Note 10 + Beta - Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Guides, News, & Discussion

Hi, Note 10 plus, signed up for the UI beta last year, The expected date for the official release was Feb 2021, which has now passed, I am still stuck on the beta and unable to use Google Pay due to software showing as unofficial, seems as I am not the only one, have we been forgotten, if so how do we get official software status back ?. Thanks in advance

are you on the Beta test list or is that the official OTA ?
you need stock system and stock recovery to take the update
check the file depot in my signature for the files

Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow (with 1st of April security path) + EMUI 4.0 are under beta test and are expected to be released in June. The beta update is also available for public release on demand, and you can also subscribe to beta update by filling up necessary information at https://club.hihonor.com/in/update....i-4-0-marshmallow-limited-public-release.2417.
Take a note that this update isn't stable yet and we have reported many issues to Honor for that, and should get fixes sooner.
You can update to CM13 UNOFFICIAL, but before you do, just have a look at the issues mentioned for CM13. If you can live with them, I suggest you go for CM13. I am not sure whether CM13 for Honor 5x will ever be OFFICIAL (I don't know what makes it unofficial and official). Personally, I won't move to CM unless it gets fingerprint support (which is not possible until Honor releases Android 6.0.1 sources for Honor 5x).

@pank.dhnd the sources is much enough with the kernel releases which is more enough to patch the system files and make fingerprint sensor work with dev sources aka Beta.
Though i've applied for beta tester and recieved my update where as i have also patched already with the security update B150. I doubt that will i face bootloop no longer i don't go downgrading the system or re-flasing stock with B130 and update it.
@gopinaidu77 Can i just uprade this OTA ? with B150 security patched with stock with no root ??
@clsA I just applied for Beta testing and i've got the OTA aswell. i have doubt that by this month end the stock- official update will roll-on will i be able to capture that too ? Or is it better to stay in stock and avail the offcial rather opting Beta (B130).
@kartrikpal update, then do full twrp backup then do what ever you want

If your a member of the beta test (and didn't side/odin load the update) did you check for software updates?
I had the same issue with the first pie beta release and Samsung internet. After getting a prompt in Samsung members (and then checking for software updates) I got an update for the pie beta test and the issue went away.

EMUI 12

I heard that emui beta is released for Huawei y9s stk-L21 2019 but the beta project is not available . I refreshed so many times i did not get it . any one please help me
The beta version started to publish in different countries for the first developers who registered in beta program.. Then the unregistered ones will receive it, that was I heard.

Question Android 13 beta

Hi I am currently on Android 13 beta 4.1. as I understand it the final stable public release is coming in September. My question is doni need to unenroll before that to get and stay on the stable channel? Because I know with 12 there was a bunch of confusion about that and I got stuck on the qpr beta channel when I wanted stable and had to wait for a newer build. So what is the recommended course of action? Do I unenroll before stable is released and then update like normal or do I just leave it and when stable comes the beta program ends like in past years?
The 12 quarterly release Beta was interesting. I do not recall that Google did that before (running two simultaneous Betas). I think that is why it was a bit of a mess. In the past, with the Betas of the major versions, the program (and your enrollment) ends when the public version goes live. No need to do anything. If you wanted to be in the Beta for 14, you would have to enroll in that at the time.
In other words, I think (12 quarterly release Beta aside), this will work like previous ones. No action necessary.
Per Google
"Leaving the beta program
You can opt out of the program at any time to return to the stable public version of Android. When you opt-out of the program, all user data on the device will be wiped.
During a beta program’s release cycle, there will be four stable releases to the public (the official platform release followed by Quarterly Platform Releases (QPRs)). When you apply the stable release update for the version you’re beta testing, you can opt out without a data wipe for a limited time until you apply the next beta update."
It's kind of ambiguous. "When you apply the stable release..." . But by apply I'm not sure what that means. Need to opt out of beta then will become available? Or it comes available automatically even if on Beta?
Well unexpectedly today I just got a new update. It appears to be 13 final release. From what I can gatheronce this update is installed and everything works. Then if.i unenroll I should be good. It looks.like.if I don't enroll I'll be on the stable channel with no wiping.nessesary. I guess I'll update this post when I'm done

Apply means update/install the stable release. The stable release will become available even if on Beta. You should update to the stable release first and then opt out if you are currently on the Beta but do not want to continue with the Beta program.

Well I know it's a month late but here it is. (I'm sure you all figured this out by now anyway but if someone searching needs the answer her it is) so I got the android 13 update while still enrolled in the best program. Immediately after I unenrolled from the beta program because I wasn't sure if they were going to go straight into qpr beta program like they did with Android 12L and that's it.

Question Android 13 QPR1 Beta 3.1

Hello, I have a question, I just signed up for the Android 13 QPR1 beta program, which beta 3.1 has already arrived. My question is when the stable version of the pixel feature drop will come out in December, my phone will still be updated to that build even though Am I in the beta program?

Yes. However, if you want to opt out of the betas going forward without having to wipe you should opt out after you receive the stable QPR1 update. Otherwise, opting out will require a wipe once they start the QPR2 beta builds shortly after that.
Thank you very much, I really had that question.
