Hai!
So I just copied the Android Froyo files directly onto my SD card, and when I try to open them on my HTC HD2 I recieve an error that the file cant be opened and I should try to reinstall it.
Any help ?
Bai!
When you unzip the downloaded zipped file on your PC, you should end up with an android folder. It's that folder that you need in the root of your SD.
It's detailed very clearly how to install and run Android on every single build page that I've read. You should start where you downloaded it from.

I did that, same error.
Anyonez ?
Please
We're not mind readers. What exactly did you do and what was the error?
ALright:
- I copied the folder to my SD Card on the HD2.
- I go to 'Start' -> File explorer -> And then I select the audio file thing and after that the file to start the Android itself.
When I do the last step, I get an error that says:
The file "CLRCAD/HARET" cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of it's componets cannot be found. If the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring this file.."
Search for sdkcerts and install that on your phone. That should fix your problem.
Sent from my iPhone 5 beta using the XDA App
Does it matter where I extract the file to ?
Do I have to put it on my SD card or on my HD2 program files ?
THANKS!
Tried both locations, getting an error while installing the .cab:
'Installation of SdkCerts.cab has failed.'

So what point I am at:

Then this person told me to download a .cab that would fix all the problems, and when I wanted to install it I got the error:
'Installation of SdkCerts.cab has failed.'
--------------------
And now I dont have a CLUE what to do! Lol
I am guessing you are running a stock windows mobile rom? You need to either run a custom rom or find "Advanced Configuration Tool" and install it so you can enable the rom to run all unsigned applications. Then you can run the android apps to boot it.
It is in the misc. section. More info: http://www.touchxperience.com/en/applications/advanced-configuration-tool.html
Uhm, where can I find a custom ROM :$?
I tried that Advanced Config, but when I try to run it on my phone it just gives me the error:
The file "AdvancedConfig" cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of it's componets cannot be found. If the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring this file.."
**** it, I will just peform a hard reset
Making a back-up of my contacts at this moment.
Peformed a Hard-Reset and the Android and all other files are working FKING GREAT!
Love you guys!
If you get that problem again, you should install an app called "bsb tweaks" (or a similar app) and set it to "allow unsigned"
this should allow you to install things that you couldnt before...........
Glad you got it sorted.
Thanks, John, for helping me out!
Hello,
I have been the happy owner of a SGS2 for 3 months and the recent need of having an external USB (for the moment, Bluetooth will come later) external keyboard connected to the USB/OTG port. So I bought a keyboard, connected it, and it worked like a charm !... except for the layout which cannot be configured in something else than QWERTY.
So I started my search of a way to change the layout and I found several ways, one of which seems to work well : changing the .kcm.bin and .kl files in /system/usr/keychars and /system/usr/keylayout directories.
I rooted my phone, installed the android sdk and started to adb push and pull several files, and heres come my question : for an external usb keyboard, WHICH .kcm.bin and .kl files are to be modified in a french SGS2 ?
If it is possible, I would like to keep the qwerty.kcm.bin original file intact. I tried to modify a qwerty2.kcm.bin that was there, without success. Is there a way to add a layout, and tell the system to use it for any external USB keyboard ?
Thanks for your answers.
All right, now I'm desperate... I even changed the qwerty.kcm.bin file, and it still didn't work... In fact I changed every possible kcm file present in the keychars directory, along with its corresponding .kl file in the keylayout directory... no success. I'm really wondering which file can be modified or added to let an external keyboard have its layout changed...
Any idea ?
What ROM do you use?
I have Galaxy 3 with Kyrrilos 8.1 and in root of my sdcard is hidden file .config_c38
Does anybody knows what this file is and from which application? Does anyone have this file too?
I tried to delete it but it always immediately appears again.
It's a text file obviously with some configuration setting. Inside is a text of about 100 characters without spaces and starts with zdyFt8GYHJH....etc
Interests me too.
I had that file on SD at the time I was testing various apps for my phone, so the file was from one of that apps. But now I don't have that file anymore, so it has to be from some of the app I don't use anymore. I never found out which one.
More than that I can't help you.
Guys I need HELP here...
My Go To Documents Files Folders become .exe
and because of that, i can't view, add, nor delete any files
when i clicked it, it opens in a new tab and no files on it
Is there anyway to make it a normal folder again?
else im thinking to reset the phone, but the phone is rooted and flashed to run ICS
is it ok to reset my phone? am i going to flash it again? etc...
Thanks in advance
i use file explore apps like astro or root explorer, long press on said file, rename it just like you would on a computer. from a ".exe" to what ever the format is supposed to be. it works for me.

I searched on app store and found ese file explorer
Installed it and successfully run it
BUT the rename thing doesn't seems to work
I renamed a .exe file sample download.exe
A long hold press, then rename, the rename was good but
the file type is still a file not folder,
And I don't have any idea on how to change the file type
Does ese explorer app doesn't do the work?
Should I try your suggested app?
Or no Choice just to reset my phone?
Thanks for the quick reply
btw guys, i fixed my .exe problem, by doing a factory reset,
but for those guys who have the same problem and don;t want to do factory reset
replies and solutions for this problem is still welcome

Hi,
I own a No.1 D5+ (smart watch - runs a standard Android 5.1, not Android Wear). The watch works well enough for what I had in mind when buying it, but there is one annoying thing: during bootup and shutdown it plays a melody at full volume regardless of the volume settings.
My plan was to root the device and delete / replace the file containing the melody. I searched for instructions specific to my model but couldn't find much, so I tried my luck with Kingoroot. That seems to have worked, though the root explorer app installed during the process still says it's not rooted, contrary to what the Kingoroot says.
Anyway, I tried renaming / deleting / overwriting the file both through Android Studio's Device Explorer and via adb shell, but always get an error "remote Read-only file system".
I'm guessing that means the /system/ folder is in ROM and can't be changed, or could it still be a software write protection? Is there anything else I could try to silence booting/shutting down?
I'm pretty new to all this, so any help is appreciated!
