Hello. Guys. I have an Educational app. I had cloned it to unlock features for my personal use. Is it legal and safe. [I won't publish/share/propagate to anywhere] and Can the original app publishers detect the cloned app? or the information of the modification of app which I cloned it?

I recently built a free app using mobile.conduit.com now i want to customize it. I've searched the forums HI/LOW
Ive used apk tools to decompile and build with my changes but nothing seems to work. I've also followed some threads about "signing" an application.
Their dev site is really generic and there isnt much info on any of their proprietary server API. I'm trying to do two things, clean up the intrusive code that is digging for personal information and other unnecessary phone controls AND use MetaMorph to theme the app I created but when I do either the app doesnt load thereafter.
Anyone know what local directory the app installs to? Or have any other suggestions?
I am also open to paying a developer for a proof of concept migrating a few thousand rows of Excel data into a functioning user friendly app. This project is for my company and they are looking at around a $1500 start up budget.
Thanks!

Hi all
I have an idea for an app which is basically like a gumtree for a specific type of item. This is also a way for me to learn android studio.
Now this has been done before with a specific item (e.g. fishing gear), but would I be breaching any sort of rules (or is it even possible) to look at the existing app in android studio. Then start to teach myself by modifying it according to what I'm trying to sell (e.g. Remote control cars).
I don't like to rip someone elses idea but the current app I want to base mine off is perfect, plus:
1) the existing app isnt available in Australia
2) Its a marketplace for a different product to mine
I only want to make some minor tweaks (add swap/hire) in addition to buy/sell
So I take Existing App (A)
then I just modify it all using all the great info on android studio.
Once I'm done I will outsource to a proper developer to make it nice and tidy, bug free etc.
Then get a creative person to do the visuals
Then get somoene to do an ios version lol
Thoughts?
Only use it to learn and then make your own. Most apps like that are copyrighted and any use of their code will end in a lawsuit.
1) He wants to log in to several accounts of the same app at the same time. One way to achieve this is to use clone apps, but he is worried about those apps (spying, stealing personal data etc.). You have to give a lot of permissions to them.
There are some popular clone apps but they don't seem to be trustworthy. They are from China or India. They are bundled with bloatware and obtrusive ads, or lurk you into installing recommended apps.
Do you know if there is any clone app which is trustworthy?
Or is there any way to clone app by ourselves without the need of a clone app?
2) There are some apps which need the storage permission (to store files), but it is an all-or-nothing permission. You either let them access all files or not.
Is there any way you could put your private files/pictures to a specific folder and restrict the access, so even the apps which are granted the storage permission couldn't access this folder?
Thank you.
Could anyone help? Thank you.

Hey dude, dunno if you ever found a solution but I would say the app "Island" is perfect for your needs. It's on the Play store as an early access thing.
Hi Devs,
How to make an app that cant be cloned by any parallel space apps. Not only restricting the start of the app but also to not able to clone the app itself. Thank you
Hello,
I have a programming background but I'm new to android dev. so may I ask:
How difficult would be to implement an app that returns the GPS location of a specific phone and what tool would be the easiest way to make it? Will App Inventor do it? Another tool would be RFO-BASIC. Could someone be kind enough to describe the steps involved?
Reason for this kind of app is a friend of mine who has a 15yo child with health problem and needs to monitor it. I know there are apps in the market but: 1) Most are not free and 2) Does not want to (or can not) get his child's email details to use it for this purpose.... What he can do is take the phone for a while and install an app.
I suggest you check the official website of android development, where there are documents and tutorial for android app & GPS location development.
