I have 2 of these REVVL + phones and both of them are FRP Locked. When you go to install an apk, you can download the file but the package installer fails right away. Ive tried installing from system storage, installing in safe mode and the trippy thing about it is that both phones do that exact same thing. So I was going to just sideload with the adb or fastboot but theres no adb update or SD card update option in the recovery menu. Tried to find a glitch that would either make setup wizard crash or turn the wifi off at the same time it is searching updates so it would let me set a password or something. Any ideas are greatly appprrishilated!

Hello, I'm a little bit new to all this, so any help and detailed instructions are very very helpfull.
So I have Gigabyte GSmart Aku A1 device (MediaTek 6589), I don't know if it's bricked or what but apparently is not working quite well.
When I turn on my phone, it just loads and loads and loads and nothing happens (waited for about 4-5 hours), that was starting to happen after I somehow installed CWM on my device with some tutorial, CWM worked for the first time and after next reboot, it disappeared and stock recovery came back (and the problem with infinite loading screen - only showing logo).
I have ADB drivers installed, SDK aswell, tried to put stock firmware (got it from official site) and in like 1/4 of installation it says:
Code:
symlink: some symlinks failed
After that, I tried to install few versions that I downloaded from that official site, but same error again and again. (I tried to install with SD card and with ADB too. ADB is only working when I go to "apply update from ADB" in recovery. I have also used 2 different types of SD cards.)
That didn't worked either, so I got to some russian forum, and using google translator I downloaded 5-6 types of custom ROM's / Firmwares. That didn't worked either, one time when installing one of those ROM's - it said something about signature..
After that I was trying to install those ROM's with ADB and with SD Cards aswell, but turns out that every single time I get error saying: "Installation aborted.".
I have ofcourse tried to wipe data/factory and to wipe cache too, but nothing helps..
Also, when I'm in ADB console, when I type any command besides adb sideload or adb devices, I get error saying: "error: closed". I cant get into fastboot with adb console.
I really don't know what to do anymore, so any help would be very very appreciated. Thank you for your help in advance, if you need any videos, pictures or something, just tell me.
Edit: When I go to "wipe data/factory reset" in recovery, it says: "Mount /data error.".

i would look for stock rom in form of full mtkdroidtools backup and preloader drivers for your mtk chipset
and flash it using flashtool (it uses preloader[you can determine if it's available/undamaged by turning phone off and opening device manager on pc and plugging phone to pc if there will be a flash in device manager before the charging starts it will flash ])
So my phone had an issue earlier this morning where it would go through the entire boot process successfully until it got to the lock screen and then after a few seconds of displaying the lock screen( no touch response) it would go back into the booting process starting with the lg logo. So I thought it was just the rom messing up (sky dragon 3.0.1) so I re-installed it. Long story short after a few tries and some messing around it didn't work and now I have no operating system to go to or install. Is there a way that I can get a rom onto the phone through twrp recovery so I can install it? Or am I just missing something really obvious.
Thank you
The easiest thing to do would be to pull the sd card, load your rom .zip on it, pop it back in. Boot into twrp and wipe and install.
If you don't have a SD card but the phone is recognized by your computer when in TWRP, use adb push rom.zip /sdcard then flash.

there is an adb sideload function in the advanced menu of twwrp.
if you dont have adb, grab it from my Reference thread in general, and extract it.
place your rom and gapps in the adb folder,
right click anywhere in the folder, not over a file,
select open command prompt here,
start adb sideload on your phone by swiping the bar to the right,
in the prompt, type adb devices, to ensure your phone is seen by adb,
if not, install both drivers from the Reference thread and try again,
after connection confirmation,
type, adb sideload name-of your-rom-here-with-no-spaces.zip (if your rom name has spaces, rename the file removing them first)
then enter
it will take a little bit, when finished, restart sideload on the phone, then repeat the process with your gapps, and any other files you need to flash.
when finished, reboot, and you should be all set.
I am totally stuck: My nexus 9 does not boot anymore (actually it boot but I have a black screen with battery and wifi logo at the right hand corner.
I only can access the boot loader (fast boot mode) and the default android recovery which no allow me to do a lot of things...
I tried to download the Nexus Root Toolkit to try some fix but EOM is locked and adb debugging is not activated in OS (and OS crashes).
Please do you have a solution for me ? Thanks a lot...
Did this happen after an OTA update by any chance?
If so you could try the following: -
If you can get into recovery, you might be able to sideload the OTA again: - http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-9/help/failed-marshmallow-update-stock-android-t3226704

If it was not from OTA update a factory reset might resolve your problems.
Thank you for the reply
I tried to download an update and transferred it via adb sideload, but I got the error "system partition has unexpected contents".
I also tried to do a factory reset (from HBOOT and from android recovery), but now the system crashes on the setup wizard.
I get "Setup Wizard isn't responding.", and "Unfortunately, System UI has stopped." and I cannot open settings, enable usb debugging and unlock EOM lock.

