Hi!
My first post! Hope for a quick answer if it's is just wishful thinking!?
I wonder if someone can answer or guide me.....
Statement:
Its possible to flash stockROM to a google-locked Huawei Mediapad T10 from a SD card. But it will still be locked to the last google account when you power it up.
(it belonged to my deceased father so password is long gone with his ashes out at sea).
My question:
Is it possible to download stock ROM, extract the boot.img/bootloader, re-write it to be unlocked, then insert it back in the stock ROM and then flash it from the SD card? And after that you would be able to flash a custom ROM?
Whats my possibilities getting it unlocked without having to send deathcertificate etc etc where google says the application needs to be translated to english by a professional translator!!?

Hi guys,
I was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to point me to a link for a Hisense U980 Stock Recovery and scatter file. Mine has unfortunately become corrupted and i currently have the MLS recovery (Chinese) version on my device. I've basically followed the guide I've found on XDA forums to root and install the custom ROM but i'm having the following issues:
After flashing the custom, my SIM management option is greyed out under settings. Therefore, it's not detecting either of the SIM card's installed (dual SIM phone).
Running the new MIUI OS, my devices soft keys (Home, Back buttons etc.) are no longer functional making it difficult to navigate menu options.
I've tried following the tutorial to create a stock recovery but MTK Droid Tools is not detecting my device.
I've downloaded the stock ROM from needrom but am unable to flash it with the current recovery.
My feeling is, if i can revert to the stock recovery, i'll be able to flash the stock ROM.
I've posted some images as well.
Any help will greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Graham

Phone must be rooted (IRoot works)
1. Install any root explorer or browser and then check if root permissions are enabled (Security App>Permission>Root Permission).
2. Modifying Build.prop
2.1 Open root browser/explorer and navigate to system folder.
2.2 Open build.prop with the text editor (root browser comes with it)
2.3 Add this line on last line of the text then save. Select allow to all permission prompts.
qemu.hw.mainkeys=0
If the keyboard is missing download a keyboard APK like swiftkey and install it the through the file explorer.
Hi guys...
I have a question and a suggestion
For the stock ROM I found where I can download it its covered in the official forum for the hisense but its in Chinese I think I can't post the links.. Also I used the frameroit apk to root my phone its simple... My question is ... Have anyone got this to work I have the links for the miui for u980 but its my only device now n I don't want to risk ... If so can anyone post a screen shot for it n is it worthy I always was a fan for slimroms... Didn't like miui but its the only option now ... Also I found a link to twrp recovery for it... My main concern is not bricking the device as I always used to flash Samsung devices n this is my 1st time with hisense... But I like the device n the hardware is good enough for me... Do u think miui will make a difference..
Thx

Hello Graham and everyone, you guys are struggling so much.
I'm gonna try to backup my rom and post it for all of you my friends.
But gonna have to clean it first, so be patient. Have a good day.
Ok, i finished uploading my ROM, I don't know if the stock recovery is included in it.
I would like to help you and backup or copy/paste my stock recovery files. I will search online and if you have an idea you can help me too.
I can't use a PC because currently my phone's USB is broken and no one has a similar one here. So, I'm ordering one online.
That's why i backed my ROM using "Online nandroid backup".
Here is the link for the ROM:

I appreciate all help with this problem ....
Basically i flashed a custom TWRP recovery program for the EE ROOK .... custom TWRP from Novatek
After that everything seems ok but i brick my phone trying to root it..... so i had to i had to update my phone via sd card due to a and i went to the ZTE files present at:
[ZTE device . com --- just search A410 (i cannot post links since i am a new user)
This has 4 carrier versions for the same phone.... mine is JT and is unlocked to all networks....
But when i put the JT files on sd card i found out that due to the TWRP flash for EE Rook my phone thinks he is a EE Rook and not a JT.... this is some kind of phone personality disorder
So i ask for help in solving one of two things....
Since i update the files of the EE Rook from the Zte site my phone accepted them and goes do Android and is ok the problem is that is sim Locked to EE carrier.... so...can it be unlocked?
In alternative can i return to my stock android and recovery from JT this also work since the JT is Carrier Free or sim unlocked...
I have the files in the link above but i do not know how to restore it to JT since the Recovery tool TWRP doesnt let me upgrade via sd card it says the file i am updating is not for my phone (the file is the same but in the end it says _EE and not _JT
I could put more info if need and a print screen
Can anybody help me? Please?
Best Regards
Hey guys,
I have a big problem:
a friend of mine was on vacation, lost his phone and bought a new one on the Bahamas ^^. However, when he came back home he realized that the phone was sim locked by the provider. As the title suggests the phone he bought was a Huawei Y635-L03. So we wanted to flash an unbranded official firmware, what failed because we werent able to find one in the internet. I only find two for the Y635-L02 but the phone didnt want to flash that via the Huawei update option.
I then tried to flash CM12.1 via TWRP (from this thread). But I did a major mistake and accidently wiped the /cust partition and now the phone wont boot to anything else than the TWRP recovery.
Now my question to the community: are here any other users of a Huawei Y635-L03 and if so could you:
a) create a backup of your /cust partition with TWRP and send it to me?
b) give me a link to an official firmware for the Y635-L03 plus a short tut how to install / flash that firmware without being able to boot the phone?
I really hope someone can help me with that problem, "google support" for the phone lacks real helpfulness

