I need some one expert in both, computer and android , to help me with my very big problem .
I've ALCATEL OT-990 which run with android system .
H already have it's USB cable but I don't have any CD with or any thing to have the device of it , so I searched every were here and there even google for the solution and get nothing .
here I found some threads but didn't understand any thing .
I need some one to help But he should know that I have windows Xp 32 not 64 or 86
this device is very important so I am able to do many things by finding it as rooting sync and more

Why can't I send MMS with data disabled? Is this an Android 2.2 weirdness or a weirdness of this specific device? On Android 2.3 on different device it is possible to send mms with data disabled.

Does the FOTA app on the device report that there is an update? Did you try to download it and install it over the air with the use of this app? What happened?
There is a way to install Gingerbread on OT-990 and it is explained on this forum, but, lot of providers have decided to stay on Froyo since GB on this device is known to drain baterry fast.
If You still want to experiment with upgrading Your software search forum, here is complete guide.
Let me remind You that this will void Your warranty and if you make a mistake device can be bricked.
Once You install ROM from instructions in link, Yo can install another GB custom ROM, I sugest Marina Lite.
But you must know, custom roms require new bootloader wich is included in first tutorial (first link)
And, yes, when you ask a question, try to be more specific. I didn't understand a thing from first post (or, I couldn't find question in it)

I had same problem,I found ROM on huawei website,the trick is to cha he area region to new Zealand the. Enter model y635_l02 and sear h downloads .if u can t I can send you ROM directly.it work for me

I am trying to customise this phone with custom roms or even an updated rom.
I am having great difficulty with this phone. The boot loader is locked and despite all my efforts using the Huawei website boot loader unlocker it never works nor does Huawei reply to my emails asking for help with this.
I have successfully rooted it i believe with Kingroot but that's as fare as i can get with this phone.
Any advice or help with this phone would be much appreciated .

Ty for the advice. i have now tried that methord with out success. only now some how my device is unrooted and now wont root again.lol

Fix camera. zip caused it.it was running Remix Android 7.1 after I installed fix Camera.zip it stuck since in bootloop
I can't find a way out. I installed stock rom many times, it works well in stock rom but when I install custom rom it stuck in Boot Loop.it's been 3 months, I couldn't fix it.

Have you checked easy firmware?
They do not have it. The premiere of this model was in February maybe that is why.
I would also want to know. I bought one from China. No google service build in. Really want to refresh it with US version.

Hi guys, Malaysian here. I had RNE-L22C636B142 before, and like you guys, i also TRIED to unlock bootloader and root my device; only to find the beloved feature (huawei Histen) gone missing afterward, and badly need to go back; unfortunately Huawei is so much different than previous phones I had; no Full OTA available until now.
I researched a bit and find that my model was for South East Asia (C636), and there's no firmware available (to date). The closest I can get is firmware from India (C675), and luckily someone here posted how to do it.
I managed to get my phone that was bricked before to life, but still there's no Huawei Histen available. I learn that some feature made by Huawei will be gone after bootloader unlock, after exchanging emails with Huawei Support team.
Thus, even after getting this phone running, the issue is LOW volume when using headset. The solution is to get Magisk V16, and install Viper4Android, and adjust the Playback Gain Control to Extreme & 5X max gain.

The ROM you mentioned is here in this Nova 2i thread (L22C675). Download it and Restore it using TWRP restore function. But do the rebranding first (into Honor 9i) or your phone will bootloop.
Huawei people said (in KL) they can't guarantee that they can get me back the stock ROM.
I don't know what do you understand about unbricking, but as far as i concern, it's quite hard to brick this phone, as long as you got the google account with it and the unlock bootloader code. Also a running Fastboot and Rescue mode.
For the time being, I'm settled with Elemental kang ROM . It is compatible with my Nova 2i (previously RNE L22-C636B142). I selected Mate 10 lite camera, Viper4Android for audio mod and now my phone is up and running without any problem. Low volume issue has also been rectified.
If you're good at chinese characters, you can opt to flash RNE AL00 firmware from china (Maimang 6). It works too in my phone, but can't use it since the volume is low at the headphone output. Cheers.
Thanks a bunch bro. Your input really helped to finally getting my phone to work AGAIN! I used a tool called "Huawei Multi-Tool v8" to unlock the bootloader and from there my internal storge opened up. So I used TWRP to flash the Elemental kang.
I still would like to flash Huawei Nova 2i Stock firmware, so until then I'll stick to the ROM or if there's another ROM from another developer.

nova 2i pretty new so you just need to wait for the custom rom. your phone is pretty popular so there should be one or two in the future. why did you wipe your phone after rooting? you use that when you are factory resetting or installing new rom. Usually you do not even have to use advance. If i find the stock firmware for your phone i will let you know. Good luck buddy.

I think it's not full firmware just ota at 400+ MB. His best bet would be if
1.there's someone with same device and region (like mine) who has an unlocked bootloader but still on stock. That guy can pull his own stock full firmware, zip it, upload somewhere and share here.
2.there' someone who has recieved the oreo update (3.18GB). Capture the ota url while downloading ao share here.

That is what realized. I doubled checked and the firmware seems too small to be os.

indeed man. you can try installing huawei firmware finder. you can download firmware from there.
Using firmware finder, i was able to capture the Full OTA url for the oreo update to nova 2i RNE-L22. it comes in 3 parts, all in zip format. someone has told me that maybe those rooted users or those with custom recoveries can flash those zips.

Same things happened with my phone also (honor 9i)(rne-l22) i also couldn't find any stock firmaware so i checked roms for honor mate 10 lite as the are same i guess (honor 9i - mate 10 lite - nova 2i) i found a rom named elemental v1.1 its not good but the phone works...
