LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 11 (R), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
Base source code is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to the project, please visit our Gerrit Code Review.

How do I install Magisk?
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/guide-redmi-7a-root-with-magisk-on-miui-11-0-7-global.4101429/ says I should flash arbitrary boot.img, recovery.img, vbmeta.img files.
I fear that my device won't boot anymore after that.

Seems All working correctly, on pine, 16GB version. Thanks
Hello, you can change the APN?
Rom works perfectly.
I hope the development continues.
Thank you so much.
This rom is fantastic!
I miss the automatic call recording feature in this rom. Manual activation on every calls working correctly, but it is impractical.
Will be this rom as official Lineage Rom?
My phone is on MIUI Global 12.0.2.0 QCMMIXM - do I need to downgrade it to an earlier firmware release before attempting to flash this ROM?

Well done @AOiSPdev Thank you for your effort !
Here are some bugs that I encountered while lineage OS 18.1 it:
1. when changing the wallpaper to a picture from gallery, the styles & wallpapers app is crashing.
2. when adding songs on a playlist that has been created, the music app is crashing.
nothing other than that, I'll update if I saw another bug.
hope this help.
thanks @AOiSPdev

Hi! I think you should install PBRP recovery from the same developer https://pitchblackrecovery.com/pine/. Also I think you shouldn't pull the zip img files, just install the whole zip file in recovery. If you don't like this build, there are lineage os from other developers: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-TCr72_4BP9GAji3g-MxXbTqj59MFlOs/view | cafebabe
There is a huge amount of kernel, firmware, drivers and enhancements for this phone in the telegram channels and chats.
Here are the instructions for installing the roms: if non-gsi just wipe system, data, cache&dalvik, and format data from yes.
If gsi: wipe vendor, system, data, cache&dalvik, and format data. Then install vendor, and reboot to recovery, and only then install the rom
Magisk install after rom install
Better yet, to avoid problems in the future, flash the factory firmware cleanly with fastboot, then flash recovery and vbmeta and only then install the custom rom https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/miui/pine/.
And do you know the difference between gsi and non-gsi rom?

Updated from lineage-16.0-20191007-nightly-land-signed to lineage-16.0-20191009-nightly-land-signed via built in updater and now I device bootloops.
It stays on boot logo for some time and then reboots back to TWRP with RescueParty console message.
Using twrp-3.3.1-1-land
lineage-16.0-20191009-nightly-land-signed does not work with open_gapps-arm64-9.0-pico-20191010
- eternal reboot in twrp. Without gapps, everything is fine.
before, los 15.1 and viperos 6.7 worked fine with gapps pico.

Security updates
Hey there,
thanks for the ROM, it has been running pretty smoothly since mid-February.
Now, I wonder, if there will be any security updates rolled out using this ROM. Do I need to wipe&flash the entire phone or do those updates get installed while continuing using the phone (re-installing would take ages...)?
I installed the Lineageos Downloader, but finds the installed nightly only, no previous or newer builds. Also, the LineageOS Update check (system settings -> System -> Updater) does not find anything.
Thanks for your help and stay save.

Check with the dev to make sure, ok ?

Hmmm, I got a solution for installing Magisk in this ROM.
Step 1: install the app Magisk (find it searching on google).
Step 2: Extract boot.img from the ZIP file of this Custom OS.
Step 3: Put boot.img inside Downloads folder of your phone.
Step 4: Open Magisk, select install, select Patch a specific image. Patch boot.img from Downloads folder. You will generate a file. Save this file in Downloads folder of your phone.
Step 5: Restart phone in Bootloader mode and start TWRP.
Step 6: Select install, open Downloads folder and still do not select any file. Click the button Install image, now the *.img files will be shown and search for the boot.img patched (not boot.img but boot.img patched). Select this file and advance selecting this: ***only boot image*** and confirm.
Step 7: Reboot.
Step 8: if you get bootloop, press and hold power + volume down for 20 seconds. It will restart normally.
Step 9: check Magisk app. It is rooted now.

Reporting Bugs
DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)

If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues. Any bug not reported in the bug report format below may be ignored.

successfully booted into lineage os with Gapps. So far so good, will update here if I find any issues
The ROM is so smooth, with out any errors or force close. I have not faced any major issues so far. Charging speed is 18w . and incoming call screen is sometimes transparent sometimes has a background overlay. Gcam did not work.
These are few things I found. Otherwise its prefect to be a daily driver.

It is good that the dev is creating roms but I tried almost 4 rooms but none are working. All are either rebooting to recovery or fastboot. Only MSM rom is booting. Followed the same provided flashing instructions.
Better someone please look into this problem. Even there are other users reporting the same.

