Can you send screen shots of rom?
It looks great ... Can you tell me if aptx works without lags?
Friend, I take the opportunity to ask about the camera ... I miss the Macro on the standard camera. I have to add it I can't find a function in the Gcans. Thank you for your attention.
well, I can't wait ...It looks great to me ...I'm looking for a satisfactory macro, for now BSG 8.1 is perfect here at POSP.Google Voice I can activate everything recognizes the voice to configure, but it does not activate (in none I managed it must be by CH version). Very fluid, and so far I haven't found any bugs. Thanks for the great job. I will test aptx and fps then bring back Sorry for using Google translator.
Great rom!! Always used posp on my old oneplus one! Missed it very much. Immediatly installed it, works like a charm.
Just to things i miss from lineage os 18
Face unlock and the qs tile "caffeine" to keep the screen awake on demand. If it is possible to add them to the rom that would be amazing, thanks again for the great rom anyways!

I'm amazed of WAVE audio. Really makes difference. Also I found rom very stable in comparison to others. I've tested many roms on our x2 pro and I can say that best teams of devs are Paranoid Android (unfortunatly we dont have 11 update) and POSP now. Strongly recommend this two teams.
Sorry for my english but I think you know what I mean
Thanks.
Very good rom! It's nice and smooth and now i don't have found any serious bug (it's my first android 11 rom).
The only little problem i've found is the "ok google" grayed out, but maybe it's a nikGapps problem, so anything special.
Screen on time for now (installed yesterday) 3.24h at 52% of battery, very good!
Magisk 22.0 installed, no problem and safety net passed easy.
thank you devs, good job!

Ok Google, it doesn't work for me either. I tried with gaps to no avail as well.
I did an update via OTA but it started to flash until it crashed after unlocking at the beginning. I had to format it to solve it.

That's not new update, also it shouldn't crash anything. That's same build which is released.

Yes, I realized ... thanks! Taking advantage, do you know if there is a way to remove the lake in Bluetooth? I mean, at RIU it is possible to play with a bluetooth headset on aptx ... Another ROM is not yet available.

Ok Google, works for me, than I have problems with GPS.
No application that uses it, can find the device.Only Google maps still freezes where I left off last time.
Flashed the ROM yesterday and for the most part is working very nice and smooth. Great set of features and nice extras.
I experienced two freezes on the lock screen when trying to unlock with fingerprint. It freezes and there is no way to get out of the lockscreen. The only way to get back in to the phone was to perform a 'hard reboot' (holding power button and volume up for about 30 seconds).
One other 'issue' is I'm not able to set a different wallpaper for the lock screen, it stays the same as the one I set for the homescreen.
* Quick access Wallet (Shows cards on power menu)
Can you please tell me how to activate this feature? I can't find it anywhere in the settings and it doesn't show up in the 'quick access'-menu. I do have Google Pay installed and a couple of cards activated.
Is it possibile to add the same long screenshot feature of LOS 18? I miss that. Is called asus stitchscreen i belive.
Also i have a problem when dirty falshing. The problem is not caused by the rom i think, but maybe someone here knows the solution. When i dirty flash, nikigapps proceeds to make a backup, and then restoring it after installation. After that the phone boots just fine, but all the system apps are broken and they just crash as soon as you open them. Only way out is a clean flash. Always dirty flashed with openGapps back on Android 10 without any issue, so i think the problem is the nikgapps unsolicited backup. Any solution?

You should add cards in GPay then it shows up in power menu.

PixelDust ROM is an Android 10 ROM especially built for Google Pixel and Nexus devices.
The code is based off directly from AOSP. We strive to keep the PixelDust Experience as close as possible to Android as Google intended. We add a decent selection of the coolest custom ROM features that would've been missed if they hadn't been included.
The PixelDust Crew would highly appreciate if you would take a little of your time and leave your valuable feedback, your honest opinion or just say hello. If you should encounter a bug, or some kind of glitch that seems to be abnormal and you are pretty sure that it is related to the ROM (and not related to any special apps or mods you flashed on top), then please give as many details as possible.
Special shoutouts to Roger.T for his amazingly designed wallpapers, logos and the best bootanimation I ever had on my Pixel!!! If you like our work, please consider to buy Roger the first beer, and a few more for the other team members and spezi77. Cheers!
BTW, please consider to take a logcat, because you know that:

Pre-requisites:
* You are familiar with helping yourself out of awkward situations. You won't defame or complain at the developer of this ROM for your misfortunes.
* You are familiar with using fastboot
* Bootloader unlocked
* You have created a backup of your ROM & data
First time installing PixelDust ROM, or coming from another ROM:
Grab our recovery from the links section and install it.
Through TWRP Recovery:
Install Zip > Install Image > Choose ‘recovery.img‘ > Select partition ‘Recovery’ > Swipe to confirm flash
Through Fastboot:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Install the ROM and then wipe your internal data partition.
Through TWRP Recovery:
Wipe > Format data
Through Fastboot:
Code:
fastboot -w
Reboot into system and wait until the process finishes, it could take a little bit. After the installation is done, I suggest waiting before using the phone because it usually goes into thermal throttling after installing a ROM.
Dirty flashing PixelDust ROM:
Install the ROM
Through TWRP Recovery:
Install Zip > Swipe to confirm flash
Reboot into system and wait until the process finishes.
Thanks to all development teams, e.g. ABC ROM, AICP, AOKP, AOSPA, AOSP Extended, BenzoROM, Bootleggers, CarbonROM, crDroid, DirtyUnicorns, Havoc OS, LOS, MSM-Xtended Project, OmniROM, Potatoes Project and PureNexus, we borrowed a few features and tweaks from.

FAQs
Do I need to wipe and format my data everytime I need update?
No. You do not need to wipe your data in order to install an update. You can flash the update over your existing data. Kindly follow the Dirty Flashing instructions found in the Install guide section for further guidance.
Can I root my device?
Yes. I suggest rooting your device with the use of Magisk. Follow the instructions provided from the thread in order to successfully root your device.
I've faced an issue while using the ROM, how may I describe the issue in order for you to fix it?
If a bug or an issue is found during the usage of PixelDust-X, I suggest that the issue is described in a well and detailed manner, whilst providing a logcat of the occuring issue.
You may obtain the logcat of the issue by following these instrcutions:
Open Settings
Enter in About Phone
Find and tap the Build Number for 5 times
Exit About Phone and enter System
Toggle the Advanced section by tapping the downwards arrow
Enter Developer Options
Scroll down to find Android debugging
Activate the setting
Plug your device to your computer via a USB cable
Download the latest version of platform-tools for your PC
Extract the folder
Open cmd or terminal in the platform-tools directory
Type adb devices in the cmd/terminal
Allow the device to access your phone via a prompt on your phone
Type and send adb logcat > nameofissue.txt on your terminal
Include the text file to your post
Notice: Logcats must be taken only if you are running the ROM as intended. If a custom kernel is installed, kindly note the occurence, or else I will not consider it to be a ROM issue.
Can I flash Google Apps with this ROM?
No. It is not suggested that you flash GApps alonside this ROM, as they are already included inside the ROM itself.
Can I flash a custom kernel with this ROM?
Yes, you may. However I am not responsible for any issues related with the custom kernel.
My device suffers from the BLOD issue. What can I do to flash this ROM?
Do not fret. In the OP post, I have included a TWRP version for 4 core users alongside the BLOD patch by Osmosis in order to boot the ROM using only 4 cores.
Thanks for keeping angler alive

No problem here.
Please note that on my device fast charge switches to normal during the last phase of charging. This could be done by design, to extend battery life.

any chance of possibly having navbar buttons customisation such as long press to kill foreground app similar to DU/Corvus and a larger circle for the status bar battery customisation?
ps is it possible to have an option to disable sim cards or is that not possible on Q?
Wow thanks you so much! Let's try!

cts profile?
I tried this ROM but I got the " To start Android, enter your password" message. (Entering a "correct" password still gave a corrupted data message- it isn't because when I flashed another ROM everything is still there and fine) This could likely be solved by just going into TWRP and selecting Format Data. However, this has been the first ROM I've ever flashed that gave me this message ( I know it's actually quite common and I've just been lucky).
1. If I forgot to exit my Google account before wiping my old ROM, would this be the error? (If so easy fix -next time I'll remove Google account first)
2. If not 1. Then does this ROM not support encrypted phones?
Thanks in advance.
Edit:
I flashed again with all accounts removed with the same result, so I had to Format Data before flashing.
My poco booted fine but it is now decrypted. I did not flash optional dfe because I did not want to disable encryption and ended up with a forced decryption.
I figured I should balance what may have been a misunderstanding on my part with the things I like.
This ROM has great stability, multiple customizations to the interface ( the useful ones as well as the ones that just decorate ).
Although I love the fancy edge notifications and such offered in other ROMs, I find that more valuable things (to me) like status bar swipe brightness control and OK Google (using open gapps) and screen casting are all working perfectly here. Selinux is enforcing and magisk passes with green lights all the way. No hoops to jump through.
Thanks dev.

