Hello!
I have a question about the S21 widgets (I mean stock oneUI widget wich come with the phone).
1) There is a widget for follow the stocks?
2) There is a weather widget WITHOUT the clock?
3) The sources of the news on "Samsung Free" can be customized?
4) Where I can find for every Bixby update the changelog (if Samsung provite it?)
Thanks a lot in advance!

History:
2011.06.02:
- !!! Important: read first part of new Usage instructions!!!
- News backgrounds also as transparent as Weather widget
2011.06.01:
- 6 backgrounds from opaque to transparent
- Updated (& fixed) layout
- Can resize to 2x1
- Stardock iconset
- News & Weather uninstaller (if You had preinstalled it in You ROM)
2011.05.29:
- Initial release
- News & Weather (a.k.a.Google's Genie Widget) version: 1.3.04
Modified layout features:
- Can resize to 2x1,3x1 widget (if Your home-screen have resizing ability)
- Large fonts for readibility
- Fits to small screens without need to scroll
- StarDock's free iconpack included
- 6 versions of backgrounds from opaque to transparent
Usage:
Please rename .apk to GenieWidget.apk before install a variation!
Pay attention to upper/lowercases! (Android filesystem is case
sensitive)
This is for correct uninstall, since Android not clears package info,
so if You want to revert original News & Weather widget, You will got
an error "Certificate mismatch"
If You have no News & Weather Widget preinstalled OR You just update this widget You have NO need to uninstall anything.
BUT if You having original News & Weather Widget preinstalled as a system-app, then You must to totally uninstall it in either way:
A.) If You have ADB just start "remove_news_and_weather.bat"
B.) copy "remove_app.sh" & "remove_news_and_weather.sh" to "/sdcard" then execute "remove_news_and_weather.sh" with a file manager like RootExplorer Notice that if You want Your original widget back, please backup it and follow previous procedure to wipe my version out before install the original!
To decode all background versions, start "run_me.bat" on Windows.
If You are on linux, download Xdelta from here: http://code.google.com/p/xdelta/downloads/list
To manually decode a background version here is an example for 75% transparent background:
xdelta decode 075.xdelta

Notice that I can't provide technical help as this is just a theme and I can help only in that case if layout broken.

Nice job man!
Could you please make one with a transparant widget? Thanks!
Transparent version would be great if possible
Update soon
OK, I make a few variations.
Also I will include this icon-set: http://www.iconspedia.com/pack/weather-602 Feel free to contact me if You can provide a nice icon-set, I didn't searched the net too deeply! Also, You can send me backgrounds.
Today I fixed layout errors, and tried to find a correct solution for system-app uninstall. Cyanogen users enjoy News & Weather as a system app and unfortunatelly _perfect_ uninstall is not as easy... (...for beginners ) I trying to include a one-click solution for this problem.
Thanks, works great on Froyo Remi-X10 Mini
Update:
After a disabling Wifi or 3G (for refreshing) the information for 7 days disappears completely... in the previous version if wanted to open the widget, it kept te last refreshed informations... too bad. Can you fix it?
@feyce: I tested RemiOwain on Pro and I can acknowledge this behaviour, but 1 time out of 4 it did WORKED well (!).
My guess is that: weather widget collects data from internet and Android caches that files. On original SE and Cyanogen 7 weather widget can get files from cache but Remi maybe clears cache at boot (this maybe depends on free memory).
I did not encounter such a problem that only 7-day forecast is missing - if cached info at hand, widget always using that, even if manually refresh.
Do You turn off phone at night? Try to connect internet at morning and if phone not rebooted (by a bug or manually) then widget will show all news and weather infos.
By the way what You referring as "previous version" (?) as You tried the initial one. To take-down this "bug" I tried 1.3.01, 1.3.03 and 1.3.04 versions of Google's widget.
Just tried transparent version and it is only transparent if you select the weather only widget. "News" and "news & weather" widgets both have black background, please fix this
Cheers
It's normal - as I'm absolutelly not interested in the news
My main target was to reduce Weather's meaningless 4-wide widget and make forecast/dayview QVGA-friendly (read: not to force scroll down 20 pixels to use some features).
I made an update (11.06.02)
Thank you for taking time to do the update
it's possible to have this widget on our galaxy S2? (see attachment) i don't like the widget of samsung.
There's a huge selection on the market:

