In order to clean our devices, I used SD Maid by @Dark3n in the pro version for many years now.

You don't have to be rooted to use the pro version , being rooted means you can clean the root of your phone with sdmaid , a deeper clean , you can clear system, advertising logs & more, I find it the safest cleaner when rooted, never bricked my device whilst rooted others I have lol

I have noticed that on some roms (Mostly AOSP, as CM 7.1) some of my purchased apps do not show up as downloadable. When I search for them, they're also gone...
Why is this happening? It seems that some apps are locked out from the CM version of the market. How do I fix this? I would really like to use CM 7.1, but what does it matter if I can't install all my favorite apps?
Just installing APK's from file manager is NOT a solution, I want to know how to show them permanently inside the market.
I have seen the same issues, maybe someone could help

That'd be great
Same issues with some apps just not appearing in the market on some roms?
Maybe the ROM/Phone info the Market is getting isn't compatible with the apps you're trying to download. Have you tried if Market Enabler lets you download them?

I thought that Market Enabler lets you choose a different provider. That's not the problem. I can do it on CheckROM, but not on CM 7.1. I will try it out to see if I'm wrong.

I'm with Hypedroid and its going pretty good atm, but I don't know if I have the same issue as you're having without knowing which apps are the one not showing in market. You can also try to install Chainfire3D driver to improve games.

Simple solution .
Download apps on a rom that works .
Copy apps to a folder on your external sd card .
install your custom rom and then install the apps .

I use titanium backup only but not the paid version
But in that when you restore data and apps you have keep cling on each installation of an app which is tedious and also if you cancel the installation of any one app you have to start the process again
Am I missing something here?

Hi,
I didn't find any ROM on the net for your phone, but this may be a good news for you! I found a device with same SoC as your device which has MIUI ROM. Here
Here is a guide on how to port it! Try it, it may work. I think it will as porting between 2 same MTK SoC's is really easy!
Cheers!

Basically , i was running the standard rom that came with my phone , i changed to NOVA launcher , but the phones normal launcher was still running the background.....so i rooted the phone and froze the original launcher that came with the phone as it was draining the battery.........anyway , i found the phone was running a bit slow , i had installed various apps etc..........Sooooo i thought , just reset the phone .....so because i did not unfreeze the original launcher , when it came to resetting , the phone now has no launcher due to me freezing it !
It looks as if most of the rom is still there as it does load up , it checks for sim cards etc but then stops at that point , even the phone signals come up.
So do you think it is worth using CWM to still back up the rom and use for porting to MIUI Jiake V8 version ?
If so , what command in CWM do i use to make a rom for using in porting .
Thank you for your help.

In the android recovery (3e) i have the option of Apply update from ADB
i have the following other options
reboot system now
apply update from adb
apply update from sdcard
apply update from cache
wipe data factory reset
wipe cache
backup user data
restore user data
Do i simply backup user data for my rom to port to MIUI ? or is there a simple way using the ADB update ?
With the ADB for the launcher update , how would i do that and how would the system pick up on my choice of launcher ? would i need to edit some lines of code to point towards my choice ?
Thank you for your help.

Thank you for this , i had not tried to do this , yes i can get into my settings on my phone.... i wiped all the cache etc in the rocovery mode , then rebooted the phone , i then side swiped down to get into my settings.....i set up my google account...but when i load google playstore it just seems to hang...with the loading screen....i can even launch the browser from settings via the Apps setting menu....everything is working...but still no launcher....
i'm still a bit stuck on how to side load something like Nova launcher , so i can get my phone fully funcational again
I had hoped that with been able to set up my google account etc , the google store would of worked , then i could of just downloaded a launcher !
But hey i think i am getting somewhere today with this phone
Oooooooooh wow , thank you for the side swipe idea.....i cleared the data for the googlestore via the app settings , re-ticked the agree to google terms and conditions , then downloaded nova launcher !!!! looks as if things are working a bit better again
Brilliant i have even rebooted the phone and it loads straight to NOVA launcher
Can i still unfreeze the old launcher do you think ?
I would still like to convert to MIUI though

Yes, you can. Well, If you don't have an actual stock ROM then it's not that easy to port it. As you have to make a nandroid backup, then convert it into flashable ZIP. But you actually need to set the right mount points for your device in the updater-script. And I don't know how to find that out. So I would be statisfied with stock ROM!

I have had the same problem. I have tried everything I know how to do, swapping the APK's through ES File Exploreer, flashing the new apps over the old ones via Safestrap, deleting the old apps and flashing the new ones in Safestrap..... nothing. One guy suggested "delete old app, reboot, move new app to correct file path in ES, fix permissions, reboot". This worked for Gmail but then my phone updated Gmail right away and I lost the blacked out app and didn't feel like doing it again. I like the ROM though so 3.99 isn't a big deal to me. The method I used for Gmail should work for all your apps, I just haven't had the time to do it. Just make a nandroid first, in case you delete your launcher by mistake.

Well I did not think archos did that on other devices after the Gen8 ones but to me it would seem like yours is booting from a squashfs image which means you can't permanently modify the system/root partitions so to actually achieve permanent root I think you might need a kernel that mounts a unionfs partition and uses that to store system modifications.
I can't really give you more help than the information above with the limited information you gave us, perhaps you could list the device's full name, generation (if it has one), device ID, android version, CPU/SOC info, and some pictures of the bootloader/recovery and system structure.

Yes it does, try this first:

and if that does not work try:

Try both the APK and PC versions and this will install a Chinese root manager and some other Chinese apps, just use root uninstaller after installing SuperSU to remove all the Chinese bloatware.

Well I will guess you already replaced the chinese root manager with SuperSU and also used root uninstaller (from play store) to remove all the chinese apps, if not that's what you should do.
But really I can't answer what you want to do, you can do many things with root (but don't expect any custom ROM's or kernels for that thing as there are no sources, you'll just have to stick with the android version and ROM that is already on it).
Some things you can do though are: remove all the "kids" things from it and put apex or nova launcher on it, install xposed framework, perhaps install the CWM recovery for the version of RK chip in it to make backups before erasing any system files or just use flashfire.
