Hi
I'am wondering something with samsung IMEI repairs.
I repaired IMEI number with chimera tools and did patch cert (so the note 20 is rooted)
The thing is that I just want the imei repaired.
My question is, if I flash it again with the same official rom, is the IMEI will still be here and the phone will be "normal" ?
Or do I need to flash stock rom and try the Combination file ? (I'am not familliar with the combination file flashing and use)
Thanks

Hi Everyone,
I know there are a few thread around with the same purpose, but nothing helped me. I even did ping few members who claimed to have known the problem, to my bad, they are busy to reply me. So i thought i would start a new thread explaining my problem.
I got a new Galaxy GT I9300 Before 3months in Singapore, The shop is famous for selling smuggled phones, so i am not sure to which country mine belongs to. There was no network initially, so the shopkeeper offered his help, He gave the mobile to a nearby service centre and got it ready,
I am not sure what he did, but d phone had CWM and Super User. I already own a Galaxy S2 and i have done a lot of flashing Custom MOD's, So i wanted my Galaxy S3 to be original for a while. So i tried to restore by flashing a official firmware, To my surprise the phone didnt have any network in it after the ODIN flash. I tried an INDIAN firmware, then Singapore.
I tried CWM (which i am not a pro) but couldn get back the network. I went back to the service centre and he told some files are corrupted since i flashed the phone with official firmware.
He again flashed it, now the network works, voila ! I couldn figure out and he wouldn tel me. ****ing $40 !!! The phone had CWM and SuperUser installed in it again.
The phone had the following information after wat ever he did.
IMEI - 3531*********99 it is same in d board and in the phone information.
MODEL NUMBER - GTI9300
ANDROID VERSION - 4.0.4
BASEBAND VERSION - I9300DXLE9
KERNEL VERSION - 3.0.15-611327-USER SE [email protected] -71 #1SMP PREEMPT TUE MAY 22 21:54:17KST 2012
BUILD NUMBER - IMM76D.I9300XXALEF
NETWORK - SINGTEL
SERVICE STATE - IN SERVICE
MOBILE NETWORK STATE - DISCONNECTED
MY PHONE NUMBER - UNKNOWN
ERI VERSION - N/A
IMEI SV - 01
SERIAL NUMBER - 000000000000
DEVICE STATUS - MODIFIED
Can anyone please infer on what the service guy had done. so that i can update my phone to JB. I am sick and bored of the same firmware for over 4 months and i wanna change it. But i dont want to get struck in the same issue. Please help and advance thanks !
I am afraid you had bad luck
1. You should NEVER pay for stuff that does not work (and is not with original firmware).
2. You should also read this - it is almost certainly the same story (in your case SN 00000000 should also give a strong clue things are not what they should):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=34226179
3. Since whoever f***ed those things the first time on your phone did not make an efs image-backup you can never return to factory state!
4. You are basically stuck with a phone where you will have to apply a patched modem after each ROM upgrade.
when you say patched modem what do you mean.?
Patched modem ???
When u say patched modem, can u explain tat ? Is it possible to create one by ourself ?

A patched modem apparently is modem code that does not check all the stuff in the efs partition (for instance when SN is 00..00) - I am currently using the one posted by ariza somewhere around. Patching one might be quite complex and for the moment I did not have the time to research that. The only problem that I see is that certain providers are said to be using very unusual modem code (since they have unusual settings in their own network) - and in that case you need to use a patched version of that specific modem version - but so far I have not seen that happening in a very repeatable way in posts from european networks.
The other problem is that when you install any full ROM (for instance 4.1.2) that will overwrite your modem - so you will have to re-install the old patched modem (so far ariza_v04.zip seems to work OK with 4.1.2 on my operator's network).
Serial no 000000...

