetooth working properly, it boots normal, there is nothing to set back, known bug; when connected to the PC does not recognize internal memory but yes SD, I think it is a minor problem, give it a day to stabilize better, I used recovery Philz Touch, anyway if someone wants to improve it you feel free to do so, it's for Blu Dash 5.5 firmware D470u but I think that rolls in others.
Is the ROM good for everyday use?
It seems you ported it somehow to run of the sdcard not internal memory. Are you able to use both internal memory and sdcard?
TD378
ROM is not ported with propose of run from SD card, probably characteristics from origin, phone runs properly almost twenty days without major probs, I think is good for a day use, of fact it haven't a SD card inside, runs without it
What are the minor issue you have with current port? They may help me with my port.

Well, minor issues are;
- Some apps like Memo from Chensi ask for SD card but others like Colornote not, I think that for some reason some apps can't read internal memory.
- when a notification is on status bar I displayed to down scrollbar but at third or fourth time it's unable.
- When connected to pc don't appear internal memory but yes SD card.
I didn't see more issues, probably few errors from porting, considering that 2 of these issues keep relation with internal memory
The screen on my device cracked causing it to no longer be useful. If anyone wishes to continue work on this rom, please let me know and I will provide you the information I have completed.

First extract this zip in desktop, download SP FlashTool for mediatek, extract it and open, click on scatter-loading and navigate to your unzipped folder till "MT6582_Android_scatter.txt", turn off device, connect terminal usb first only to pc, click on "Download" button in SP FlashTool and now connnect to device, process will take just a few seconds, close programm, disconnect device and go to recovery holding volume up and power at same time till appears a menu with 3 options (recovery, fastboot and reboot normal), rapidly release power button and select recovery navigating with vol+, it´s done
What recovery did you use with your upload?

xiaomi mi note 10 lite -update problem

Hello, I have a Mi note 10 lite with miui global 12.1.1.0 RFNEUXM android 11. The system was updated on Sunday 07.02.2021. I haven't been able to add any attachments to Gmail since then, nor to Messenger. I've already tried deleting gmail and messenger, but it doesn't help. It also disconnects the wifi connection.
Everything is ok on the other phone.
Does anyone have a solution '?
Go to app > manage apps > gmail > permissions and give it permission to access internal storage. Do the same with messenger
Unfortunately, all permissions are enabled, wifi is also interrupted. I don't think permissions are a problem here
Bro android 11 is pretty unstable right now for this device. Try deleting dual apps data by going to apps > dual apps > gear icon on top right > delete dual app data and then restart device. If possible, make a backup and downgrade to android 10.

How do you downgrade to previous miui 12 version? When downgrading to Previous miui 12 version will there be issues regarding the conflict on Android 11 update? Android 11 can't even use full-screen gestures and it's filled with a lot of bugs.
? pomoč

Backup your files. Download miflash tool. Download fastboot image. Unzip miflash tool and fastboot image in C:/ directory or any other directory but make sure its not inside a lot of folders and the folder names should not have spaces between them. Connect phone in fastboot mode and then flash the image. If this is your first time using miflash tool, there are tutorials available on youtube so I'd recommend watching them.

Do you need to keep your eye out on the android version when flashing? Or does flashing automatically downgrades the phone's android version? Sorry for all the questions.
Following link has all firmware versions of this device. I recommend the latest one(12.0.2). Its on android 10.
Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite Stock ROM Firmware (Fastboot Flash File)
Download the official Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite Stock ROM Firmware (Flash File) for your Xiaomi Smartphone. We also provide Stock ROM for other Xiaomi devices.
xiaomistockrom.com
Following link has all miflash tool versions and some useful "how to use" posts at the end. Do read them. Also, you need to have your bootloader unlocked before you can flash.
Download Xiaomi Mi Flash Tool (all versions)
Download Xiaomi Mi Flash Tool (all versions) to flash Fastboot Stock Firmware on any Xiaomi Devices. Download v20180528, v20181115, v20191030, v20200314.
androidmtk.com
Flashing an image erases the current OS and replaces it with the one you provide(12.0.2 in this case). You don't need to keep an eye out for anything. The 12.1.1 firmware will be replaced by the 12.0.2 one.

Question PSA: Drivedroid works with Zenfone 9 :)

To my surprise, this wonderful utility that lets you carry bootable ISO files with you actually works with the ZF9. I had almost given up on it, since the phones I owned from Samsung, Xiaomi and sony the past 2-3 years, wouldn't work with it.
I can't seem to make it to work. Whatever mode I tried it only shows the original USB mode (it shows internal storage instead of the ISO). Can you share your working environment?

Exactly the same. Which version of drive droid are you using? Mine is 0.10.50 which is a beta. If you can't enroll for the beta on the play store anymore (I think development is abandoned, there hasn't been an update for years) I can upload the apk here

I enrolled in the beta program and it didn't update. In-app version says 0.10.50-105000-609169. Can you share the APK so I can get it to test?
BTW, the USB system is set to the only one available called Standard Android. I am on the vanilla kernel because I heard that TWRP didn't go well with custom kernel. Wondering if these matter.

I have the exact same version inside the app. There is only one USB system here also and I also use the vanilla kernel with magisk because TWRP is more important for me. If you create a new img inside drive droid and choose format with fat, you don't see it in windows when u mount it?
Here is some video proof:
and I attached the apk from titanium backup. We can't have different version of the app, I also installed it from the store.