Hello,
i know there is plenty of this kind of threads. But i really need simple guideline , already tested way to root this device. I have rooted couple phones, (note3, sonyz3, galaxy s4, etc), but never this model before, or any model where i have to touch the bootlocker.
So, this is now new to me and looks like there is too many way to do that, and it´s confusing. This girls is on fire, at least my brain are
The phone is my 12 years daughters phone, and my son has also this phone, and the internal memory is straight from a...
So i assume, only way to solve this is root the phone and use the external memory as internal memory, right?
And what about this, have you tried this, is it valid way ?
(Tried to put url, but i am newbie, so i can´t, but what i ment is one click root, is it even possible)?
Anyway, can someone please give me a hand and tell me easiest way. The way which working and tested
I´ll appreciate this very much.
Have a nice monday all of you.

this is a good tutorial https://forum.xda-developers.com/m4-aqua/general/guide-unlock-bootloader-twrp-touch-t3247939 for unlocking bootloader and flashing recovery
but rooting with an old version of su, you need to search for the newer su version, and beware, do not update su from Play Store
one more thing, you didn't mention Android version of your devices, settings-> about phone
for root you need a specific way for Android version Lollipop or Marshmallow

No you can remove lockscreen without losing data(android5.0+). You need a custom recovery for doing this.
First boot into your custom recovery then mount data after that go to file manager or use aroma file manager zip then using that file manager go to /data/system and delete
locksettings.db,
locksettings.db-shm,
locksettings.db-wal,
gatekeeper.password.key
Then reboot and you'r phone is unlocked.

thank you Parthib!!
i have linux and sometimes i don't see the phone with adb devices, so i thought to place the custom rom o an sd card to make it easyer.
but i'm not very smart with theese things and i've spended a lot of time looking around for a well working custom rom, but i see a lot of people that had problems.
the phone is lollypop 5.02

could you help me finding a working rom for my phone?
i think that after having found a custom rom i can place it on the sd, go to recovery mode and flash th zip from sd right?
no problem in case but do you think i'll loose warranty if i flash the Custom Rom?
i've also downloaded from here: https www .asus.com/Phone/ZenFone-Max-ZC550KL/HelpDesk_Download
this firmware: UL-ASUS_Z010-WW-12.8.10.82-user.zip
that i think that is the original stock rom (hoping that after rescued datas i can turn back to original rom to rescue warranty too if it's possible) is it right?
(i don't bother beeing root and the device is of my girlfriend, so i prefer waranty than root - if it's possibile)
Thank you very much for the support

First You Don't Need Any Custom Rom if you only want to remove lockscreen .You only need a custom recovery like TWRP,CWM for deleting the locksreen database from data folder.
And Installing Custom Roms ,Custom Recovery And rooting will void your warranty .
I think this guide is to install TWRP in your Device : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EwuiHBIts7M
And this video to remove lockscreen (skip to 5:45) : https://youtu.be/8iKL6lQnKAM?t=5m45s
First of all i want to thank a great one, more they are humble more they are great!! thank you Huỳnh Phạm Nhân Nghĩa, if you come here you'll be my guest bro!!
thanks to Parthib too for your useful tips (the last file that has to be deleted is data/system/password.key)
and thanks to XDA too, great useful forum
