Duel SIM UK ultra on AT&T - Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Questions & Answers

I purchased this phone unlocked from EE. I use it with eSIM on Vodafone UK no problem. In SIM 1 slot I have a US AT&T card and SD in slot 2.
My problem is that when I'm in the US I only get H+ on the AT&T SIM but I get 4G on my Vodafone SIM that is roaming on the AT&T network.
I've gone on the AT&T website to get the APN settings but APN type says "default, mms, supl, hipri" but I don't have the option to select default, supl or hiring.
Does anyone have the answer. I know there is an option to use Vodafone for data but I'm trying to ration it because there is a roaming limit.

[Q] Vodafone SGS2 with TPG/Optus Sim

Hi all,
I have an unlocked AU vodafone SGS2 and am using my TPG $1 plan simcard.
I have found when using TPG sim I can only obtain download speeds of 10KB/s however on Voda sim I can get in excess of 300KB/s. I get 3G signal on TPG sim, I can still make and receive calls - just data is the issue.
AFAIK, I am using correct respective APN settings. My question is - is there some sort of hardware difference in the SGS2 which is making my TPG/Optus sim data extremely slow/limited?
Cheers all.

On Another Network

So I have me an Orange- UK sim card coming. My AT&T Galaxy S2 Is unlocked. I was wanting to test this in the states before everything. Its Prepaid but Orange Prepaid WORKS on T-Mobile in the USA. Since Network Selection is locked down Is there anyway to Select T-Mobile? Cause I know network secltion is locked. And yes the Phone is SIM UNLOCKED so I know it will take the sim card. its just will it connect to the T-Mobile Network?
It will work for calls. But Internet will only be edge. 3g and 4g(h+) for tmobile are run on a band this phone doesn't have.

But would my phone be able to get on the T-Mobile network at all since I can't select networks? And also idk about the att version but the T-Mobile galaxy s2 has the ATT 3g bands. But data does not matter. I just needed an UK number here in the states so calls and texts are just fine. But would it easily connect to the T-Mobile network without selecting it? Since it won't let me

Just do a search for tmobile apn's. Putting in the right apn will 'select' your carrier. Calling and internet will work fine. Just limited to edge. Tmobile phones are 100% compatible with at&t networks.

Sense it is similar unlocked it is network unlocked. Once you put your similar in and reboot it will go through the network set up again saying it detected a new similar card. After that it will connect fine. As for the data he is right the ATT version only supports ATT 3G or better bands, but as you said the data doesn't matter. If it doesn't automatically go through you can go into settings and select wireless networks and there is an option to scan for networks. Just select T-Mobile if that is what your carrier will run on. Not sure how it will react sense it will be roaming on that network though
On the att galaxy s2 it won't allow u to do network scan it search unless running miui rom

It would if your sim card prefers T-Mobile network. Although you can't manually select networks, SIM card contains instructions as to which network it prefers to use. There is really no need to manually select networks unless you don't like what the SIM carrier prefers.

[Q] Got htc radar unlocked but wont read t-mobile sim card

My girlfriend bought a T-mobile HTC radar off craigslist and It wouldn't read a T-mobile sim card. Which I though was weird. So I bought a unlocked code and unlocked it with my AT&T sim card. The phone will work with the AT&T sim card but not with a t-mobile sim card. I've try a contract and pre-paid T-mobile sim and nothing. I went to T-mobile and got a brand new sim card and still nothing. Like I said if I put my AT&T sim in the phone it work fine. Can some one please help me to get this phone to read a t-mobile sim. I though once you unlocked it you could use any carrier that use a sim card.
you'll have to call t-mobile to activate it with the sim card

I don't think so. I regularly bounce between T-Mobile and AT&T with all my unlocked phones. The only limiting factor is the radio and the data bands that it receives. And, of course the Radar was made for T-Mo. Mine has always been great there.
Now, there are two versions of the phone. The US version is simply called the Radar and can use either T-Mobile or AT&T's networks. The international version is model C110E and called either the Radar or the Omega. It will work on AT&T, but it does not have the T-Mobile bands. It is made for data networks in Europe and it additional bands for Asia. The antenna configuration is different in the two phones.
Does your Radar say "T-Mobile" in the top right corner? Is it possible that you have the C110E?
I got a unlocked code and it works on my at&t sim card but not a T-Mobile one. I've try contact and prepaid sim cards. Nothing! I got a new sim card and nothing! It a T-Mobile HTC radar. It should work on T-Mobile but it don't. A Friend of mine said T-Mobile has lock the phone from there end. I got the unlocked code and it works with at&t sim but not T-Mobile. I don't like the windows one. I've unlocked 3 mytouch, 4 SGII and a galaxy note. This has been a pain in the ass from day one. If u think of a idea let me know it won't hurt.

Maybe the IMEI has been blocked by Tmo? Call and find out.

what does LTE unlocked sim free phone mean

hi, Could some one explain me what does LTE unlocked sim free phone mean. Is it something like an unlocked phone? Can i use a Gsm sim in this?
Yes, you can use a GSM SIM in it. It's unlcocked.
Read it this way:
LTE, unlocked, sim free phone ...
LTE -- capable of using the fastest wireless data network, and it also supports the slower networks (like GSM)
unlocked -- it is not forces to use a particular carrier, like Rogers or AT&T
sim free -- the phone does not come with a sim card (that is for a particular carrier) and you have to purchase one to use the phone, the AT&T phones come with an AT&T sim

[Q] APN settings with non-T-Mobile SIM cards - manual or automatic?

Hey all, a (hopefully) quick question here. I have the T-Mobile branded HTC One. Obviously, it came with a T-Mobile micro SIM, and the T-Mobile APN settings already on it.
I had the phone unlocked (by T-Mobile, under their international travelers unlock policy) over the summer, and I used it in Scandinavia on both Tre Sweden and Saunalahti in Finland with prepaid micro SIM cards (that I bought in stores there). It worked perfectly fine, with full HSPA+ speeds - I was really thrilled.
I did run into one minor annoyance, though: my wife has an AT&T-branded Galaxy S III (unlocked by AT&T under their unlock policy, and which she now uses on our T-Mobile account). When she put the Tre Sweden or Saunalahti prepaid micro SIM cards into her GS3, her GS3 automatically read the APN settings off of the SIM cards, and updated the APN settings on her phone - so she was able to use data immediately with no tinkering.
However, on my HTC One, when I put in the prepaid micro SIM cards from the foreign wireless carriers, the APN settings did not automatically update: I had to read them off of my wife's GS3 and manually enter them into my One. Obviously, this wasn't a huge deal - it only took a couple of minutes each time. But it's certainly conceivable that I will be traveling on my own in the future, and not have her GS3 to read the APN settings from.
So, is there any setting I'm missing, or any way to have the T-Mobile-branded HTC One automatically update the APN settings when a new SIM card is inserted? Or does that always have to be done manually on the One? If so, that's a pain - why does it automatically work on the GS3, but not on the One?
Thanks in advance!
