Will Sony Xperia Z get the Google Play Edition treatment?
It is a great device, but it will be greater if will get the pure Android with rapid updates of the latest OS.
The latest rumors was that it will be released after june 2013, after Galaxy S4 and Htc ONE Google Play Edition release, but is september and ... nothing.

Maybe! Or because it is the direct concurrent of LG Nexus 4.
I know that the android 4.3 port of Taylor Swift makes Xperia Z a Google Edition phone, but what happens if this dev stop doing the rom?
And the AOSP from Sony is not intended for daily use.
It is indeed a Google Experience using the port of Taylor Swift, AOSP or Cyanogenmod, but you get it much later than Galaxy S4 and HTC One.
So, there's a one reason left that makes me want this phone and that is the dust and water resistant feature.
The stock Htc One can be converted to a Htc One GE with OTA, i think this will be the ONE )) , because I can't buy directly from Google PLAY store and this will do the trick

No problem. You should get yourself Z1 a.k.a. Honami - it's better than Xperia Z and it's also water and dust resistant without flaps on mini-jack

I have searched for MIUI rom s6 1 edge but did not see anyone develop for s6 edge

I've been googling around and I can't seem to find any custom roms for the new 2022 model with the snapdragon? Is it too new? or is it just a too niche device?
Maybe both. Snapdragon's tend to be a pain or impossible to root. The stock rom has many features, don't blow it off until you explore it throughly which can take quit a while. Use the Galaxy Store to modify the UI, start with the Good Lock family apps if they're compatible with your device. Free custom themes, icon packs and more.
I will release soon the 1st version debloated firmware "BTU - P613XXS1AVJ5". It's an OXM firmware.
Keep finger crossed should be online before midnight (UTC+1) in Europe.
Keep in mind this debloated firmware is a 1st wave pass. It will be improved in the future.
