can someone help me with this doubt?
no, if you're doing it correctly it won't delete imei, it's stored on efs partition, just be careful what you do with it

No
Flashing a ROM will not alter the IMEI(s) of your device.

Hello, I think I made a mistake and I need your help.
I am using i9300 S3 from UK, but I live in Lithuania. I wanted to flash a rom, which friend gave me a link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2039995
I made a backup....then installed rom, but rom ididnt installed well, so o restored back. And then I see no signal and says me to put a SIM card, which is in the mobile. What to do? LATER I noticed, that the rom was for AT&T ( But I am using wrong phone right?
In info section is says: Unknow baseband
Please help me, cant call or text.
Pls check whether imei is corrupted or not
Sent from my GT-I9300 with a BIG

Agree with @jaidev.s - check your imei, If it's corrupt = OH DEAR! unless you made an EFS backup?

One restore your backed up EFS folder or try factory reset or flash stock rom ,
Fails then get a price from service centre to repair .
Or get your very stupid friend to pay .
No idea what phone you are using do you know .

That won't help.
Your only solution is to restore your EFS folder from the backup that you should have made at the start.

No ??? admittedly few in number have resolved EFS problem by factory restore or and flash stock rom .
As the OP has flashed firmware for another phone it could well be more than just EFS i am afraid .

Daaam, so what to do?

I tried it before. The first thing I did was restore. But same **** = no connection
So there isn't any other way?
If you flashed a wrong firmware you may have messed up your partitions, hence why you have lost efs.....so if nothing works a flash with pit maybe necessary....but I strongly suggest trying all other fixes first.
i will try stock rom now. but maybe i have to format everything? so that new rom maybe fix it?
now guys i have lost my efs folder and i want have a backup of it.and after some researches i released that. i cant restore it.only in service center .but my question is..is there a way to manually write my IMEI serial to efs folder..by opining it with root explorer and copy the serial under the battery ????

Anybody here can share a EFS backup of an older G850F, which you may no longer have ?
Need to try restoring it as I've lost my EFS partition.

Sorry, Didn't know. Just wanted to revive my phone because the IMEI partition got lost after a Rom update.

Yeah, I tried to reflash, but it doesn't change anything.
Try to Flash with Fastboot Rom with Mi Flash tool. Hope it will reinstall IMEI as well. Else the other solution is You need to root your phone to update the IMEI info. You will find several apps to edit IMEI but you need to have root access.
