1. If you are on OSS Rom then you have to flash MIUI 12.0.1.0 QJCIDXM before flashing this rom as it is NON-OSS Rom.
2. Download the rom and MindTheGapps if you are going to flash Vanilla build.
3. Boot into custom recovery and wipe data, dalvik , cache.
4. Flash the rom and gapps(only with vanilla rom).
5. Format data.
6. Reboot and press the power button as soon as you see the logo of rom to force reboot (first boot is a bootloop)

An AOSP rom with customizations, can't tell that it better than miui or not. If you get bored with miui you can try it.
Is this now an OSS build?

The ROM is great, I'm using it from a day. There's just one thing which bothers me: how can I disable the on-screen navigation and use just the fingerprint sensor for navigation? Also, is there a way to hide the battery icon from status bar?
So this the first stable android 10 for sanders. Which features are missing from havoc os 2.9 pie???

Thanks for the image - fast and smooth after install! Moto features are supported - light by shake, fingerprint-touch gestures (left, right, one click but with no haptic feedback). Magisk 20.1 with the prior fix works fine with GooglePay. GAPPS with and w/o Wizard work fine. Restore from Google backup works also fine.
One big minus for me - encryption doesn't work - I use combined storage with the microSD and just the clean phone (without any GAPPs) enters the continuous boot process after the 'encrypt' button is pressed (I just see Havoc logo and that's the end).

Can we hide navigation bar ?
Some times SIM card slot does not working ( says no SIM card inserted (like) ) but when restarted the network came back again ( work some times ) previously this problem doesn't exist.
And also my proximity seems to always giving yes (true or any kind of that sort) to my phone . this was after I switched from stock

Use app called "Fluid NG"(below is the link) .. U'll get that feature.. And you'll get gesture navigations too.. Like MiUi

And in regards to the twrp comment, if you think the advice from captainthrowback of the twrp team means nothing, go tell him that yourself. Don't shoot the messenger who was given advice. If you did your research, ppl agree backing up system as an img is more efficient than a tar file backup.

This is a brilliant rom and hats off for @mernurisha for making this ROM...I asked for device trees because I am trying to make it for j5 2016 since from last month and I have compiled it more than 30 times(every time with modifications) but always got bootloop sometimes my phone goes to downgrade mode..I have compiled havoc pie and other Q ROMs for j5 2016 but I love havoc that's why I asked so that I might get help from j5nlte device trees...

Brightness problem
Love the vanila version, thank you good sir. However, Adaptive brightness seems to be working, but the lowest level is way higher than MIUI, which make using the phone at night very inconvenient. Is there a fix for this?

It's from November because that time only the kernel source by Xiaomi was released and it's the stock kernel itself that's shipped with ROM. You can always use any custom kernel if you wish so.

Snap camera is the camera shipped.
been using for 3 days battery is good, performance is really great, no stuttering. It looks like a combination of pixel launcher and arrowOS but with more customization especially the launcher is very good, with shortcuts for app uninstall in the drawer. only encountered 2 problems, one is when clicking the settings icon in the quick setting will sometimes lead to lockscreen(also encountered this in arrowOS) and the other problem is NGCAM with taalrovi xml crashes when taking a video(was working in stock and other custom roms) other gcam works tho
my only request is more feature for gaming mode like require double swipe to activate gesture navigation to disable accidental swipe(like with the xiaomi gamebooster)
