Dear POCO X3 Indian (6000MAH Non-NFC Variant) Users,
I have been looking to enable call recording on my device and finally got a workaround. The process is long and very difficult if you are new to this. Read carefully and do some searching to get them done properly. Here is the procedure step by step:
1. Upgrade to the latest ROM that is to say MIUI 12.0.10. May work with all other MIUI versions.
2. Unlock bootloader.
3. Install custom recovery.
4. Install Magisk to gain root access.
5. Install the Module inside Magisk App from SD card.
6. Set default apps and give all required permissions in settings => apps => manage apps => show all apps/default apps and by finding contacts and dialer, messaging app etc.
Congratulations... You have installed MI Home, Phone, Contacts, and Messaging app. (Enjoy)
Update- 17.05.2021: Now you can get MIUI Launcher also. No need to use debloater. Its included in the module.

Do you use floating window? Scrolling on floating window is not working in Indonesian rom if another overlay is enabled. For gaming i need to use floating window n overlay. 12.0.10 doesn't have this problem. Also the visuals, of miui 12 is better, battery also is better if u uninstall the update of security app.
Moreover, u may restrict background activity of magisk in settings.

Hi,
Did any1 got any solution for this?
Hi, is there a similar module for global version too? Also is there a module with miui dialer and messaging only? I prefer poco launcher over mi launcher the versions they have on telegram groups work for android 10 only and not for 12.0.10 global(android 11)
Anu updates guys?
Hi,
Updated Answer - I tired the above Magisk Module, found no issues using Google Chrome, Call Recording, Gallery. Only thing missing was Call Blocker.
I am even using POCO Launcher & Call Recording works without any issue.
Using POCO X3 Indian Model (Non NFC)
MIUI Version (For Poco) - MIUI Global 12.0.10 Stable (QJGINXM)
Poco X3 Model - M2007J20CI
Tried installing in Poco X3 non NFC latest version 12.0.2. but it gave bootloop. Hope it will get updated with latest version

Hi,
posting my Magisk mod that I am using since couple of years. This mod works and testen on K20 pro, Note 7 Pro and K30 Pro Zoom Edition.
What does it do?
It enabled Google location History in Google maps. This is only needed for Chinese roms (Stable or Development).
Requirement is Magisk
This mod is based on Magisk module "unlock-cn-gms" updated to work with Miui 11 and 12.
As usual Warranty void. I do not take any responsibility use your brain when installing stuff from internet.
Now it has been recorded normally! Thank you very much!
However, there is no time line in the google map, it can only be viewed through the web page...

Clear Google Maps data in App Info and then pause and resume Location history in Google settings.
This happens if u install Magisk module afterwards.

Why do you want to use that chinese crap? There are far better alternatives out there. Any specific feature you are missing? Anyway, for your solution, you can try extracting the apk from recovery rom zip and install it again or download it from here https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/xiaom...-2020101000mivideo-gp-2-android-apk-download/

Friends now Automatic call recording can be enabled by installing Boldbeast call recorer. Remember to select mode 12 in settings.

xiaomi.eu ROM's have call recording option in dialer app, also have option for automatic call recording, but you need to unlock bootloader to flash xiaomi.eu ROM. See my screenshots below:

or even her on XDA we have thread for POCO X3: https://forum.xda-developers.com/xiaomi-poco-x3-nfc/how-to/rom-xiaomi-eu-rom-poco-x3-nfc-t4165247
You don't need to flash anything, you can stay on global rom to have automatic call recorder. You need to follow this tutorial https://how2foru.com/how-to-record-phone-calls-on-your-android-phone_457/. If you want to unlock bootloader then better to install custom rom (instead of any xiaomi bloatware) such as Nitrogen OS android 11 it has automatic call recorder in the dialer .

Just to remind, any custom ROM other than xiaomi, have bad image quality, tested almost all what we have now in developer section.
In my case I stick to xiaomi.eu because:
- have less bloatware than global or EEA ROM, you still can remove if you don't need any app via ADB
- have call recording working out of the box
- and have good picture quality in stock camera app.
- battery is good enough, I got 3days and 11h SOT so it's not to bad

My remarks:
- I don't think you can remove bloatware through ADB at least based on my tests it only HIDES apps so current user doesn't see them but they are still on the system partition. That's why you can easily revert changes if you want app to reappear.
- have call recording working out of the box - same with Android 11 custom ROM (i.e. NitrogenOS)
- and have good picture quality in stock camera app. Agree but look into Gcam thread and you will find that for many people gcam already produces better pictures than stock camera (and it will get better over time). Gcam is much worse than stock regarding videos not pictures. And that's the only reason people may stick to stock ROM.
- battery is good I agree. Again it can by slightly improved on custom rom espacially if you decide to de-google your phone. This option is unavailable with Xiaomi ROMS.

