If you don't want to wait 180 days to get your phone network unlocked file a complaint with FCC. I've had my OnePlus Nord N10 5g for less than a month and it is supposed to be unlocked Monday or Tuesday.
How did you go about doing this?

I contacted the fcc got a reply email did metro contact you like the fcc said they should what was your process
I went to the FCC website and filed a complaint against Metro and was called by Metro. The woman I spoke with submitted a request for network unlock which happened 2 days later. I still cant unlock bootloader though.
I unlocked mine with a third party company. Still working on getting the bootloader unlocked as well
Anyone know how to unlock oneplus n10 5g T-Mobile by commands? I saw a post here explained but I tried and doesn't works.
I'm wondering what would happen if I filed a BBB report against TMobile for discriminatory practices involving the right to repair and maintain. The option is there, the metro Nord N10 has a functioning DSU launcher.

I saw multiple people recommending to try that, but it only helps for bootloader unlocking, not network/sim unlocking right?
here's the request unlock site https://www.oneplus.com/unlock_token you need to follow instructions get code for request ive only had the T models like 8t they use msm to network unlock free dont know about nord
does the fcc website still work?
use this oem unlock will be able to be toggled after without network unlock
adb shell pm disable-user com.qualcomm.qti.uim

I brought this phone over craigslist.
I put my friends T-mobile sim for few days to see if phone gets recognized, so that i can ask t-mobile to unlock it. But seem like T-mobile will unlock only when the account from which it was bought asks for it.
Sorry man you may be screwed, craigslist buys never seem to go well when it comes to carrier unlocking.

will Flash Stock unlock my device?
Only way it'll unlock is if the ESN is clear on TMOBILE site http://www.t-mobile.com/verifyimei.aspx
If it is CLEAR then thats when you can buy your code from the only site that sells legit codes. https://www.unlockbase.com/phone-unlocking-service/tmobile-device-unlock-app-official-unlock/
IF you want to do it free, you can call tmo and ask them for a code, etc etc

I bought my phone online, and this is what you do.
MAKE SURE THE PHONE ISNT ROOTED!!!
1) Flash back to stock (because stock has the TMobile Unlock app)
2) Call TMobile and tell them the phone is fully paid off and that you spoke to someone at tech support already and they said you could unlock it.
3) They will ask you if you have an account I said no, and then they will ask you for the IMEI and if you want a permanently unlock it (say yes) and they will give you the go ahead to unlock it through the app. (probably ask for your email and such to send you instructions on how to use the app)
4) The app is pretty straight forward but if you need help the steps are in the email.

Unfortunately that's a "strict" requirement. I would call back tell them you're going back to your country and if they don't bite escalate to a supervisor.

There are already 3 threads like this. We do not need a 4th. This is the solution here, which I have given. You must first meet the criteria that T-Mobile sets for us, and no you do not need to be the original owner nor do you need to be stock. I was rooted at the time. Stop wasting time on other unlock sites. The link below gives you the thread and solution.
Good luck

Sorry if this is the wrong section, but it may be helpful for those with this version of the phone to see this ASAP. As of yesterday, 7/19/2016, Motorola stopped giving out unlock keys for the Amazon Prime "with ads" edition of the Moto G4. Though they for a short time advised on their website to contact customer support at Amazon for a unlock key, Amazon does not provide this service and Motorola's support page now reflects this. If you obtained an unlock key prior to yesterday, it will obviously still work, so please keep it safe somewhere.
It is CONFIRMED however that the "Standard Non-Ad" edition sold on Amazon is the retail version which can be bootloader unlocked! So if you can, buy that one instead.
oh snap, and I was about to buy one
Unnecessary i waited all these days. Finally i got time today to unlock bootloader, and its not working What should I do? return it and buy non-ad version?
Maybe.......

Definatley a huge bummer that it was possible and then they closed it. Maybe someone could reverse engineer the API they use for sending Data and such on the moto site, and then force it to generate a unlock key. Or maybe I'm just a very, very hopeful thinker

There is currently (or at least was yesterday) and Instant $50 rebate on the Standard editions on Amazon, making them the same price as the ad versions. I've talked to their Prime phone department (because apparently that exists...) and they seem to insist that the Standard version is a factory Motorola phone, which should in theory be unlockable. So if you can still return yours, you should probably do so if bootloader unlock/rooting is important to you.

I also unlocked mine yesterday when I received it. Make sure you have the unlock key in the exact format that it describes on the official unlock page.
It doesn't tell you if it is in the wrong format. You can type anything in the text box and it will say not eligible. So make sure you have it right. It took me a few tries.

