I've been using Pocophone F1 for past 1.5 year and had no issues but recently it developed a bulge on it's battery and I got it replaced by an authorized service center and few days later downgraded it to MIUI 10.3.5 and as the downgrade was finished while plugging out from USB it got dropped from a height of 1 feet with screen facing the floor nothing happened to the screen but afterwards the device started having occasional touch delay, screen freeze, unresponsiveness, screen blur and multi touch. Now it's impossible to decide is it the drop, software or something went wrong during battery replacement that triggered this. I've tried custom ROMs and kernels and upgraded to all the official stable ROMs that claimed to fix the issue nothing's helping. I've also noticed that the device is almost unusable when the climate is warm/humid. Already been to service center they want me to replace the screen without even inspecting the device so this place is my last hope if anyone have faced similar issues or have a solution regarding the issue please share your experience it will be of great help.

hi everybody!! i've a touch pro and 3 days ago i decided to flash energyrom 2.0 31909 whit the new tf3d2 interface!!really beautiful and a really fast rom!! i installed also the last version of S2U2!! this mornig, after i charged my TP for about 2 hours when i slide the bar of yhe S2U2 to unlock it, the bar still remain blinking on my screen, all program and TF3D2 interface are working..but the slide bar still remain on my screen, such a trasparent bar blinking...i've made a soft-reset, an hard-reset and then i decided to re-flash my Tp but the screen problem still remain!! that strange bar il also present in the screen during the flashing of my TP, during the boot screen...it's always present!!!!
Did you have someone a problem like this??

if i understand correctly, you have an 'overlay' of the unlock bar on all of the screens after and a slight flickering?
i also have this issue, it comes and goes and as a result htc wont fix it because when they test it, it decides not to present itself!
this is due to a dodgy lcd screen, you may notice it happens when the device gets warm
Yeah that image Retention glitch happened to me...it freaked me out too...but its seems it's when the device is warm or over used i had it off for a few hours while i was sleeping...when i turned it on the next morning it was all gone.

I just started to experience this issue about an hour ago. I left my phone charging just now plugged into my laptop.
I was running the same ROM as you, but v 32009
Problem is I left my phone on my laptop to the left of the trackpad RIGHT ABOVE THE DANG HARD DRIVE. I saw the image retention/blinking horizontal bands at the bottom the the screen, but only on the bottom half of the TF3D tabs. So I went to hard reset, and the bottom of the reset screen was doing a 60hz refresh blink. I figured the earth magnet got it, maybe its just a heat issue? Leaving GPS on by accident probably didnt help either. And it was tethered.
Im flashing back to stock, then to rre to see if the problem persist. Maybe I should just kill it for a few hours, TBattery reports 42c.
edit: left my phone off with the battery out for an hour and the issue persist. Flashing back to stock..
I decided to remove the battery for about 2 hours abd the problem magically disappear!! I don't know why, but now my screen is perfect!! thanks for the replay and sorry for my poor english...

I got 2 HTC Touch Pro in my home, one is mine and the others is my sister own, and I get this on others ROM's the original ROM from HTC and the cooked. I was looking for something about and I found a HTC Touch HD Issues about flickering the lcd, nothing was mentioned about TP...=//
And the flickering only show up on my TP, my sister TP works fine.
I notice the contrast was really higher than my sister
i came across a fix for this on the HTC site..but its for the Touch HD

so my guess, its SOFTware related
after flashing back to stock and leaving the phone off for a few hours the issue has been resolved. Been back on ENERGY ROM since and no more flickering.
This issue happens to me as well. But it seems to come and go. I don't think it's the ROM since this happened to me using the ROMeOS and currently the Energy ROM. Definitely hardware issues. Sometimes this happens when I keep on switching from portrait to landscape mode. It goes away after a while though so it doesn't bother me that much. I just shake my head whenever this happens and say "f***ing phone".

I've just emailed HTC about this too. Clearly there's some issue in the touch hardware or software which is causing this. It's pretty annoying that they have fixed this on the current model but are forgetting their older customers (I say old, I've not even had this thing 8 months!)

