Hi,
I would like to connect my V30+ to a hearing aid. The current android version of my phone is 9 and therefore seems that my only option of reaching this goal is by an unofficial android 10 ROM.
Is there a ROM offering this goal?

1. Posting in the android themes section isn't going to get your question answered.
Post about this in your device section or android questions and answers.
2. Use Google.
There are NO CUSTOM ROMS for your device
There are no developers active, the device has no support and cannot update due to its bad firmware that doesn't allow the bootloader to be unlocked, so it cannot even run a custom ROM.....
3. Did you not check the android version before purchasing? Thats just stupid.
This device is from 2016........no one should be buying 2016 hardware or a device with an android version which is over 4 years old in 2018.
For less than half the price you paid for that cool pad you could have got a Nokia 2.1 or Nokia 1 both are running android 8.1 or can install a project treble android P GSI - both those devices are project treble compatible!
Here's some interesting information....
Your purchase cannot be justified from the device specs, the current budget Nokia range use android GO and have been proven to perform much better and faster with much less powerful CPUs and far less ram that a more expensive multi core CPU device with 2 to 6 GB ......
These devices perform 15% faster and only use a small portion of on device storage.
As for your cool pad, You are stuck on lollipop I'm afraid.
Look at the price comparison of the cool pad A8 and the Nokia 1 with android 8.1 Go.
If you want the "latest" android version you always need to buy a device that has it, not buy a far more expensive one that has an android version that will no longer be supported in the next few months.
FYI - Google are going to make android 6.0 marshmallow a minimum requirement to run their apps early next year, and then are going to make android 7.0 nougat a minimum requirement to run their apps by the fall of 2019.
Hello,
I have a LG K8 with android 6.0.1 (Verizon prepaid) and a RCA Voyager III with android 7.1.2 that I want to update to newer android versions since there are no more factory updates. If the tablet screws up I don't really care, but I need to be able to use my activated phone. Is there a way to manually update the android version without messing them up?
Thanks

Hello,
You can Follow the LG K8 Developments Page on this forum https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-k8/development
Although there are no Custom ROMs listed on the development page, you can search the Internet for the same. The page had MIUI ROM for the devices, but the link was removed due to Thread Owner posting PPC links. :crying:
I have a LG G3 VS985. At first I wanted to just enable the wifi hotspot feature. Now I am starting to see apps that won't work with with my Android 6 Marshmallow. Is it possible for a novice to upgrade the OS version? If so, could you point me to the post/instructions?
I take it the phone is so old no one does anything with these anymore?
Hello,
I would like to find out if its possible to modify the firmware of a smart phone in one of two ways: 1) changing a phone's identify essentially fooling it into thinking is a superior model, for example, making a Huawei P20 Lite think its the pro version OR 2) forcibly upgrading the current android software to a newer version, in my case, from Android 9.0 / EMUI 9.1 to Android 10 / EMUI 10. I've tried to do research and find sources to assist me but I haven't found anything.
My reasoning for option one is that I would be able to download the official EMUI upgrade a lot sooner and I imagine it would be the safer option. However, if that fails, I guess option two would omit the in-between hassles and upgrade it directly to the newer EMUI / Android version.
I am extremely eager to get the universal dark mode on my phone and unfortunately, these third party dark themes just aren't working for me.
Any assistance is greatly appreciated

Just an observation I made when installing custom ROMs on my V30 is that anything Android 10 seems to break Android Auto. Seems to work fine on most Android 9 custom ROMs and Stock ROMs, but appears to be broken as of 10. I was wondering if there is anyway to fix it? (I'm talking about the USB tether to car radio). Willing to help in anyway possible!
Which 10 ROM you used and which you preferred? Did you try wireless Android Auto?
I have used Lineage OS 17.1 and Havoc OS 3.2 - I prefer HavocOS. The phone recognises the headunit however nothing appears on the screen. My headunit doesn't support wireless AA.
