Hey
I just received my k40 pro bought from giztop.
Today the miui 12.5 update showed up and I'm concerned I will lose gapps support upon updating.
Anyone can explain if it's safe to update?
Thanks for the help.
Hi mate, i'm K40 Pro user too. Gapps work normally on Xiaomi.eu 12.5 (21.4.29 Dev build). Not sure about China rom.

You probably already updated to EU if you have GApps. There's a Xiaomi.eu 12.5.3 stable available to update your device from them. It has Google Services running already. These notifications for updates don't overwrite existing apps BTW unless you choose one that specifically says "wipe data." Just don't wipe data you'll be fine. That's a standard update when it shows on the phone.
I'm pretty sure Giztop installs Xiaomi.eu before shipping anyway. You'd know because the factory ROM has tons of Chinese apps you'd never use. If no GetApps application exists, you're already on EU. Hope that this is helpful.
Hei there, i am a k40 pro user, too.google service was supported for chinese rom, you can find the service entrance from the setting "Account and Sync",just try to download a google play store app and then install the google play store, and you can use it

Yeah, I've also been thinking about deleting them.
However I've heard that deleting analytics may result in a bootloop.

can anyone tell if analytics is safe to remove?
I have freezed both MSA and Analytics with Titanium backup on my Redmi Note 3 PRO running latest official Global Developer rom beta MIUI 8: no problems for two days and no bootloops.
I removed MSA. Analytics I am apprehensive of.

They are just spyware apps, for advertising purposes

I had issues. Somehow.
removed both no issue redmi note 4 stock rom
I am using xiaomi.eu ROM which is China based and both apps are not available.
Sry to pop up that old topic but i was wondering before removing those by adb, how come for com.miui.analytics in my Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE, why when you force close of app, it gets instantly waked somehow. What sort of code is used "built-in", since when you check the "all permissions status allowed" in settings there is no paramaters to get on shell commands. Plus it does not use any window, nor it presents anything to get his records, exept at a time it was regurlarly calling a google's domaine titled pubsub-pa.googleapis.com. Since MIUI 13.0.10 update it does not contact domaine directly, i guess they hided it by wallpaper as it use regular usage of mobile data through the forth ground and not anymore in a back ground usage. Yet when you check usage total by user, it shows up non... From my opinion, as google is turning every single apps depending DNS usage, it wakes up by external DSN calls.
I would like appreciate to get more infos on that one, if any of you guys have some more, since unactiving it wont stop its activity, the only thing to do to avoid its constant tracking by full uninstall, and it s now a system app with "last update from" Analytics, check pics for details. Thanks in advance for any reply.

I would love to get my hands on that but I allways have an error unpacking system.new.dat
its very buggy to download it, i trying since several hours
with a very good connection
first day of release, i think very much downloads on this server
I downloaded two time and tryed to install and nothing to do, I feared to brick the phone
maybe somenone to put it on mega o google drive
OK, I was able to download it.
Dirty flashed it over the 446D developer ROM. Its older version interface like 19s or 21 s.
So, if you like 21S or 446D rom. No need to flash this one.
ok its running very well, parts of google inside,

I had the beta 21 installed and just downloaded the official 20 version and used the update version and had no problems with the update.
I dont know what the differences are between the beta and the official version but I am finding the fingerprint to be more responsive.
The camera version is the same so I dont know if there was any improvements.

...anyone else got the Xiaomi MiPad 4 yet? Any recoveries (twrp?) available yet?
hope this helps someone... By default my MiPad 4 came with MiUI 9 stable...
This next link might be fake. After installing, myself and some other users have noticed it's still MIUI 9 "beta" so you might as well skip this "update"...

**Copy file on sdcard and go to update section in MiUI and in the top right-corner click on the menu and select to update from sdcard and it will find the rom.

Will this update without Root?
It's the Xioami update rom, so yes you don't need root.
There is no special recovery (twrp) yet and you have to ask Xiaomi for permission to unlock your bootloader so root is not available yet, that i know of.
I've already asked them a few days ago. Also I installed the room and all it did was move me to a beta rom still on MIUI 9
Yeah I also installed the rom and noticed it still said "MIUI 9" and have asked for the bootloader to be unlocked... hopefully we will have a working twrp version by the time the unlock wait is over with...

But this also means, it could take quite long until an international version of the tablet appears. That's disappointing.

Does anyone know if this might also work with the Mi Pad 4 Plus?
AFAIK (and read hear) many tablets come with these fake-shop ROMs.
But after I started my Pad4LTE it said, there is an update and it installed it..
Settings and all the other stuff is ENGLISH and I even have a PlayStore installed?!
But before putting my MI.com and/or google credentials into the tablet, I wanted to know if that ROM is legit or some fake ROM.
Before update (dunno, attachment doesnt work)

My guess is that they installed it for you at the shop. Mail them to confirm.
Maybe the did in China, because it was delivered from there directly to me.. No extra stop in Europe somewhere. The "shop"/site/seller name is "tradingshenzhen".. But I will mail them to be sure, before adding PlayStore/MI-account.. I am still wondering why I have a Chinese nano SIM..

He actually did you a favour, he could have unlocked your bootloader and put a 3rd party modified ROM as others have done.
About the nano SIM, others received it to. Maybe they need to test the tablet and donĀ“t bother taking it back out.
As long as you have a locked bootloader, you should be ok with a legit official ROM.
So, when I unlock my BL the PlayStore will be removed, because it will be "factory reseted" or?

When unlocking bootloader everything is erased, yes.
Hi.
Phone asked to reboot and went into bootlap (photo 1), offering "Try again" or "Factory data reset".

The first option returns to the choice again, and the second one does not suit me.
The bootloader is locked. I tried to change the slot through ADB - it did not work, because its blocked.
I can go to the stock Recovery. I tried to update via "Apply update from SD card", by Recovery ROM.
But newer than 12.0.18.0 I can't find it online - all links are broken.
And on the current version 12.0.18.0 I get an error.
