Stratos 3 wifi - Amazfit

The wifi connection on my Stratos 3 usually fails but today I tried the same solution on the router that fixed a few other troublesome devices. Router is a linksys WRT32X running openwrt. I excluded the mac address from the 5GHz 802.11acn radio0 and now wifi works and it updates without being activated in zepp.

[Q] Archos 101 Wifi

The wifi on my 101 keeps dropping frequently. I know its not my router, as I have 2 laptops, a desktop, 2 nexus one's, and google tv all running without problem on the wifi in the same locations as I've tried the 101.
It seems to drop every time it comes out of sleep and then every few minutes even while using the device. Tried spare parts, but still no success.
Any thoughts?
known problem with 2.0.54
We have to wait for next firmware release
Its to do with the encryption and security, using WEP or none and it works fine.
I have never dropped WiFi with WPA/WPA2 PSK.
Same. I'm using WPA2. Check out with wifi analyzer (from market) or similar apks if your wifi is using the same overlapping channel with others around you and ensure your signal strength is not too weak to the device.
May need to tweak the signal strength on your router to make it stronger otherwise, and change the channel to a free channel..

[Q] 3G/Wifi Flyer refuses to detect my router, what am I missing?

Just got a Wifi/3G Flyer today, running Gingerbread 2.3.3. and software version 1.56.720.2. I have a WPA2-PSK secured Belkin wifi router at home. Currently, it has 2 laptops and 2 phones (BB & Galaxy S2) connected without any problems.
My Flyer refuses to recognize the router, but it shows up my neighbor's similar WPA2 secured SSIDs instead - (so presumably the wifi hardware is working).
I have already tried/checked the following:
Router's SSID is not hidden.
Router supports push button WPS - does not work with the Flyer though it configured my Samsung Galaxy S2 perfectly fast.
Rebooted router.
Changed router security to none, WEP 64 bit and WEP 128 bit.
Manually entered settings - it just says my network is 'not in range' despite my sitting right next to it.
My router settings are:
Authentication - WPA-PSK + WPA2-PSK
Algorithm - AES
Wireless channel - auto.
Wireless mode - b/g/n all supported.
Is there a fix for this that doesn't involve rooting the device?
Update: Used the software update to get it to 2.3.4 and software version 2.27.720.1, and it still is showing up every goddamn wifi network in the vicinity other than my own one
change your channel from Auto to channel 10 or 11. Normally this will not affect your other devices. It seems that the Flyer is quite sensitive for this kind of 'problems'
Holy quack, that worked!
Thank you so much! I set the channel to 11, after which it started detecting the network, but would connect and instant disconnect. A reboot fixed it for good!

issue with android devices and wifi extender

Recently I bought a wifi range extender (TP-Link tl-wa730re first version) and I configured it in order to extend (range extender mode) wifi signal of my router over some rooms of my house. In particular I use this extender to take the signal into a room in which I already get router signal, but it's too low to have a fast connection.
So in this room I have 2 signal (I used this app to analize my conditions Play Store Link): the router one, with 20-30%, and the repeater one, with 70 %. I haven't any problem with my pc, but I have the same issue with my android devices (galaxy nexus, 2 nexus 7, htc sensation, xperia u): they randomly disconnect themselves for just a couple of seconds and then they switch between the 2 signals
Moreover about every 10 hours, I must reboot the extender, or every android device stops to get a working connection. For example, my gnex lost connection and continuously tries to connect to router, but it always fail.
If I move from this room to another one (especially if in this room router signal is stronger than before) my devices lost connection and I have to reboot phone or tab to get connection back...
My router has a WPA-PSK TKIP-AES password, dhcp enabled, automatic channel search enabled (the usual channel is always free), and wifi b\g\n with a speed up to 125 mbps. My extender has no password configured, dhcp disabled, same channel of router and its extended wifi has been seen by every android as the same of router (only 1 signal is detected into settings).
I already tried to set a static IP from wifi settings on phones but nothing change.. help please:crying:
Try wifi static from google play https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.farproc.wifi.statIc and find a working ip on your extender.
When you get them, go to your router settings and define a reserved ip with MAC adress (your android and ip working)
This should be done!
Hope this help you! :fingers-crossed:

Cant connect to WIFI

Hi Guys,
Just bought my Gear S, however i cant connect to my wifi, i am running an Aerohive AP230 with an SSID at 2.4Ghz WPA2 PSK and everytime i try im getting authentication error, my printer is also connected to that SSID. any clues??
Phone is disconnected from Note 4, just for testing i enabled an SSID on my telecom router with the same PSK (different SSID name), Watch can connect Successfully to the crappy telecom access point but not my aerohive Access Point, running out of options here...
Watch is running latest version.
If your phone is connected to your watch via bluetooth, I don't think you will be able to connect it to your wifi at the same time. Try turning off bluetooth
Check the WiFi channel. As far as I understood Gear S can't see the channels greater than 11.
My Note 4 is on WiFi when I am at home my Gear S is connected with Bluetooth it still works fine. I can connect my Gear S to my Tab S (WiFi only version) and it works fine

5Ghz Wifi - is it working for anyone ?

Hi,
I have been using the C5 Ultra Duel E5533 for the last couple of days and run into this issue:
Although I have read that this device supports the 5Ghz WiFi Band (Sony official Whitepaper) I am not able to discover the 5Ghz WiFi network I have set at home.
This is even more bizarre , as on the first time I setup the WiFi network the 5Ghz network was visible in the network discovery list - I could even connect to this 5Ghz network. Suddenly, after connecting to another 2.4Ghz WiFi network, the 5Ghz one just disappeared and I can never see it again in my networks list ?!
Tried resetting the WiFi router but still I cannot see/discover the 5Ghz network.
I am running the original E5533 firmware as my region didn't yet receive the latest update.
It does support 5ghz. Can it detect any other 5ghz routers? Like your neighbour's? Or if u have other devices that can work on 5ghz. It could be the channels that your router is using that's causing the problem.
Did factory reset - it's OK now
