When I try to open Do Not Disturb in the notification settings, it just crashes. It also crashes in safe mode. I've wiped the cache, but no dice. Has anyone had this issue? I've only had this phone for 3 days, and this is about the 4th issue I've had with it. It's kinda ridiculous.
No issue for me, S21+ with march security patch.

I also got the problem after restoring my S21 from a backup of my pixel 4. You have to reset the settings app to fix it. Search for „reset settings“ in the settings app.

I ended up returning the S21 for an S21 Ultra, but I'll keep this in mind if it happens again.

Hi, I have just flashed to the latest CM10.1 and keep getting an annoying mobile broadcast notification. I found the option in settings and unticked all of the boxes, and it still pops up. I have even factory reset, wipped cache etc. Any advice?
Anyone got a suggestion for this? I have gotten one every 2-10 minutes since last night, and its doing my ruddy head in.... :crying:

Thanks for your reply...
I was not aware of this rule, and in my haste to try and identify my problem, neglected to follow forum rules.
I'm also getting 3-4 mobile/cell broadcasts an hour and turning off all the options plus re install does nothing. Might try and go back to nightly dated the 15th and see if that does anything, if I can that is.
same problem with the 15th
Getting the same problem on CM10 nightlies
Me too.. If you leave them in the notification panel the stop popping up.

Has anyone been able to resolve this matter?
Loving the CM nightlies but this notification drives me crazy.
Thank you all for your input in advance!

same problem here, flashed nightly 4th June, SGS2 intl. GT-I9100 bombarded with cell broadcast & also the language is unknown..
thinking to go back the last flashed nightly.. suggestions welcome....
Try another Kernel like Temasek, N.E.A.K or yank. Problem will disappear
the boeffla kernel isn't having this problem.

I have had the same issue since switching the CM nightlies a week or so ago. I delete System/App/cellbroadcastreceiver.apk (after copying backup to SD card). This stops the notfications. I dont know if this causes any other issues, but I have not noticed anything else not working as a result. When you flash the next nightly that file will return again..

Thank you for that, I just had the update and was getting these through. I did turn them off in the settings, but still got them. I've done ^^ and it's stopped it. Although, being in the UK, I had to find Mobile Broadcast.
hi guy
unistall it in titanium backup. goodluky !
sorry for my talking english very bad
theres a few things you can try, first go to system settings > more > mobile broadcasts and unsellect all the options, if this does not work for you, you can FREEZE 'mobile broadcasts' with Titanium Backup, I recommend FREEZING rather than uninstalling!! however if you want to remove then use root explorer go to system> apps> mobile broadcasts.apk i do not advise doing this as i am not sure of the outcome! I personally did both of the above methods and i have stopped receiving them...

Are you talking about SYSTEM SETTINGS then under the section WIRELESS & NETWORKS tap MORE / MOBILE BROADCASTS and deselect all.
Yes, you can try this method firstly, test it for a day or two see if they stop if not then freeze it with titanium backup

Having an issue with the "touch" on this rom. Been running it for a while and now suddenly random apps
open when I touch the left side of the screen. It doesnt matter what app i'm in. Also the back button stops
working at random. Ive cleaned cache and dalvik, cleared data and done a clean install and the problem
is still there. Tried fixing permissions to no avail. Anyone else having this issue or any recommendations?
Thanks

I'd try a different rom first; if that doesn't work, try flashing back to stock. If that still doesn't work, it kind of sounds like a hardware problem

Try disabling multi-window or long pressing back button to make the side dock appear. I had a problem where the left side of the screen was launching apps at random and it turned out to be that the dock for multi-window was acting as though it was open, even though I couldn't see it. I think I was able to stop it by showing then re-hiding the multi-window dock.
That makes sense. I will give it a shot. Certainly seems like that is exactly what is happening. Thanks

I was having that happen for a little while also, but it wasn't on RLS7, it was an earlier one, maybe 5.7. Anyway, I'm pretty sure I remember disabling the multi-window and that fixed it.
Not that it was ever strong, but my vibration completely stopped working today. It locked up for a minute or so when I swiped away a notification, then came up with a message that Android Wear had to be closed. Since then, no vibration. Not when I pull down from the top to mute or turn it on, never.
So far I have:
unpair/repair
restarted
Restore to factory settings
cleared data from the Wear app
deleted all wear apps
uninstalled and resinstalled wear app
I'm out of ideas. I'm thinking that something is physically broken. Any ideas?

Like I said, it doesn't even vibrate when turning mute on and off, so no, it's not on mute. Looks like a hardware issue.
Have you reset the watch, either from the menu or by using the reset button?

So "Restore to factory settings" was performed on the watch. I guess I see.
I had this happen to me today at work. I would receive texts and the watch wasn't vibrating. As soon as I restarted the watch everything was working fine again.
No matter what, I can never stay away from android for long.

Same problem here, since this morning :'(
did you find something to do ?
Nope, it did start working again after a few days and it continues to go off and on for a day or more at a time. I need to call and get an rma.
the same problem, after using 1 day, the vibration doesn't work anymore and I can't find any solutions.
It seems that this isn't a hardware problem
Same problem
My watch is also no longer vibrating on notifications. Let me know if there is a solution to this.
Mine just magically solved itself.

It literally just started working again o to its own? I'm having this same issue on two different watches. Thought it was my Moto 360 since I just got it but it appears to be happening on my LG G Watch that I've had since launch with no issue also. No clue how or why this started but kinda defeats a major purpose of the having the watch...
Positive Vibrations
Yup. One day it magically started again and stayed working.

Has anyone experienced random reboots on the latest firmware update from T-Mobile?
Don't know how to reproduce the problem to pinpoint what's causing the issue. This is the third time it has happened... Is doing a Master Reset the only option? (Wanted to mention I'm all stock, first phone where I don't see Root is necessary, IMO, just yet.)
Didn't see a need to update mine. Still on BH5 and things are working great.
I guess I would try clearing cache first, from the recovery menu. If that didn't solve the reboot problems ... Clear cache+factory reset but make sure you back up everything first. Full factory reset on the S5 wipes the internal SD card as well. Downloads, files, pictures, text messages, phone call log ... Will be all gone.

I'll give that a shot. Thanks

I don't understand. I try to wipe cache partition and it works on command but once I reboot the phone it says error and it just loads up the phone. What's up with that? Do I need to factory reset?
Some are saying that the volte is causing this. I have turned that off and havent seen a reboot since

That's weird because I've never had this issue until the most recent update. Sigh. This is annoying as hell. Can't even enjoy the phone stock.

I experienced this issue on the unofficial Oreo(CRC2 & CRC4). And now on the official update. Drives me crazy. Cleared browser cache, deleted data and even hard reset and it persists.
Ideas anyone or do we just have to wait for the next update?
I guess no one else is having this issue.
Anyway after lots of trial and error and hair pulling countless resets etc I figured out turning ANY app accessibility setting on causes the problem.
