Most stable curtana custom ROM for photography / videography? - Redmi Note 9S / Note 9 Pro (Indian Model) Question

I've tried Revenge, Resurrection Remix, PixelPlus and Crdroid. Tried installing others but the ROM didn't stick so didn't bother. Am currently on Resurrection Remix which is based on Android 10. I have a few camera and video apps on my phone. They work fine although there's a problem with the inbuilt gallery not updating photos taken from third party camera apps so it's a pain in the arse when they can't be accessed for posting on social media. I'm also using Simple Gallery pro which works fine but it's pretty slow for camera apps to send the photos to the SD card. Didn't have that problem with the other ROMs I'd mentioned but those have problems with Filmic Pro. RevengeOS was fine but it shutdown on its own twice which rendered it a no no because I had no alarm to wake me up one day. Luckily it wasn't a working day.

Try ported miui roms sir. Best for photography.

MM TEAM
I have tried the new version of camera360 from play store but sadly its not working
But when i used camera360 for android 1.5 it worked! i'm little confused now..
also it gives me error that high resolution not supported?
another question i had..
which is the best kernel for this rom m&m miui v5.0???
sorry for bugging u wii4u but since u started this thread about M&M's MIUI i thought there's no use of starting another one...
the rom is actually the best i've ever used and everything is perfect except for two things:
1- the 1080 videos used to play much much smoother on the stock rom, i've tried various player but the issue remains and the lagg is huge, it's really killing me.
2- i wish the screen rotation worked, i tried to toggle it on/off several times i've even tried rebooting but still doesn't work, i can't see my pictures or browse the web in landscape mode and it irritates me.
for videos they are working fine for me..try using mx video player..its awesome..no lag problems
btw which kernel are u using?
yeah that landscape mode is quite a problem!
the rotation problem is fixed by multilangual pack... i'm actually using mx player... it works fine with 720 fps but when it comes to 1080 it becomes very laggy and the sound goes away in the middle of the playback!!!
on M&M Rom V6 (today update) everything work fine

Recommended stable custom ROM for SGP511?

I've gotten Google out of my life and want to flash a new custom ROM to my Sony Xperia Z2 tablet. I'm currently running Lineage but would be curious to try something different. I basically want a clean experience and won't be flashing Gapps. I really just use this tablet for watching videos and rarely some document reading and email.
Can someone recommend me a stable ROM to try out? There's so much development here that i'm a little overwhelmed and would be safest to take some advice on something stable I won't f**k up being a relatively inexperienced person in this area. (i've flashed a bunch of ROMs on different devices, but i've messed it up plenty of times too)
Hi,
I can just recommend Resurrection Remix Oreo. Its stable, pretty smooth and really fast with the latest android experience. Im using it daily to watch videos or scrolling through the web or facebook. I also installed google photos so i receive the photos directly taken from my smartphone, pretty awesome.
So I think it will be also a great rom for you. Just flash the twrp 3.0 and install it. Really simple.

Thanks - i've flashed it and the first thing I tried was playing a video (after installing VLC). Audio FX error happened and the tablet crashed. Replicated this a few times. The forum thread says I can uninstall Audio FX using the system uninstaller, but I can't find that option and this isn't a great indicator of stability anyway. That ROM does feel and look great - but that was discouraging.

You can find the "System app remover" under Settings > Configurations > Misc

Sorry to hear that. I got no problem with the Audio FX. I am also using VLC even when I stream Movies from Plex.
wich is the best one for SGP521?

Motion Photos not working

I used multiple GCam Mods (Arnova's, BSG's, Arthur's etc).
Motion photos used to work just fine.
I was on Liquid Remix 9.0.9 ROM and suddenly motion photos are not saved anymore.
I click with motion photos enabled, it shows processing HDR and as it is done, the photo is automatically removed.
This is also happening on AEX 5.4, but used to work earlier with same GCam mod versions.
I tried clean flashing pico, micro and mini Gapps too.
Nothing worked.
Also Google photos is taking 3-5 minutes to play a previously captured motion photo.
Having similar issue, motion photo was working on Pixel Experience, now on MIUI 9.5.10, tried editing build.prop if it is something to do with it, no luck.
It has nothing to do with build prop, all you need is Android 8.1 ROM and Pixel camera config set in gcam.
Also to play the motion photos you need Google Photos app, it won't work with AOSP gallery.

Which Oreo roms currently have third party camera apps like snapchat/insta working?

I'm currently using lineage os 15.1 and third party camera apps aren't working. I know that some of the oreo roms had this issue as well. I was just wondering if any custom roms have this fixed yet?
Try pixel experience
For me Resurrection Remix v6.1.0 is working
It works in havoc and omnirom
Pixel Experience working for me, Snapchat, Instagram, WhatsApp, etc...

Ported google camera cannot focus

I'm currently using LineageOS 16.0 as my rom, and I've tried many different google camera ports from different developers and all of them can't seem to work properly. It cannot keep the track of focus in the camera mode. So when I tap the screen it will try to focus but it will remain blurry. But the video mode works fine, it focuses properly. This problem only happens when I'm using the ported google camera, so the stock camera and other camera applications works normally. Where did the problem came from and what should I do to solve the problem?
Sorry for bad english, still learning
new Kernel might fix as It did for me 2 times.