This phone is still alive, that's impressive. Good job for this work, moshe, you outplayed yourself again with these updates!
Very good rom, the fingerprint sensor even if you configure it does not detect finger.
New build,
Changes:
1. All the fingerprint issues should be fixed now, it works perfectly in my testing (including on the setup wizard, and across reboots)
2. Added wireguard support to the kernel

Installed using TWRP version 3.5.0 (from official link: https://dl.twrp.me/zl1/twrp-3.5.0_9-0-zl1.img)
Your link to flamegapps didn't work (it said wrong version for your build), so I used: Nik Gapps (https://sourceforge.net/projects/nikgapps/files/)
Any ideas on how I can duplicate your success?
Fresh install and fingerprint scanner fails to register any activity and open camera fails to open the camera.
I'm happy to help however I can. Just let me know how.

It sounds like your persist partition got messed up, you'd have to either try flashing lineage 16, or stock, or flash the persist.img from the qfil zip as a last resort (don't flash the whole qfil zip though), as for gapps you probably downloaded the wrong one
Works surprisingly well. I've made this my daily driver. Coming back to my LeEco after giving up my Pixel 2 XL, I'm hard pressed to find anything I miss from the 2 XL that I don't get here. Moshe, you're a rockstar! Thank you!!!
Flashed from Lineage OS 16. Did factory reset then rom & gapps. It's stuck on the boot animation.

Basically Google made some changes to how persist is handled in android 10 and android 11 that can cause issues, flashing an older version and then flashing the update can sometimes fix it

Well, it totally worked. I flashed LOS 16, completed first time setup (not sure if this was required or not), and then flashed your ROM again and fingerprint scanner and camera started working again.
Thank you for teaching me. I'll have to remember that trick.

Yeah just use the recommended twrp, if it's still not booting then I'm not really sure why that would be happening, make sure you're not flashing any extra mods or anything

Got it working now. Thanks. Did wipe & format then version 16. Then another wipe and it booted up.
So, I've just realized that I'm only getting sound out of the bottom firing speaker instead stereo sound out of both speakers like my other le pro 3 running on the official LOS17.1 build.
Is there a setting somewhere that I need to toggle to enable this again in this great build?

How to install
Make sure you have latest bootloader and modem before installing this.
Make sure you are using the latest Twrp build. (the older ones will fail)
Make sure you have flashed the repartition script.
Download the Lineage build, optionally GApps and Magisk.
In Twrp format data. (Menu > Manage Partitions > Data > Format Data)
In Twrp wipe everything except SD and OTG.
Flash LineageOS.
Optional: Flash GApps (rightafter).
Optional: Flash Magisk.
Reboot.
Generally it's ok to dirty flash, but if you encounter issues a clean flash should be the first thing on your mind.

Because t585 does not contain a vendor partition, so this script repartitions the device and makes a partition for the vendor .

OK, thanks for the explanations ... I think I'll stay on my old A10 rom instead. I don't want to mess with partitions and stuff.

Thanks for the support for T585. Hope you continue supporting it.
Can you flash "any" Android 12 GSI after flashing it or only Android 11 GSI works?
And can you flash it on T580?

Can you make this for T580. Tried this partiton script but got /vendor (invalid argument) error
Hi
I have SM T585 U7
And I flashed (lineage16) on it, then I used ( repartition script) and flashed recovery (3.7.0.gtaxllt) and (lineage 18.1) and I did not like it very much, so I deleted it and also deleted (vendor) and flashed (lineage 16) again and restarted it, and it remained standing on the recovery logo and it did not It works until I flashed (cf root t585) via (odin), so it booted, but whenever I re-install any TWRP, it just stays on the logo and does not boot.
I got bored and wanted to restore the original system and downloaded it and put it in the (odin) and the flashing was successful, but the device continues to restart to no avail
I flashed TWRP again and found system (0
system img (3180
I do not know where the problem is, although the ROM is the original ROM, and the flashing is done successfully in Odin, but without a system
And it continues to restart. The Odin files that I used are the official AP.CP.HOMECSC .CSC.BL
I just want to return the original rom
Do you have a solution.
Thanks
I really need some help
I just installed this ROM successfully yesterday and it was working just fine on my sm-t585
But...
For some reason today it decided to brick my touch
Only the hardware buttons are functional and it's 50% charged so it's gonna take a lot of time for me to try to shut it down
So does anyone have any clue why that happened and how to fix it
(Note: the 2 touch buttons next to the home button are touch as well and they are also bricked)
Edit: I remembered that I installed the repartition script twice and now I have 2 vendors can I get rid of one ?! And how
Edit² : I did some troubleshooting and I found out what caused the touch problem...... It was the darn battery saving mode but now am wondering if anybody encountered the same problem