Hello guys,
I'm looking for this Weather Widget, an online friend of mine has a LG Maximo 2x with this widget (see attachment, since I can't publish outside link because I'm a recent user)
This is the animation that opens when she tap the widget on me phone desktop.
She told me this is Accuweather version, but I can't find it . (maybe it isn't accuweather, I only know what she told me).
This app also allows sharing with social networks.
I would really like to find it. Please help me.
:fingers-crossed:
It is accuweather, since it displays RealFeel temperature, which is a trademark of accuweather. However, it is different than the accuweather widget we have for touchwiz. It is probably specific to whatever framework the LG phones use.
Nifty little widget there. Me likie.

This is the Accuweather widget, as stated above, but there is a difference between this widget and the widget that comes pre-installed on your S2. The pre-installed widget takes up half the screen and does virtually nothing if you press it. The widget in your picture is available after you download the "Accuweather for Android" app from Google Play.
After you have installed that app, add the plain Accuweather widget to whatever screen you want (!!!not the Accuweather.COM widget!!!) and you should have a very similar, if not identical, widget to what your friend has.
Keep in mind, though, that the picture you posted will only show up after you press the widget for more details. The actual widget is very small and has no animation.
I have AccuWeather for Android installed and that is definitely NOT the widget from it.
It has two, and neither one is the one in that screenshot. Its got the original dark grey 4x1 widget and a new, rather ugly and seriously battery killing, 4x2 with the weather and a clock.
As said, its probably a custom version done for LG just like Samsung has their own.
Not sure what you expect the stock TW AccuWeather widget to do when you touch it. It opens up the Samsung AccuWeather app just fine for me, just like the one from the Play Store opens its respective app.

The only one Accuweather for Android that appears on the GooglePlay is that Accuweather.com (wich is ugly, its the black one with no animation at all).
I really can't find that Accueweather for Android.
The imagem attached is the Accuweather for Android.
Hmm
Well I have the GoWeather Ex widget that is pretty similar to that one, maybe you should try that one out buddy.

You'll have to read and learn that's the best solution imho. It seems that this snapshot is a mix of UCCW + Zooper Widget + an icon pack. Bunchs of tutorials & templates are available on XDA for UCCW and Zooper.

The launcher is likely Nova or Apex and there is an icon pack applied however it would be nearly impossible to tell you which icon pack it is without asking the phone's owner or scouring the Playstore or XDA or elsewhere for hours and hours.
That vertical calendar widget is defintely from Zooper Widget. You can download the app for free in the Playstore. The vertical calendar comes with it and it is called UpCalendar. Once Zooper is installed add a 2x4 widget to your screen and choose that UpCalendar widget
That clock widget may be Zooper as well but I agree with Primokorn that it may be UCCW. You'll have to search for it. Another option for a clock is to use the Playstore App called Zooper Widget Gallery. It will show you a lot of other clocks that are really nice as well.
Also, there is a really cool website called My Color Screen that has beautiful home screens and phone themes and they have step by step tutorials telling you exactly what to download and how to configure the widgets, icon packs, launchers, etc. I highly recommend checking the site out and trying out some of the themes so you can get an idea of how to customize your phone and make it look pretty :silly:
Hey guys I see all these Note 7 and S8 ported ROMs but have yet to see the S8 Clock Widget available for all launchers. Although I have seen the s8 weather widget available. I have even seen the S8 Clock Widget on the lockscreen but not available as a widget.
I know it is possible to create a zooper widget for yourself. But I am lazy and this is an easy way to get it with no effort at all.
- Download xwidget from the app store
- Within the app in the online section search s8 clock and there should be an option and download it.
- Just add the widget and you're set!
It looks like xwidget has a bunch of other cool widgets available too.
Lemmi know if you have any questions. Idk why but I love the clock in this format lol
Update: As the time past today I see that this widget uses two digits at all times for the hour which isn't exactly like the S8 Clock Widget but it is really close.
S8 Clock Widget format:
6
20
X widget:
06
20
I couldn't find a way to change it in the settings. If somebody finds a better option let us know!
