Notification push problem - Huawei Mate 20 Pro Questions & Answers

Hello guys,
I have problem with the notification push in one app. I don't receive the notifications but when I'm reinstall it I receive them for a while and then stops again.
Does anyone knows what happens?

It's being killed by Huawei background manager.
You will need to goto settings/battery app launch check you have set to manage manually.
Think it's the same as settings/apps/apps launch

I have already set it to manually, but.. Nothing

[Q] Not getting push notifications for Twitter

Is it just me or is the latest Twitter version (3.0.0) lack push notifications? It used to be present in the older versions but the new version sort of removed it. Is there anyone else here able to get push notifications and can someone guide me to getting it?
working fine for me
you sure youve ticked the box wanting notifications? if you have id either clear data or uninstall and reinstall
No problems here. As suggested above, try uninstall+install again... or log in/out.

Did that before but shall try it again. Is it under menu -> settings -> account name -> tick sync data? But below it it has an option for sync intervals, meaning Twitter refreshes at fixed intervals instead of having instant push notifications. Is there anything I'm missing?

I don't have my phone in front of me, so I may be wrong, but if you disable the refresh intervals, it should switch to push, unless you completely disable notifications.

There is no way to disable refresh intervals. It has options ranging from 5minutes to 4hours but no way to disable unless you disable notifications completely. And even though I've set 1hour refresh interval I did not receive notifications for a mention from a friend today even though the mention happened 4 hours before I woke up and technically with a 1hour refresh interval I should have received a notification.
Did you ever figure out this issue? I did a reinstall and I still am stuck with set intervals.

No push notifications even though enabled?

So for my Venmo app, I am not receiving any notifications.
When I first downloaded the app, it worked fine. I got sick of the notifications and turned them off (from inside the app, not the app manager). I have since turned them back on and still never receive notifications. When I select the ringtone, it doesn't play the sample sound, it just accepts it. I double checked that push notifications is enabled from the app manager. Any ideas?

Amazfit Pace working only with phone calls , no notifications for messages

Hello ,
I have already read similar threads for this problem but still cannot fix my problem .
Only calls notifications works, it does not show me notifications from facebook , gmail, viber etc , I've already tried unpairing and pairing again with the phone, factory reset and uninstalling and reinstalling the amazfit watch app on the phone but nothing changed.
I checked the app blacklist and everything is enabled , this issue starts today , the previous weeks the watch works fine
Anyone can help me please?

Obviously I did restart my phone plenty of times
UPDATE:
After many restarts of my phone, 3-4 factory resets, and unistall - reinstall the amazfit app at least 2 times. It seems that the watch works fine again !
I dont know the problem is fixed (hopefully wont happen again) but just restarting your phone may fix the problem (may not work after the first restart, keep restarting your phone)
I also contacted amazfit to inform them , and they told me the same things
I am posting their answer:
If you can see them from the notification bar but can't see them through your watch, please check the following steps to troubleshoot your issue.
1) Check if you enabled the "silent mode" on the watch. If you enabled silent mode, you can't receive any notifications at all.
2) Enable the notification in the app
On the home screen of the Amazfit Watch app, select Notification Settings.
Tap the toggle switch to enable or disable push notification on your watch.
To enable or disable specific notifications, select App blacklist settings.
If you still can't receive the notification, please try the following:
Android
1: Go to settings --> manage apps' battery usage --> choose apps. From there, pick all the apps you want to receive push notifications and select "No restrictions."
2: Go to settings --> permissions --> autostart. From there, pick the apps you want to receive notifications, and toggle the switch to turn it on.
3: Lock the app in the "recent apps"/ "app overview" plane. Do so by first opening the apps, then press the "recent apps/overview button" . From there, find the app you want to receive notifications, pull down on it to "lock it", so it never gets cleared.
Hopefully this might help someone in the future
I think we need an update. Nothing of all them works for me.
I also have the same problem, watch only alerts me of the incoming call, no other notifications are pushed to amazfit pace...

I had random vibration issue: I reset my phone and it is fine now. Maybe reset might solve most of your problems.
I also had the vibration issue since 9.0 v.246 update (or something like that). The issue was present to the last EMUI 9.0 update and to this EMUI 9.1 update. I reset the phone and the issue is gone.
I had random vibration issue but i fix it.
1) Desactive the notifications in the download app.
2) Desactive the notifications in whatsapp: conversation tones(Play sounds for incoming and outgoing messages).
3) Restart phone.

I had the same problem too with my p20 pro. What i did was :
1. install Notification Logger from play store and enable it.
2. Then i play around with whatsapp untill the vibration occur.
3. After it vibrate, i open the notification logger app and browse the list.
4. Found out that huawei contact sync is running in background and send notification in background.
5. I just disable it because im not using it. Since then, no more random vibration.
Hope this help.
Hoe do I find and deactivate the app?
I cannot find it in my apps
Heres a link to he app :
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.hcilab.projects.nlog
Step to trace :
1) open the notification logger app once installed.
2) enable the service (first option on top). You might need to allow notofication access for this to enable.
3) play around with your whatsapp until the vibrate occur.
4) open back notification logger and click browse notification.
5) for me its contact sync, so i open that and disable it from there.
Thank you petalyaa. It solves my issue!!!

Question Push notifications problem

Of all apps / messengers I tried, only OkCupid push notifications don't work AT ALL on my Realme GT 5G (Android 12, Realme UI 3.0, C.20 GDPR). Viber, WhatsApp... working as expected without any fiddling with settings.
I literally tried everything I could think of:
I turned notifications on in app itself and in Android settings too (some of them that I need and, in the end, all of them). Battery optimization is turned off for the app. Background activity is allowed. Autostart allowed. Auto app-freeze and some more Realme battery settings turned off. Locked OkCupid app in task manager / left it to work in background. I restarted phone multiple times. Tried varius combinations of above settings. Deleted cache, reinstalled and updated app - nothing works. Only when I load app it'll show a badge on messages tab and sometimes even that doesn't work and I have to manually open the tab to see the message.
Also, GSAM battery monitor is sometimes being killed for no reason although I whitelisted it everywhere.
I'm out if ideas so if anybody have any fresh idea, please let me know.
Thanks.
