I've got a single SIM LYA-L09 and while I love it, it unfortunately stops being able to read the SIM card multiple times per day, which means I have to restart it and even restarting it doesn't work.
I've tried replacing the actual SIM card and blowing compressed air into the SIM card slot, but the problem still remains.
So, I heard both versions of the phone are actually the same phone and just have different firmware.
If that's true, that might be the answer to my problem.
Is it possible to upgrade to dual SIM and if so, how?
Thanks!
Hey,
did you find a solution?
Thanks

How about!
I need help to fix this problem on mi x10. Please
Here goes:
I don't know why but. I turned it off one night and the next day not started, it load the system and when the unlock screen appears it get stuck and reboot.
I tried several things, a wipe privacy menu, turn it on without memory
and nothing, i updated it from 2.1 to 2.3.3 and nothing, it's the same problem.
I noticed that, when I remove my SIM card Telcel, starts normal and not stuck, I put one of another provider and turned on the phone the sim-unlock code screen apears, i tap cancel and the phone was normal function.
I tried 2 chips of the same company (telcel) and it's the same for the 2 sim cards. The other is a Iusacell GSM Simcard.
It's software or hardware problem?
I hope it's not the logic board, could it be the Sim Reader? The antena?
I hope you can help me,
I thank you in advance.
Greetings.

If it works with other SIM cards, then it's sim card problem.

ok, but the phone only Reboot when it get Signal from the operator I tested with 2 or 3 different Sim cards and it's the same and this sim cards are working good in the other phones
Every so often, the message will pop up that no SIM card is detected and that the watch needs to restart? I have checked SIM card placement as well as ensured the door is properly inserted back into the watch. Anyone else having this problem?

I bought two gear s' from tmobile, out of the box one of them did that and even when swapping the sims around, it seemed to follow the watch. I called tmobile and they redid the provisioning of the sim, she said the order was stuck in some sort of loop. I never had that issue again and its been a few months already.

Thanks. Just so I understand, they reset your SIM or did they replace it?

She said that she "re-provisioned" it. After she did that it went from no sim detected to working normally within a few minutes. This was with a brand new watch with brand new sims directly from Tmobile.
I am having this issue as well. I can not get the watch to even see my sim card at all. What may be the issue?
I'm having the same issue.
Even my SIM card is not detected. This happened after over a year of use. Is this a hardware problem? Or will flashing modem.bin fix this issue?
Hey everyone,
I am an owner of a G3 but I switched my mobile service provider recently. When the new SIM card arrived I switched them but my G3 did not accept / see the new SIM card and there was no possibility to type in my PIN. I ordered a new SIM but the problem remained with the new SIM card. So I tried a lot of other (working) SIM cards from different other service providers but also no luck. So I thought maybe the phone has SIM lock and I tried another SIM card from my old provider but it also did not work.
The weird thing is that when I put in my old SIM card the phone appears to be accepting the SIM card. The PIN prompt appears normally, I can type it in, the phone accepts. There is just no reception which is normal because I switched the service provider. I also tried a factory reset, also no luck. The phone was rooted but I unrooted and resetted it. Is it possible that I broke something because of root?
Other than this problem the phone works perfectly. Has someone an idea or some experience with a similar issue and knows if it is possible that a phone accepts only one SIM card?
I have no idea what the cause of the problem could be and I am really running out of ideas ...
I would be very thankful for any ideas or suggestions!
Thanks,
Patrick
Or did maybe someone have a similar experience with a different phone?
Thanks!

Hi again,
I tried some more things but still nothing helped.
The things I tried were:
- unrooting the phone and factory reset
- reflash radios
- try completely diffrent rom (CM)
Still I have no idea what the cause could be. Maybe the sim card reader is just broken. Just weird that it reads my deactivated sim card.
I would really appreciate it if someone has an idea or some similar experience..
Thanks!
Why is this a thing and how do I get rid of it? Happens all day long just flashing on and off. I have a sim in with full working network. I'm rooted on .200, got this notification on .152 and if I remember correctly it was still on mm. I know I'm not alone because I found a YouTube video searching for it:
https://youtu.be/aYn-H_Wm4eg
It happens to me too occasionally. My phone is not rooted, still on lollipop.
Sent from my E5823 using XDA Free mobile app
it happens for me as well
Kind of ridiculous
By the way it's behaving, it would seem logical that there's an issue with the sim card reader or the sim card.
Given this is not happening to many people.
Try a different sim to see if it persists. If it does then I'd think it was down to the sim reader hardware.
Just a thought

Do you not get this notification? I am a heavy user, my phone is never really off and it's pretty constant at about every 30 minutes flashing a few times, with or without sim in.
I get it as well. Sometimes it happens very often. Sometimes there is longer in between. Have seen the error with different sim cards
Hi all.
I've had my mi8 lite global for a few weeks now.
It's been great, seems to do all I need and more.
But, I've more recently been having an issue with it dropping my Sim card.
I can be using it or sitting standby and it'll suddenly flash to the lock screen and and show no Sim card found in the notification area.
Sometimes it can go a decent length of time with no issue (couple of days) while other times it'll repeatedly do it in one session.
Rebooting the phone brings it back to normal each time.
I've also tried putting my Sim in slot two and it doesn't read it all.
And another issue I have is my alarm failing, twice now.
No notification or anything. Just didn't go off.
Not sure if it's related or not.
Thanks!
I've sorted the alarm issue.
I allowed the clock to auto start.
But any tips or advice on how to sort and solve the SIM card issue?
Maybe it's the simcard itself try to test with another one
Don't have another SIM card. I can order one though.
It's also a new SIM card.
Where it's irregular, makes it difficult to prove where the issue is.
I can put my sim in an old phone but it's a faulty phone.
Does android save these kind of things to a log?
