how do I disable preview pane in Gmail Android app? I am on a Samsung tab s7 plus 5G when I open Gmail it automatically shows the email opened on the right hand side if title of a email is highlighted. I cannot post a screenshot cuz I got personal emails.

I just did the facebook syncing to the htc sense contacts and im wondering is there any way to keep the default contact picture instead of it pulling up a facebook picture?
You should be able to unlink the google contact with the facebook contact under the people app. Just tap the chain in the upper right hand corner of the contact. I think it would default to the picture and not facebook.
Or another thought is to edit the contact and click the camera/picture and choose the picture you want to use.
Under settings are which calendars to sync but nowhere is the screen that I've read about to select which calendars are visible. I can see my girlfriend's calendar but not mine meaning I cannot add any events.
Trying to add an account gives an error saying to make it visible - but where?!
I have two email accounts that I receive push notifications for (hotmail, gmail).
When I open my email shortcut that I placed on my home screen, it defaults to the gmail account. Is there any way to make a shortcut that goes directly to the combined view (to show mail from both accounts in the same view)? I find it slightly annoying to have to switch back and forth to view my unread emails.
BTW: I'm running Xtreme's Senseless ICS ROM
Thanks

It shouldn't be that hard to figure out but it is. Why is there no clear cut way to show the combined inbox? Luckily another thread explained it...You have to create a widget and the widget can be selected to show the combined view, this will give you consistent combined view when you click on it. I just upgraded to CyanogenMod 4.2.2 Jellybean and it has the same deficiency. You'd think that there would be an option somewhere. Find a Google developer to fix this please.
Hi. I was wondering if it's possible to show notifications from gmail and/or facebook for the 5 contacts I have on my edge screen? I don't mean a distinct, separate notification; I mean linked to the contact so that when I get a notification from them, it appears in the same way a txt message would. It does appear to work for the Samsung email app, but not for gmail or FB.
Edit: Just saw the title typo. D'oh!!
Good evening.
Something I miss on android devices and specifically on s21 is to get my email alerts in more detail on the lockscreen. On the iphone for example when mail arrives even gmail in the preview which has 4 lines to see the message. Do you know what I can do about it? For example the preview of the Hangout when I have an incoming message is 4-5 lines. In the mail how could I do it?
Thank you