I recently replaced my lcd ips screen on my Canvas HD after it developed some nasty cracks. As the cost of replacing the screen in an authorized service center in bangalore is quoted at around 6k, i thought of getting it replaced elsewhere. The guy claimed to have used an original screen, by the way. It came to 1.5k or so. However, I am now facing an issue with the screen at least once a day. The screen doesn't seem to be as accurately responsive to my touch as before, making things like messaging extremely annoying. Also, the screen goes crazy. At times, the notif bar with slide up and down involuntarily. Or, an application will close on its own even without pressing the home button.
I suspect it is a calibration issue. I tried looking up some applications to calibrate the touchscreen as the ROM I am using does not seem to have one. Also, I tried reinstalling the ROM. But, no change. Please help me.

For last 7-8 days, TouchScreen of my Micromax Canvas HD A116i is facing Ghost Touch problem i.e. while i was playing games, check emails or just holding the phone, it got touch impression all over the screen randomly.
But yesterday i found that my phone's screen and navigation keys(home, back etc) now freezes after 5 seconds of phone unlock. I left the phone to sunlight for hours to get rid of any possible moisture but no use. The problem still persisting. I think its a digitizer problem. Company's service Center is asking Rs 1800 for repair without giving any info about the problem. I think its too much and perhaps i may fix at my own. Guys please help ASAP. I know there are lot of veterans who can understand and resolve my issue.
Any help or advice is appreciable. Thanks in advance.
I have a Redmi 5 phone. I had Global Stable ROM than switched to EU Beta. Currently on 8.7.19. I had a problem on both ROM. Randomly my phone slowdowns. Or at least the screen I don't know exactly. I have to press the screen harder and the response can take 1-2 seconds. Locking and unlocking the phone solves it. What can I do to solve this problem?

OK! I'm pretty sure now it's a hardware issue! Flashed TWRP recovery which also had screen freeze problems!!!!!
Than flashed an old firmware 9.2 something and flashed LineageOS over it. Guess what? SCREEN FREEZE!!! It can only mean one thing: it's a hardware issue. It's also explains why they ignore it: because they don't want to admit it! And because this much people has this problem we can say Redmi 5 is a FAILED PRODUCT. Xiaomi should call back this devices and give back my money immediately. But I think we are just ****. They will not care about it. Maybe only the service center can do something about it but it's a long and unnecessarily procedure. I think best option is to sell the phone and NEVER buy Xiaomi again and to stop recommend to anyone to buy it.

Hi! I have this exact same problem but I ruled out a hardware issue because every time there was slow to none response, if I turned the screen off and on again, it would fix it. I've been looking for a solution and after trying many, many things I've discovered the problem was that I was using the Full Screen option offered by MI, i.e. the option to remove the three main buttons at the bottom of the screen (Back, Home and running apps) and to control the phone with gestures. After going back to the classic three button style, I restarted the phone just in case and I haven't had any more response issues in two days, I think it was a success!!
I also faced this problem for months, specially, after I changed my display as I accidentally dropped my phone a few months ago. Sometimes the screen seems to freeze temporarily, but then -
- turning off and again turning on screen
- swiping the screen (bottom-top) with a little pressure for 1-2 seconds
- slightly bending the device
Any of this three work for me.
What I think:
It's a hardware (display) issue. My newly changed display creates this. But I am quite sure, when my device bends slightly this problem occurs.
Hi, I bought the Poco in January 2019 but it was December batch and it worked great until now , now I see stuck pixels on screen in weird spots like in near the notch and on left of the screen, they are basically a small line of pixel shining. Also there touch freezing or screen freezing , which I have to lock and unlock the phone to get it working. It happens very often and in pubg also and rarely the device freeze and I had to force reboot to get it working. Is it a hardware problem keep in mind I tried custom ROMs and kernels but it didn't fix anything. Also the battery isn't passing 5hrs sot. Please help.

If you already tried other ROMs and kernels then it is most likely a hardware problem. So, I advise you to go to the nearest service center to check the phone's screen and replace it if needed.

What about battery life?
If hardware problem, it can cause anything like battery drain

Just scrolling through and saw this. Did you eventually fix your problem. There have been many updates since you posted.
First way to solve the problem is use a custom kernel with the touchscreen fix. I suggestion Optimus Drunk Kernel.
My ROM of choice is really nice. It's the Evolution-X ROM and with the ODK, it runs really well. Regardless what custom ROM you have, try the ODK with the touchscreen drivers.
