Hi does anyone have a touch freeze issue if a wide touch is given to the screen.
I have this issue. I play pubg mobile with 4 fingers claw setup and whenever my fingers touch a wide surface area the touch just freezes. It is really annoying. I am not sure if its a problem with my display or if it is a software issue. Does anyone else have this issue??
Just test this- In any webpage in chrome try to scroll up and down by swiping with the whole of your index finger and see if the touch freezes or not.
Please check it and give an answer. I want to know whether its an issue with my device or a software issue.

im trying to find out if this problem is software or hardware related. it seems the issue only appeared at wm6.1 and wm6.5.. it works fine in android, and works fine when you hold your finger on the screen while you slide the phone open.
does anyone else have this problem with wm6.1/6.5?
No problems using the touch screen with my Touch Dual, 20 key, with the slider open or closed.
weird
maybe it is hardware then
I'm having issues with the touchscreen sensitivity. I think someone already reported it here, but they weren't very clear.
Basically some very specific points of the screen don't respond. I noticed it initially when I had to tap multiple times to launch the app launcher and when the letter "L" on the keyboard didn't respond consistently. When I did some testing, I couldn't get the ripple response when I tapped that certain area. I also did the touch diagnostic and although the squares all turn green if I just run my finger over the boxes, as expected, if I just tap the specific areas I'm talking about, the squares don't change color. Now, these touch "dead spots" are very specific areas of the screen; it's not an entire side of the screen or anything.
So in short some points on the screen do not respond to touch at all. I don't know if the spots are consistent or not. Seems like the dead spots move around...but I'm not sure. I don't know if it's a common problem or not. Send to HP to fix??? sounds like a major pita....

I'm wondering if anyone else has had this issue. There seems to be a delay or intermittent failure to detect a swipe to scroll.
For example, let's say I want to scroll down and there is a button that I happen to start my swipe on. Sometimes the button will actually get pressed instead of the swipe getting registered. It's really annoying...
Same
I have the same issue on my cowon z2 there is a lag when swiping
I think its B&N's sloppy touch screen driver, I belive there was a group working on fixing not only the lag but also adding 5 finger touch as opposed to only two. I don't think they're working on it right now because pretty Mich everyone is working on finishing the new 3.0 kernel. But I bet work on the touchscreen driver will start up again after the kernels release.

Yep, it turns out that touches do not register until you have swiped more than 4 pixels. That explains a lot. It also probably explains why my touch pen doesn't register very well. Hopefully they can come up with a fix. It is also good to know that I'm nor crazy. B-)
Hi, recently I started facing touch screen issues.
My touch sensitive buttons aren't responding and sometimes the lower part of the touch screen is unresponsive. That is fixed with a gentle squeeze and a lock and unlock. Sometimes the touch behaves as if I'm using two fingers than one (scaling when trying to fast forward video using one finger )
Sometimes the entire touch screen goes unresponsive which is fixed with a lock and unlock. The scroll becomes dead slow too sometimes. Again the fix is the same.
I'm not sure if this is a firmware issue or hardware issue. The rest of the touch works fine.
I'm using a Gionee P6
I tried to trouble shoot using the secret star codes but unfortunately the menu is in Chinese for this device.
If someone could help before I send it in for repair which will take a long time I'd appreciate it
EDIT : I Was able to use the touch screen testing from the diagnosis hardware menu and there are no dead points. Every part of the touch screen responds. Except when I actually use them in Android
Has anyone with the pro had any intermittent scrolling issues. Occasionally I've experienced sticky scrolling where for example I'll try and scroll and whole page and it'll scroll a tiny amount and stop.
I've enabled "show touches" in developer options and it looks like the touches are registering on the screen, so it appears to be a software issue. It usually goes away immediately if I lock and unlock the phone. Not sure if it's a Huawei software issue or wider Oreo 8.0 issue?
Anyone else experiencing the same ? Any thoughts ?
Hi! Im having the same issue. Im using the mate 10 lite/honor9i/nova2i tho... I came from asus zenfone and this tiny issue is a big deal for me.. i hope it will be fixed through future updates.
