Hello guys I have strange problem with AR Lens, it is rotated 90 degrees. Before it wasn't like that. I tried to clean camera data and cache but no effect.
So I fixed it after removing the arserver updates. After that the app disappeared but the Qmojis are back to normal.
What did you clear to fix?
I don't have arserver.....I have arEngineserver.... But don't have option to uninstall updates.
Can you explain steps taken etc.
TIA

My z5 compact rotates portrait pictures to landscape mode when posting then to Facebook, Instagram or Layout. Sharing them from Galleri or directly in the app makes no difference. Rotating a picture in Facebook, and when saved or/and accepted change it reverts back to landscape mode again. Shooting 20 mpx 16.9 in Auto. Tried turning Auto rotate on and off in settings, no change. Running stock. 152. Anyone else with this issue? Feels like a Sony bug as it happens in different apps...
Edit. With Gallery I meant Album app. Have Google Photo syncing my pics and the wrong rotation appears there to, but if I share pictures from Google Photo to Facebook corrections there works. Turning off the sync in Google Photo has no impact on the problem sharing from Album or directly in Facebook....
I have this problem too
Anybody else having that problem?
Yeah, having the same issue, but not every single picture taken exhibits the wrong orientation.
I did notice though that even though the UI elements in the camera rotate properly to portrait, the APP itself is in landscape. You can tell from the way the nav buttons are turned sideways when you swipe up from the bottom.
I've cleared the cache but it hasn't fixed it.
Turning on Auto-Rotate doesn't change anything either.
If any of you have a Sony Forum account, it's probably worth reporting.

Same issue here. Another not so wonderful thing about this camera.
Hello, today I've flashed Tizen nougat rom, everything is alright, except the camera. Main camera feels slow, when I turn on the wide angle camera, the app crashes. If I try to turn on front camera it changes to wide angle camera, but is showing white noise-like effects. Any help fixing this?
Same here.
Have you done factory reset? Mine's no problem.
same problem. how to fix it?
help me, pls.
I noticed today when I went to send a snapchat the camera was blurry won't focus so swapped to the normal camera app thinking it was snapchat that was acting up but it was still the same. It will beep and the green ring will show when tapped but still won't focus.
Any ideas thanks
The lens could be dirty, or you can clear data from camera app and see what happens.
I run into the same problem on my hTC Desire 825. Suddenly, since yesterday the camera did not focus. I did not drop the mobile on the floor and did not expose it to blows!
I cleaned the lens, deleted the cache and the data from the camera app and it still doesn't focus. I don't know what else to try. Any ideas? Thank you.
I have a little problem with Redmi Note 9 Pro that my dad have.
For some unknown reason stock camera app started acting weirdly. For example after taking photo it freezes for a moment and then crashes but the photo is properly saved and you can open it in the gallery app.
What is more you cannot switch to macro or wide lens cause that makes app to freeze.
I tried to wipe app data from application settings menu and I updated the phone to MIUI 12 hoping that this would solve the problem.
Unfortunately nothing changed.
Does anyone know a way to reinstall this application hopefully without rooting or unlocking phone?
Thanks
Something I found in my armor x5 is the camera does what you state when screen rotation is active. Try disabling screen rotation, this SHOULD fix the prob.

I tried this solution and sadly it doesn't help.
I have started experiencing this issue with my galaxy s9+.
The camera no longer capture those impressive shots which it used to capture last month or until few weeks ago.
Now the photos are blur and focus is very bad.
Anyone facing similar issue.
Can anyone help me fix it?
My camera is capturing photos, the shots which it used take were very impressive and now the quality has become very bad all of sudden.
Please see the 1st photo in white t-shirt. It is few weeks ago.
The second photo in black t-shirt is captured now. It is very blur. No matter how many times I try or change location or light condition. Photos are very blur and focus is very bad.
FYI... I reset the camera settings and clean the partition cache several times.
Thanks for your help.

To see if it's the hardware or the software, I would suggest you try the same photo setup with a DIFFERENT camera application to see if the problem is in all the camera apps or in just the one you're using.
Each camera app will have its own set of settings which may help you debug, e.g., the GCam port has these settings screenshotted below which can help you debug such as "dirty lens warning" and resolution setup.
But the SIMPLEST camera app to test might be this FOSS camera app from Mark Harmon. If that doesn't work, nothing will.
There is also the free "camera2api" probe utility program which may provide hardware malfunction indicators.