Any chance it is still under warranty? RMA it with Google/HTC (or wherever you bought it).
Yes... this is probably my last chance.. unfortunately
If anyone else has another solution I'm interested
Is it possible to install a new rom with adb sideload from the default recovery ?
Is there a solution to reinstall the original rom without EOM unlocked ?
I finally managed to root my SM-T820 on Android Pie. How I did it is still up in the air to me. I know I was on Oreo (rooted), used the AP file only from Pie download and then reflashed TWRP, without letting the tablet boot up. then once in recovery, installed Oreo encrypted file, Magisk, and RMM.
Anyhow, things where going good but I noticed that when I removed "bloatware" things were not being completely removed. So I went back into recovery and did a wipe of internal storage, data, and cache (only). Then rebooted. Oh wow at the cleaned up OS, but now I have a few issues that I did not have before and can not seem to figure out how to resolve.
1st: The hardset buttons (home, recent) no longer work
2nd. the cog wheel in nofication no longer works -- taking you to settings
3rd: No longer able to set up any kind of accounts -- in settings, playstore, chrome, google
4th: No longer able to access developer options
5th: Playstore will not download or update apps
TWRP is installed with Magisk. Deivce is rooted. I have manually updated Playstore, Play service and AR, and Framework. Any advise you can give would be great. Titanium does give the warning that USB debugging is off, even though it was on along with OEM unlock.
Resolved and Upgrade Root Process For Pie
Thanks for the help. I figured it out and fixed the issue. For anyone else who has a similar issue, here is what I did. It may help you.
First Portion:
Enter recovery mode.
Link to computer
Open adb shell and issue following commands.
adb devices (to list your device)
adb oem unlock (to ensure OEM is unlocked)
Next Steps:
Once done, go to your recovery reboot options and reboot to downloader.
On computer open newest Odin and uncheck auto start.
In AP slot insert AP file only of Android Pie.
Start
At PASS, reset Odin (uncheck auto start), and re-enter downloader
(Reconnect to computer if needed)
In AP slot insert newest TWRP file
Start.
At PASS, reboot to RECOVERY
Notice device has not been allowed to fully boot into system. Do not allow it to boot into system or you will have to restart.
Recovery:
Swipe to allow modifications
Flash the Oreo Forced encryption patch
Go into Wipe menu and "Format data"
Use boot menu to Reboot into recovery
Swipe to "Allow modifications
Flash RMM-State_Bypass.zip
Flash Magisk
Reboot the phone into system
During the set up wizard, make sure you do not check diagnostic data!!
Thank you to ashyx and corsicanu for providing the links and their work that helped me figure this out. Enjoy. You can also use this to upgrade your rooted Oreo Samsung Galaxy Tab S3(SM-T820) to Pie.
Hi People,
I hope I am putting this question in the proper location.
I have had several attempts ate flashing a new ROM to my device as it was the Chinese version & kinda useless to me not having Play store or several other APPs I want. I also wanted to try ROOT a phone for the first time.
I managed to get as far as getting ADB & fastboot working & TWRP installed on the device. The first ROM I had put in my file storage was corrupt so I tried the Lineage 17 version which "seemed"to install with a success message, but the phone would only boot into TWRP. so I tried the Havoc ROM from the thread in this site area. Same thing, would only boot into TWRP. Then I thought I would start over & install the factory ROM from: https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/miui/olivelite/stable/V12.0.2.0.QCPMIXM/ with ADB & fastboot. I got a success message from the MiFlash tool but the device is now saying the "MIUI verson cannot be installed on this device" in one screen from the Redmi-Recovery 3.0 menu that's now on it.
From here I can Reboot, wipe data or connect with MiAssistant. When I try MiAssistant (PC Suite) the phone does not connect to my PC but I can see the ADB device from device manager and ./adb fastboot devices shows a serial number -but connected as sideload if that makes a difference?
I hope I explained well enough to be understood. Is there anything I can do from here to get it working or is it fully stuffed?
Ur device's bootloader still unlocked?

You should flash China factory rom, if you can.
