Hi there, I have problem with ADB debugging over USB on my Samsung A50. It worked fine with stock ROM and the same cable. E.g. I've pushed UltimateR ROM itself using this cable with `adb push`, so I'm pretty certain that the issue occurred only after flashing UltimateR ROM and the cable is also fine.
Plain file transfer works fine with developer options switched OFF — I connect the phone with USB cable to my linux laptop, I see notification with USB settings, I select "files transfer", after this I open file browser and can navigate to phone memory.
It doesn't work with developer options and USB debugging switched ON — I plug that USB cable in and this time I don't see any notification with settings, but just notification "cable charging". `adb devices` emits empty output. I also don't see phone memory mounted in file browser.
I'm pretty sure that ADB debugging is common necessity for people using custom ROMs, so this issue is either something really rare OR something what has well-known workaround. I scanned similar issues at Stack Overflow and solutions there didn't help me, however I could miss something for sure.

I'm looking for a ROM for my tab that will enable my Sim Card and a stable wifi again, even the camera is working now.
Tried the marshmallow and nougat custom roms but I can't trade those stuff for now.

they are specified in the post, I used the same as yours and it works perfectly, but nothing special in the rom it's a fully rooted stock rom with some bugs and that's all.

The OS not installed is the same issue myself and others were having with the other Oreo beta 2 ROM thread.
Try flashing the ROM, reboot into recovery again, and flash the ROM again straight away.

bros please check out V2 download link! all these issues should hopefully be fixed! if they still arent fixed i will remake the rom fully and edit the way the tweaks were added
i pushed a update to solve system.img not flashing good
for anyone continuing to have the no os issues please try the fix i provided in my reserved posts again. thanks for reading guys. if my rom still doesnt work i will remake it for you guys

Here is the patch to enable Dex for any S8/S8+ kernel.
You can send this file to other developers to integrate it in their kernels/roms!

Vendor works pretty fine on SM-A505FN
I found some bugs: there's only 3 cameras available in GSI's (I'm using Nusantra for Android 11) where in stock vendor it finds all cameras
( My Device: sm-a505fn )
Tested with: Open Camera , Camera2 Test
I also can't install latest camary and other versions (also tried 20.05!) of Magisk in Gsi's . It patches the boot images but Magisk says "Installed N/A" I tried it to patch again and there it says " Found Magisk patched boot image" (I extracted the bootimg from the zip)
Do I have to perform reboot-recovery processes every time I restart my device? root constantly unloads automatically?? .. its tiring

I had the same Problem with systemless root: you habe to shut down your phone and then Start the phone
Otherwise it will remove the root and restore the Boot image
You should better use something like phh's superuser (sadly only works with phh gsi's ) i dont know why this is so but this works
( I dont know if non system-less root would solve the Problem )

Its because of recovery and issue will be there until I compile recovery with my kernel, you have to wait for few days.

Just use the correct AOSP version and you should be set..
Mint kernel works for AOSP based roms (like this one) if you flash the correct aosp A12 version

You need to delete everything this roms needs, read the instructions in the post
You need to Wipe system, dalvik, cache, vendor and data

Without Twrp you wont be able to flash your phone with a custom Rom..
TWRP (Or another custom Recovery) Is Obligatory to flash customs Roms
