Rom: lastest indian global stable
Occurance: randomly, sometimes it's working fine.
Anyone has this issue? Any fixes?
Everyone, don't worry
Never had that on my EEA version. Must be a rom bug. Boot into fastboot and wipe cache ONLY. reboot and see if it happens again. 99% of software bugs can be fixed just by wiping old app cache.

i9100 here and I just upgraded to the newest english version of MIUI from there website. I was using the regular version of MIUI and didnt think it would be a big deal using the US version.
Anyway, after doing so, I am not met with freezing and restarts. Before doing it, I wiped the cache and dalvik, and installed from my sd card using the zip.
What did I do wrong?
Probably you using MIUI beta and as result after installation over older version something can go wrong. The only thing I can advise you is to do Full Wipe after trying to Fix Permissions. Sometimes it helps. If not then do Full Wipe again and reinstall MIUI rom.
I recently flashed my nightly build from 7/15 to 7/16 and now I am experiencing some problems. Main things I have noticed thus far are my weather widget not working and Google Play will not open. Anyone have any solutions to this?
Simplest troubleshoot:
Boot Clockwork Mod
Wipe Cache
Wipe Dalvik Cache
Reflash Gapps
Reboot
You need to reflash Gapps with each ROM flash.
Thank you! I have never had to flash my gapps for a nightly before but this solved the problem. I'm embarrassed that it was this simple
i am using sony xmp for past 6 months there is no problems with it....
i installed cm9 rom[nightly, stable] and cm10[nightly] and tested i works perfectly for a day and here comes the problem
after one day fine usage it keeps restarting if i clear factory reset ,clear cache and dalvik problem solve and another fine day usage problem comes again
any solutions
You are facing bootloops...
Happens with me too when I flash something wrong... But it never happens on such frequent basis...
Try reinstalling the ROM after wiping data/factory reset
Wipe cache partition
Wipe dalvik cache
Or switch to a different nightly(might be a bug) or FXP CM10... there isn't much difference...
nightly or stable
in stock rom like smulronics...etc there is no problem and cm7 also stable no problems....
the problem with cm9 and cm10 only
and also have some flickering in screen sometime...
Try flashing stock rom with flashtool and do a clean install of your custom rom.
Will try from flashing stock rom
I've bought my Redmi Note 2 one month ago: everything worked fine for the first 3 weekes, but in the last few days one bug came out. Every time I power off the phone it keeps rebooting showing the boot logo (mi.com) for few seconds: I have to pull of the battery to normally power off the phone.
When the phone is one there are no problems: everuthing works fine, no reboot.
I've installed all the lates xiaomi.eu weekly rom (now I'm on 5.10.22) but the problem persists... I've also tried the official stable rom (miui 6 6.7.11) but nothing changed...
What can I do? Is it a software problem or maybe hardware?
Hi, it seems that during shutdown something goes wrong and the phone reboot (like bsod restart in Windows)
So this must be a software problem. Please flash TWRP recovery from Fastboot and reinstall latest ZIP from Xiaomi.eu
(Remember to wipe data - dalvik and also system first)
Good luck

thanks jack 21!
I've already installed twrp from fastboot and installed several zip from xiaomi.eu and en.miui.com but the shutdown-reboot bug persists...
do I have to install a rom from fastboot... or do I have to wipe something (boot.img..?) from fastboot?
You have to wipe system, dalvik, cache
Then reinstall the zip file
Please for now don't touch boot because we don't know what may happen

So.... installed twrp via fastboot; wiped everythin, installed latest xiaomi.eu zip; rebooted phone --> shutdown bug again..
p.s. even power off from recovery has the loop reboot bug..
Mmm don't know what to do in this case [emoji24]
I'll try installing other roms like smiui or AOSP... and if I don't find a solution maybe I'll send back my phone for assistance..
I load up YouTube app, and the app loads up, but no content.
I tried Lineage with gaaps and pixel experience where you don't need gaaps flashed.
I cleared cache, Dalvik, cache of the app, uninstall and reinstall app. It's just odd the same issue persists with multiple roms.
Plz explain/help?
Hi i av the same problem did you find a solution to fix this thanks
Greetings. Thank you for posting your issue. I've had the same issue recently.
My problem was that the persist partition got wiped for some random reason. This seems to be a common issue on this device, and most likely you're facing the same problem. For me, apart from YouTube, all the sensors of the device stopped working as well (auto-rotation for example).
To fix this do the following:
1) Make sure you're using the latest TWRP from HavocOS (here)
2) Flash MIUI v10. I used MIUI v10.3.1 from xiaomi.eu (here), but you can use whichever you want, without any trouble.
3) Boot the device. Let it load... then back to recovery. Wipe System, Data, Dalvik and Cache
4) Flash the ROM you want to use
