'Charging slowly' on my Max M2. - Asus Zenfone Max M2 Questions & Answers

Hello friends,
I'm facing an issue with my phone. The phone is suddenly charging very slowly. Even from my original wall charger it's charging at the rate we expect from a laptop.
What happened was, my device is running on WaveOS (I don't think the issue was with this room, just mentioning). I had to reflash the ROM because I messed up magisk.
But I did this while the device was still plugged in and charged to a 100.
After the phone rebooted I used it for a while then when I plugged it in it was showing charging slowly. I had to wait 8 minute or so for 1% charge.
What do I do to fix this. I already tried wiping the device and flashing another ROM (now Arrow OS) l. But the issue remains.
Please help.
Edit: I now have tried different cables different wall sockets. Nothings changed. I also let the battery drain completely them let it charge to a 100 uninterrupted.
It took 3 hours for 0 to 100. Also it took 1 hour and 15 minutes for it to go from 75 to 100.

[q] major battery issue

Hey Guys and Gals
This morning my phone was completely drained so i plugged it into the wall plug to charge up. However it did not turn on and begin charging until i did a battery pull.
When it began charging, there was the little yellow triangle (normally there when my device has been drained). A couple of minutes after, the battery began charging BUT it was nearly full
So i switched on the device, went to Applications>Settings>About Phone>Status
There the battery read 96% and charging from AC. When i unplugged it, the numbers began literally jumping backwards and the phone died within two minutes.
I tried charging again and had to do a battery pull again. For good measure, i did a factory reset but the issue was there still, only, when it is plugged in, the battery slowly DECREASES :S maybe like 1% every 2 minutes.
Can someone please help me and let me know if it is a battery issue or a phone hardware issue itself?
Im running Gingerbread btw (downgraded from ICS about 3 weeks now because it sucked....and i missed GB lol)

Easiest way to check is to use another battery in your phone and/or to test your battery in another phone.
So you only need to find someone with a compatible phone/battery.
Or go to a store and ask for help.
Good luck !
Or use a volt meter to test if your battery is dead ie <3.7, the s 2 tends to exaggerate the value more often than shrink the percentage of battery, but your case is a bit extreme, it might have to do from going from ics to gb, don't take my word but apparently its bad to downgrade from ics to gb

[Q] My phone turns off at random

I have a note 1 N7000, and each time the screen began flickering and after that it shut down. This got worse after flashing a cyanogenmod rom. By plugging in the charger the battery seemed empty, but wasn't. After a while the battery indicator used to show charged 70 % or more. Put the charger cable off and the situation repeated after a short time of usage. Last night it started turning off at boot and wouldn't turn on unless on charge. I flashed a original JB rom since the problem doesn't happen when on recovery/download mode. but now it does it even when connected on charge.

S3 Not Charging (no matter what I do!)

Hey all.
I've seen a few posts with this topic but none seem to completely match the symptoms I've been having;
I've got a samsung S3 i9300, stock ROM and unrooted with a serious charging issue. Seems no matter what I do the phone won't charge. I've tried:
Mains Charging
USB Charging (through PC)
Wireless Charging
Changed three different batteries
Used the galaxy charging app to make sure it's getting the 999 it needs on mains
Begged the Gods to charge it.
On everything it will state the phone is charging but never go above 3 or 4% regardless if it's on or off.
I've watched the battery graph nosedive whilst it's off charging, putting it on charge only flattens it a bit.
I'm just curious as to how I go about fixing this; is this some sort of software glitch? Have I been cursed? Do I need to perform some sort of battery exorcism?!
My thanks for any and all replies.
sounds more like a hardware issue ,have you tried with other battery(new ones) ,how old is your phone ?
Try factory reset, followed by stock firmware flash with Odin if that doesn't help.
If still the same then probably hardware, charging circuit failed. A work around would be two batteries and external charging cradle.
I've tried a factory reset. It seemed happy to charge on mains again but got up to only 45%, and levelled off; it refused to charge more (I left it for an hour) It then started dropping rapidly, going from 45 to 41 in less then two minutes.
I've noticed another oddity; even though I've turned WiFi off, the battery screen reports it as constantly on.

[Q] Samsung s3 battery reading problem

First post, been floating around for awhile. I've tried searching the site and I've tried searching google and I'm still stuck..
I'm currently running twrp and CM11. Which I have been for awhile and it worked great.
The problem I am having is I will plug my phone in let it charge to 100% after on plugging it it will drop down 5% every 5 minutes. The phone can say 40% and I can plug it in and it will jump back up to 75%. Sometimes I'll plug it in and it won't go past 42% after being plugged in all night.
I've completely wiped the phone.
Purchased new battery.
Charged with different cables.
Used others peoples battery which was 100% working.
Please do not respond with calibrate battery or wipe stats........
Thanks for the help and any ideas!

Nexus 9 LTE not charging (battery or charging port?)

Hey guys. Hope you can answer my questions. My device stopped charging like 2 days ago. Before this the battery was fine, but I did have slow charging problems that I somewhat fixed by flashing a kernel with usb fastcharge. I’ve been flashing a lot of roms on it as well, and before this whole thing happened. I was LineageOS and could charge the battery to 100% no problem. Right now the OS on my tablet is slims and I noticed that I couldn’t get a full charge out of it. It would usually it would cap out at 85 percent and no higher.
Now I’m just trying to diagnose the problem and I have some questions. I really think it might be the charging port of the nexus 9 that’s faulty because sometimes it won’t detect my charging cable. I tried leaving it to charge overnight and it went from 19 to 21 percent the whole night. But when I tried replugging in the cable for about 20 mins the battery rose up by 10 from 21 percent (31). I also tried turning off the tablet to charge. The cable was detecting and flashed the percentage for battery but it never went up, just stayed at the same percent. It started from 13 percent that time and stayed 13 percent despite charging for about 40 mins. Also I know the cables not faulty since it can still transfer data fine and the cable was newly bought recently (ANKER cable). I was just considering replacing the charging port and the battery but... it seems like there’s no available new replacement parts for the LTE version, just the WiFi.
So my questions are: will the charging port for the WiFi work for my LTE tablet? (I just wanna ask one more time cause I’m not sure myself)
Is this definitely a hardware issue and not something I messed up on flashing my device?
Depending on what answers I get I might just ditch the tablet (I don’t know if I can still sell it, at least for parts) and just buy a shield tablet.

The port should be the same for both. It's actually the "USB daughter board". They're like $10 on eBay. Not sure if that's your problem, but the wifi and lte ones should be the same. Took me like 20 minutes to change. Just a few screws and ribbon cables.
Also, some roms have an issue of not displaying battery percentage right. After its on charge for a bit, unplug and replug, and see if it jumps up a few percent. If it does, there is a battery fix zip floating around that installs the stock battery healthd and fixes that.