PixelDust ROM is an Android 12 ROM inspired by the original Google Pixel firmware with full support for Material Design 3.
PixelDust CAF is based on the Code Aurora Sources, more commonly known as CAF. CAF ROMs are therefore generally considered to be more optimized for Qualcomm’s Snapdragon SoCs than AOSP ROMs (in performance, RAM management, battery, etc.).
Of course, we're adding a decent selection of the coolest custom ROM functions that would have been missing if they weren't included.
The PixelDust crew would be very happy if you took a little time to leave your valuable feedback, your honest opinion or just say hello.
Special shoutouts to Roger.T for his amazingly designed wallpapers, logos and the best bootanimation I ever had on my Pixel!!! If you like our work, please consider to buy Roger the first beer, and a few cups of coffee for spezi77. Cheers!
Help us help you!

Pre-requisites:
* You are familiar with helping yourself out of awkward situations. You won't defame or complain at the developer of this ROM for your misfortunes.
* You are familiar with using fastboot
* Before you are ready to flash this custom ROM, you have to install the latest factory image from October 2021
* Bootloader unlocked
* You have created a backup of your ROM & data
First time installing PixelDust ROM, or coming from another ROM:
YOU MUST HAVE RECENT FACTORY IMAGE FLASHED TO BOTH SLOTS BEFORE YOUR FIRST TIME INSTALLING ROM.
1. Flashing stock ROM / unlock bootloader (If applicable):
Follow these instructions: https://developers.google.com/android/images#blueline
Boot the stock ROM.
Don't setup any google account, don't add a screen lock. Just go to Settings > System > Developer options. Enable OEM unlocking.
You need to follow this guide to unlock your bootloader.
2. There are now two options for the installation. Either via TWRP (you are required to remove the screen lock) or via Sideload (for advanced users).
A. Flashing PixelDust ROM via TWRP:
Important: Before you begin, remove the screen lock (password/PIN/pattern) or change to "Swipe". Go to Settings > Security >Screen lock.
Download the ROM and both TWRP files (img + zip) (for download links see above).
Boot fastboot mode.
Connect the phone to the Computer with USB cord.
Copy twrp-3.6.0_11-0-blueline.img to the platform-tools folder or folder that has fastboot in it and rename it twrp.img.
Open a Command Prompt.
At the Command Prompt type and press enter.
Code:
fastboot boot twrp.img
If requested, swipe to allow modifications.
Tap "Wipe", then tap "Format data" and type yes to continue.
Copy the rom zip and twrp-installer-3.6.0_11-0-blueline.zip to your device.
Tap "Install", select the rom zip, tap "Add more Zips", select the twrp-installer.zip and Swipe Slider to install.
When install is successful tap on "Reboot", then tap on the first list item "System".

B. Flashing PixelDust ROM via sideload:
Download the ROM and boot image (for download links see above)
Boot fastboot mode
Connect the phone to the Computer with USB cord.
Flash the boot image (this allows stock recovery to flash unsigned rom zip)
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot_caf_xxx.img
Wipe userdata (required for first PixelDust/Android 12 install)
Code:
fastboot erase userdata
Reboot into fastbootd
Code:
fastboot reboot fastboot
Use volume keys and power button to select "Enter Recovery"
Select "Apply Update from ADB"
Sideload the ROM zip
Code:
adb sideload PixelDust-SaltedCaramel-caf-blueline-user-20220107-0024.zip
Reboot

My pleasure.
A full wipe is recommended to avoid any bizarre issues.

Reminds me of Nexus 5 days, thank you. Long time PD user. Nice to see CAF... Thank you
currently have aosp pixel dust installed. looking forward to CAF as I had back on my Nexus 5. Just curious if all AOSP functionality exists in the CAF ROM before installing? Thanks
It is not a clone. I have been using the last three PD builds (really 3 months) and I have found....So Far.... In a bad way, No differences. Active edge has more settings, I think. I see less overnight sleep mode & less app background activity. Matt Log app is a no-go in my personal app loads. So try it!!

Thanks for your feedback, highly appreciated!
I think it's because of the language gap, because English is not my mother tongue.

Lol
Flashed and running, didn't encounter any problem yet, just the usual app incompatible issues, *google recorder app cant be installed through playstore
what kernels are compatible with the caf version now? Wanted to flash a different one

Just get it from apkmirror. Elgoog periodically gives us headaches with fingerprint mismatches.

If you don't mind me asking what difference will be noticed in this CAF rom compared to the non CAF PD i have been using since this rom was released for this device?

CAF stands for Code Aurora Forum. It's similar to XDA but is more geared towards OS devs. As you prob know Android is open, and manufacturers implement some of their own changes. In the past, CAF Roms have included better audio processing, cpu clock tweaks, etc. CAF Roms include the optimizations made by Qualcomm (cpu maker).