Sim lock has nothing to do with the firmware
if you flash the unlocked firmware on the t mobile device, the actually t mobile unlock app will not be on the phone. however the phone will still be sim locked to t mobile. If you plan on unlocking it soon, stay on the t mobile firmware so you have the access to the unlock app in the t mobile folder. after you unlock it through t mobile, restart the phone and the app will go away. I'm not sure if you can unlock the phone under the unlocked firmware without that mobile unlock app.

Part of me feels like that would be too easy of a solution. Not to mention I finally got mine unlocked via the app but through all the trials and tribulations with TMobile they did the traditional unlock code request. The email came back looking like others I have seen in the past except where it said "Unlock Code" it said to use the Unlock App on the device..
We are are still left with needing a code from TMobile.
So im in a similar situation. I've got a Tmobile Note 8 which i'm using on ATT. I got a tmobile sim from a friend and had tmobile temporarily unlock it for 30 days. I hope by flashing this firmware (https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-8/how-to/guide-sm-n950u-u1-t3685884) for ATT, i can get it permanently unlocked.
OR
If the Device Unlock app is frozen or unisntalled (via root), i wonder if it can still relock the phone.?
Did anyone figure out a solution to this problem (bought T mobile Note 8 on eBay and cannot unlock it!). Worst case, can I open a new T Mobile account for $70 per month and then cancel it after 40 days and THEN unlock the phone?

Where did you buy the phone? I got my s9+ from Samsungs website. (Over 50% off through my employer). Took about a week before it would allow me to process an unlock. But submitted it on a Friday and got the code Monday and is unlocked.

If you did not pay in full, and You are ATT next installments the phone can not be unlocked. And doing so from a 3rd party might actually get you into trouble if ATT found out. If I remember right that unlocking a locked phone on Installment is against the law now.

The ones bought from Samsung for whatever reason initially caused the fraud issue, or saying it was not an ATT phone. It must of been be cause it was so new the system wasn't ready for them to be unlocked. So far I have 1 s9+ unlocked for other carriers use. And put in 2 more request for ones I got for others. Will have 1 more regular s9 coming in Monday and will request it too

You are not supposed to have that happen. It even states that to be eligible you must not have a Next Installment on the phone. There are some ways around it, but in the end are against ToS and can lead to other issues. ATT probably doesn't care as long as the phones are paid off.
So I bought the codes to unlock my phone, but I only get the option to enter one code when I put in a different SIM card, it says "code successful" and absolutely nothing changes.
I flashed back T-Mobile stock 20s and can't seem to find the hidden menu to type in unlock codes. "Dr. Sim" told me to type in 2945#*Your model number# at the dialer screen and that gets me nowhere.
Is this something I can access from shortcut master?
Edit: So I'm not sure where to go with this. When I type in the code, it checks it and says "unlock successful" and then promptly does not use my new SIM card. This code was called the "Network lock" code." I have received a second code for "service provider lock" but I find nowhere to put this code. I can't access any sort of hidden menu on Lineage or Havoc, so I don't really know where to go from here. On any of the stock roms, I have simply nowhere I can put the code in, as far as I can see.
Halp?
I've read in other threads that for the t-mo phones you want to use the t-mo app (that comes with their stock os) for unlocking. Anytime I've talked to t-mo, be it phone help or at the store, they say 'use the un-lock app'.
So I've always assumed if you have a t-mo phone, you better unlock it **before** modifying it, else you'll have to go back to their software (if u can), or be stuck with t-mo from then on.
No offense to t-mo, that's what I use, and don't see myself leaving. But if u wanted to ^^^^

Sorry. In cases like this I would love to be wrong.
Whenever I'm wrong, wonderful things happen. New stuff is discovered, like WTF Oreo bootloader unlock exploit.
About a year ago... "There's no way that's real and no way LG was that stupid." I never said that out loud, but I sure thought it a couple of times until @TxanMoe proved it. I wanted more information, but I was very skeptical. And being wrong was fantastic! Now WTF is what most all the development of V30 series is based on.
I do often wonder if LG (or someone inside LG) gave it to us on purpose. An exploit like that is so hard to believe. And I thankful for it.

Thank you for that. So it was an app, not a code. Makes sense: They created an app (maybe hacked version of T-Mobile's app) that performs the unlock without querying the TMO servers.
Thanks again. This could be very useful to others.