- you never heard about XiaomiADBFastbootTool ? here you go: https://github.com/Szaki/XiaomiADBFastbootTools you can remove any app, backup will be on PC so always you can restore them through ADB. Or you can also freeze any app like you said.
- about the camera there is difference in quality in case where gcam was used in stock ROM and same version of gcam in custom ROM, it's hard to explain, it's like stock ROM have some extra libs or whatever make pictures looks little better. Not sure, but I did few tests, and gcam pictures looks better in stock ROM than in custom when you focus on details in that picture.

Thats the quote from FAQ of that tool
What's the difference between uninstalling and disabling?
The OS sees which apps have been disabled and it can re-enable them whenever it pleases but it cannot do the same with uninstalled apps. Apps you disable may come back anytime and you can also re-enable them in the Settings, while uninstalled apps will only return if you reinstall them (using ADB or an APK) or factory reset the device. There's no difference when it comes to their impact on the system, however, functionality or performance wise, so I recommend uninstalling apps which you believe pose a security/privacy risk and disabling everything else.
What apps are safe to uninstall?
All applications in the list are safe to uninstall. You might lose access to some services but the device will keep working just fine. Some other apps, like Gallery or Security, aren't listed because uninstalling them would soft brick your device.
Do uninstalled system apps affect OTA updates?
No, you are free to install updates without the fear of bricking your device or losing data.
Do uninstalled system apps come back with updates?
No, uninstalled apps should only come back when you reinstall them or factory reset your device.

I reckon that would be an important element for understanding our PX3 modding limitations.

I tested it almost two months ago since then I'm on custom ROM. It is very easy to verify whether I'm right or wrong. Running global ROM try to remove one of the system apps for example youtube with this adb tool. After successful uninstallation go to playstore and choose youtube app. Playstore will offer you to install or to update the app. Then you will know if system app was indeed uninstalled or just hidden for current user but still installed in the system. I already know the outcome.

You're right. If you want to remove system apps 100%, reboot to twrp, mount /system, navigate to /system/app & /system/priv-app than remove apps that you don't need.
That means that you can't remove system apps without root. ADB will just disable them & uninstall app to fabric version.

As a thank you to everyone who kept posting articles about debloating MIUI, I want to share a list of safe to remove apps for Poco X3 NFC [MIUI Global 12.0.8 Stable]. Note that I use Mi Home and Aqara apps, so I had to keep some of the Xiaomi stuff. Also I will not go into detail about what these apps do, because there are tons of articles for that already.
List of Xiaomi apps that I have disabled via adb (no root required):

Has anyone tried removing Poco Launcher, and seen if that will help Gestures work with Nova Launcher on Android 11? My only desire to remove it is to get Gestures working on Android 11 using Nova, like it did before.
There must be something which it uses to determine what the system launcher is (not default launcher).

Guys, I've a newbie question...
It happened to me also some months ago with MIUI EEA A11 12.0.8.0 and a couple of days ago with MIUI EEA 12.5.2.0 too.
Previously I was using the 12.5.2.0 installed at the end of August '21. Normally I convert the ROM to RW ( Read & Write ) by TWRP scripts in order to be able to manually change some things...
After changing to RW the ROM, normally I uninstall some unuseful system apps, like Google Duo, Google Play Films, Google Podcasts, Google Photo, etc.
I've noticed that after a clean install of 12.5.2.0 over the same version, the uninstalled apps of the previous rom continue to be uninstalled on the new clean installed situation. It's normal this behaviour?
Usually for a clean install, I proceed to:
* wipe Cache / Dalvik / Data
* flash the ROM
* format Data
* prevent TWRP replacing
* convert ROM to RW
without wiping System partition. I suppose this is the reason... But I would like to ask your opinion if it's possible.
Hi,
Please anyone with easy method or steps to uninstall Google dialer and message and replace with MIUI dialer and message.
I don't like Google dialer on my Redmi Note 10
Anyone help
I'm still searching i haven't fount yet. you can use third party MIUI theme dialer it's on the get app store. but i never tried, try it your own risk key word to search
" Dialer MIUI lite ".
The original Miui software is dependent on the Miui system.
Google Play is one of the few alternatives.
If You install Indonesian fastboot rom after unlocking bootloader there is miui dialer and miui messages app but Indonesian rom is buggy and has serious issues and you have to restart your device three times a day or else there is no sound I used this rom for three days it is not worth it. Sorry for my bad English.
what is the best miui version and of what region
Try using this app. TRUE PHONE DIALER & CONTACTS AND CALL RECORDER ! Yes that's a long name ! Perfect app. ! Has inbuild silent call recording too
There is no official way.
You have to flash the Indonesian MIUI ROM to get them back. To do this, you have to unlock the bootloader and it voids the warranty.