Hi guys,
I would be grateful if anyone can help or point me in the right direction to resolve the IMEI issue with my P7500.
I have no idea why the IMEI number on tablet (IMEI number: 0049....00, as provided by about->status) is different from the IMEI number written on the back of the tablet (first few digits 3577...). Please note that the IMEI number written on the back of the tablet and on the original box match!
My tablet is still under warranty and I have only flashed custom ROMS and used odin to flash original ROMS.
Any ideas or suggestions please?
Thank you

Did you backup EFS folder? after rooting it's a must.
Try to flash original rom for your tablet, and if your imei is the same(0049....) only service center will rewrite back your original IMEI)- but this is not cover by your warranty....
i have Samsung Galaxy s2 gt-i9100(rooted) and suddenly my network signal was missing. and i dialed *#06# and display no imei and unknown baseband . so how to solve that problem?
gt-i9100
android version - 2.3.4
baseband - unknown
kernal version - 2.6.35.7-i9100xxkh3-cl479037 [email protected] #2
No EFS backup ? Try flashing some stock roms. If that doesn't work, service centre or local mobile repair shop; they have equipment to write the IMEI back to the device.
Yes sir i have i have tried to restore but it didnt work
neddinary
Sir give links to flash rom
plz
Samfirmware. No, I'm not going to give you a direct link; did your last slave die of overwork per chance ?
same problem
what firmwere should i download if it dosnt show up any baseband version????
Did anyone gotta solution?? :crying:
Try all the firmwares for your country/carrier (not 4.0.4 though, just in case you flash & forget then do a factory reset. If you've flashed a couple of those & your IMEI hasn't returned, it's fairly safe to say it isn't coming back; take it to a local mobile repair shop, many have the equipment to re-write the IMEI to the device fairly cheaply.
Did you manage to sort this? I was asked to look at a friends S2 which was showing no IMEI number, and I managed to sort it....
^^^
Spill the beans then; what did you do to fix it ?

Ah.... this fone was completely stock, still running Gingerbread 2. whatever!!
So.... all using Odin....
I updated-no joy
I rooted-no joy
I flashed newer custom ROM-no joy
Then, I tried flashing Stock 4.1.2, and away it went!!
IMEI number replaced, fone now working, friend well impressed!!
The files are I9100XWLSW_I9100XXMS2_I9100XEULS5_HOME.tar.md5
I'm not sure how to post a link (perhaps someone could show), I got them from YouTube, but have them if anybody needs them.
But if you Google for that, and you're on UK S2 I9100, you should be fine!!
Hope this helps some people, please bear in mind the usual : "I cannot be held responsible for any damage caused...."

Look here to solve >> http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/general/ref-imei-efs-stuff-i9300-including-t2393289 <<
you have to flash older baseband if the problem occured after upgrading. ie. you were on 4.0 (older) and flashed 4.3 (newer) you have to flash the older baseband. (the modem file of 4.0).
if you dont get this. try
1. flashing the original stock rom
2. flash other modem files.
dont forget to hit thaks if i helped you n any way
Hello to everyone.
I hope i have posted in the right section.
I need info regarding the following situation:
i have a I9300 wich had 4.1.2 and was unlocked by software because it was EFS V1.
Because i didn`t made the proper digging i updated it to the original firmware af android 4.3 with Odin.
After flash i gor the unregistered sim network...because the EFS updated to V2. afterwards flashed again to 4.1.2 original and tryied to unlock using root, busy box and galaxsin unlock but due to EFS V2 didnt work.
Unfortunately i didn`t made backup to EFS V1 before update and now the IMEI shows 0049 (test imei).
The question is: the only way to solve this issue is going to a service center, recover original IMEI and unlock by Imei using pro tools or there is another way?
Thank you.
Pay for an unlock code is easiest.
Solved
Solved using this tutorial:
androidveterans.com solve-registered-network-galaxy-s3-i9300-issue-restore-imei
using zuluman`s patched kernel and modem, using original 4.3 firware from UK....and only with this firmware
Hope this helps others witch have the same problem.
Thanks
