I have a Tracfone A10e (SM-S102DL) I got from Walmart..
I'm looking to Flash the Rom to SM-A102U..
I haven't attempted it yet..
All the Specifications are the same as the other Carrier Phones, but different Model Numbers, and the Tracfone Version is Cheaper..
Is this possible?
I'm thinking the BootLoader won't Allow it..
If the BootLoader won't allow it, can the BootLoader be ReProgramed?
Are the Chips in the Phone the same as the other Carriers/Models?
I've seen some Roms I can Download, (on a website I don't know of I should mention),
that are labeled TFO, TFV, TFN, TFA for the SM-S102DL Version..
I know the TF stands for Tracfone, but what does the other ending letters mean?

A week into January and there is no information from Telstra about anything to do with its G5.
So i figured I'd ask here if there is anything that can be done to it (Custom Recovery, kdz flashing, etc).
I'm a little confused with the software version as mine displays 505 rather than a region code.
I can't help out.. But I can confirm I'm in the same boat, same '505' software version, bought it outright and unlocked from telstra.. Yet I'm sitting here waiting for the update that LG no doubt worked tirelessly to push..
My question is can we just flash the european H850 kdz over the H850K? as they both have identical hardware specs.. So far as i can tell the branding is the only difference?
If anyone checks this with a different model letter I'd be curious if AIDA64 or another system information tool recognizes the letter variant, as AIDA64 only mentions H850.
Incase you haven't seen this forum yet, if you skip down to posts made in december 2016 onwards, there are plenty of people asking similar questions, seems anyone having bought a G5 from Optus actually has the H850 (non-k) variant.

..got the prompt today.
Currently downloading nougat for the H850K
i think it has to be H805 European model, our 805 Australian model can't do anything.
Trying to decide whether to get G965FD or G9650 to use with T-mobile US. G9650 will have unlockable bootloader for rooting the device, correct? I realize the device is too new and there is no root for Chinese/HK variant yet but it will be there soon if it has unlocked bootloader.
Will flashing T-mobile US CSC give the VoLTE+WiFi calling features while preserving the unlocked bootloader and root?
The only reason I ask is because Exynos S7/S8+ modem download speeds suck on T-mobile US(10Mbps vs 60Mbps on Qualcomm in same location at same time when I tested). And then G9650 may support band71 as G965FD does not for 600MHz LTE on Tmobile.
Bump...
damn, does S9+ SM-G9650 have or not unlocked bootloader ?
would awesome to have 256gb vs low 128gb on S9+ SM-G965F
It has an unlocked bootloader from what others have posted so far. In fact there is first version of TWRP being tested on it looks like. Not sure if we can flash US CSC on it though. Also the modem on it probably is missing band 71 like international Exynos. There won't be many ROMs out for it but at least you can get root, dual SIM and Snapdragon advantage(as mentioned in reviews) I guess....
I think I'm only going to root if there is a way to go back to stock if I want.
I had an LG V20 on Sprint and I rooted it. Which is fine. All worked well and I was able to uninstall LG related crap I did not want. But with that I could not receive Android updates. I wasn't running a custom ROM, I just wanted root to remove LG installed crap.
Hello, I used to be big on flashing custom ROMs until verizon locked everything up. I am planning to get an unlocked phone (so i can unlock the booloader) and a new carrier so I can get back into it. Any suggestions on phone brand and model and carrier? I want the largest screen I can get.

You can start here > https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/
Most ROMs are lineage based
As far as Carrier are concerned, I'm an ATT customer. But I have no problems using TMobile or any of the many spin offs from them both.
I recommend these because their GSM carrier's and most all unlocked phones work with them.

I want to get an unlocked phone soon . Look up Game of Roms on YouTube. He shows new Roms. It's usually a pixel or redmi phone . Be sure your phone is treble enabled and you can install the gsi can . I believe that's generic system image , and you can install on your phone.
I'm just collecting some info
What are all of the different models for the OnePlus Nord N200 5G?
The codename of the device is "dre".
DE2118 is the T-Mobile model when you buy through them (or Metro, I think).
I think DE2117 is the unlocked USA model? I'm not completely sure what the difference is between it and the DE2118.
DE17AA is apparently the global unlocked model.
Are there other models?
I also found DE18CB, which is apparently T-Mobile.
I'm confused if maybe this is actually an OS version number instead of a model number, but my phone clearly calls it a "Model" ID.
DE2117 is OEM unlocked USA. It's SIM unlocked / carrier unlocked and bootloader unlocked.
DE2118 is SIM locked / carrier locked to T-mobile or Metro-by-T-mobile. Some have reported that a DE2118 purchased from T-mobile or Metro also accepts Mint mobile (without needing to SIM unlock). It's possible they may also accept other MVNOs that use the T-Mobile network.
DE2118 is bootloader locked, "OEM unlocking" is off and greyed-out, not toggle-able. It becomes an option after the phone is SIM unlocked. Many have also been able to enable OEM unlocking with a bypass, using adb shell pm uninstall --user 0 com.qualcomm.qti.uim which a debloater script will also do for you. OnePlus might "fix" this loophole at some point. But if they do we can probably reverse it by downgrading.
I understand the DE2118 you get from either T-mobile or Metro loads the appropriate branded apps based on which SIM it first sees.
The different models are also listed in this guide Full convert Tmobile/MetroPCS to US OEM with Fastboot Enhance GUI Tool for dummies
dre is the general device codename, but you may also see dre9 (DE2117) or dre8t (DE2118).
Some may mistakenly refer to it as "holi" because that's seen in the bootloader menu, holi is just the codename for the Qualcomm SM4350 Snapdragon 480 platform. [1] [2]

I believe DE18CB is just from the build number. You have that actually in the Model field? Here's a picture of it in the build number, with in the Model field showing DE2118.
Lots of extremely helpful hints. I already knew most of them from reading today, but thanks!
That notes daboross/oneplus_dre8t_dre9_holi_notes link was perfect. That's what I was assembling for myself.

Ahha! Now that's new to me. I had seen it in fastboot and was wondering about it. Thanks!
Further reading seems to confirm my previous assumption that there are only three models, but sometimes people are refering to software versions in the model numbers, which might just be part of the file names for those releases/recoveries.
I've seen the "DE17AA" model also referred to as "DE2117AA". I don't know which is true or what the best nomenclature is, since I don't actually have one of these international unlocked models.
"DE17AA" I believe is just from software build numbers. And not a model number. DE17AA seems to be in the build numbers intended for the DE2117 model. Whereas DE18CB is in build numbers intended for the DE2118 model.

This is simply a OS version number. This is simply the T-Mobile model. I have the DE2118, but converted it to the DE2117.

Does anyone know how to get missing oem in developer mode on samsung s23 ultra I've tried all steps and nothing is working
If your model ends with U or U1 it's not possible at all to OEM unlock
And what do you mean by that?
I don't see anything under a boat phone does start with u Or ends in u1
If the model number of your device is s918u or s918u1 then you can never get the OEM unlock option because Samsung intentionally removed it
Mine is SM-S918W
Or did they remove It off that one too because i've tried everything doesn't show up at all or give me the option for oem
Pretty sure that one can't be OEM unlocked either because it's still a north American model
Would you by chance know how to get it to show up because i've tried all the ways on the internet and no luck

It literally doesn't exist. So no.
It's been that way on all North American Samsung models ever since the S8 - with maybe 3 or 4 exceptions, mostly in the A series.
S21 and older models can be BL unlocked via paid 3rd party professional services - but only if they're running firmware from February 2021 or older.