Thanks this is enough for me to switch over.
Now time to start backing up all my stuff, for that full wipe flash.
Can someone please assist me.
I managed to flash the rom successfully, but trying to flash the Magisk boot image I am getting the following error. (My device state is : Unlocked)
Sending 'boot_b' (28432 KB) FAILED (remote: 'Download is not allowed on locked devices')
fastboot: error: Command failed
EDIT: Silly me I was supposed to flash it in Bootloader mode not Fastboot :silly:
I flashed the rom, so far so good but there is one weird issue, all chrome versions crash after starting and showing the initial view. I am forced to use another browser, i use edge but it doesn't have a way to make websites dark as well.. any ideas ?

PixelDust ROM is an Android 10 ROM especially built for Google Pixel and Nexus devices.
We rebased the project to Code Aurora Sources, more commonly known as CAF. CAF ROMs are therefore generally considered to be more optimized for Qualcomm’s Snapdragon SoCs than AOSP ROMs (in performance, RAM management, battery, etc.).

* You are familiar with using fastboot

@PixelBoot Thanks for the efforts you are putting in.
One question, why not maintain CAF builds only?
The definitive version?
Sorry for my ignorance, but does this mean that this version supersedes your other PixelDust ROM?
wooow amazing ?
Gonna try this rn !!
Has Anyone tried? Report back please.
Okey so reporting back , camera is not working totally it always crash when I open , I try to open it through Facebook and it worked but this method ain't working on any other app ( apps are just crashing ) , otherwise ROM is stable and smooth 100%
I have installed this rom on both of my 6P phones. I can also confirm that the camera is not loading on both of them. I installed opencamera and it works fine.

Hello,
I resolved the problem by deleting these two files:
- /system/etc/permissions/com.google.android.camera.experimental2016.xml
- /system/framework/com.google.android.camera.experimental2016.jar
Delete only the xml file (com.google.android.camera.experimental2016.xml) resolve also the problem if the deleting of the jar file for you is not possible (com.google.android.camera.experimental2016.jar)

From my experience, no camera apps have photo quality on par with camera NX for Android 8.1, do you consider the quality good with the builtin camera from this rom, and does with have working hdr? Or do you know any camera app with good photo quality that works with this rom? Thanks.

Hello guys. I'm on PixelExperience 9 (from July, 2019). Since I installed this room (and previous versions) I'm not able to use NFC.
Is this room NFC working?
Thanks in advance.

Another great rom
Thank you for the Xmas gift gonna install tonight
... Update: Rom is extremely stable... I accidentally dirty flashed over MSM-Xtended, didn't even wipe cache but still booted just fine... Gps, sensors, micro sd card all work
Tried this out, clean flash coming from MSM-X. Runs well, and had no issues going thru the initial setup on this. Only things I've noticed are the Google Calendar itinerary view widget won't load (was fine on MSM) and I have the same mic issues as on MSM. Thanks @rounak1619 !
Great rom, love all the customization and so stable and quick! I am having an issue with a USB card reader though - is there a setting or something I am missing to allow USB OTG?
bootloops after trying to install magisk. every single time.
I installed this on my moto x4 yesterday; it was running whatever the last official release of Android 9 was. First time even activating developer options on my phone, so I honestly feel lucky I didn't brick it!
But! I'm a Google Fi user and haven't been able to get any mobile service. I tried installing Carrier Services and Google Connectivity Services before installing the Fi app, but no dice. Any suggestions?
Only other issue I've experienced is the problem with the itinerary calendar widget someone mentioned earlier.
EDIT: In case this is relevant: I was looking at APN settings before activating Fi and they seemed normal, but as soon as I activated Fi, the APNs were replaced ones I added years ago while traveling abroad, which I can't edit and I can't add new APNs. Is there an issue with Fi? Or is this a problem with the SIM card itself? (There's a 50/50 chance while activating that Google Fi doesn't recognize the SIM, weirdly.)

The only issue I've noticed is that the hotspot does not work if I try to have it protected with a password... But it works if I leave the security open... No big deal... I guess this is a Google android 11 bug because I've experienced it with another rom... Again thank you so much for a very stable and reliable Android 11 rom for Payton

come again? what do you mean for "modded magisk"?
even manually patching the boot.img with the lastest 21.1 also bootloops.
I like the rom so far and using it as my daily driver but i notice jitters here and there as if its struggling to keep up with the device. In the future, are you going to upload a version without gapps?

If you are still having an issue with this then you should flash magisk v21.2

Fortunately magisk fixed on latest twrp 3.5
We recommend everyone to upgrade to twrp 3.5 then use normal magisk

Found your "modded magisk" on the MSM-X thread, flashed it and fortunately it booted, then i used Magisk Manager to update to the latest canary and seems to be working so far.
as for the rom, everything seems to be working. except the fact i cannot set a lockscreen wallpaper, or rather i can but its not displayed, it shows the same as the home screen...except when im using youtube premium. then it shows the lockscreen wallpaper set from settings
