Hi
Here's how you can determine if you have gotten a fake magsafe charger or a real one. This can help you to be able to return it just in time.
1) Place phone on magsafe charger
2) Go into Settings - General - About . A new option called Apple MagSafe Charger should appear. If option is there then charger is genuine.
3) (Optional) you can further look for charger serial number from this special menu and check it with apple.
Enjoy

Hello,
I'm looking for that part of original charger ... the USB plug which gets inserted (slided) into actual wall charger.
Do you know where I can find it ?
I know this isn't exactly what you were after mate but wondered if you had been on this website, there might be something here that would suit?

There are tons of non-OEM chargers for HD and HD2, but I was looking for something like this one (only for US)

Hi,
I'm looking for the pin assignment for the battery of my Star Trek. The connector at the cabinet broke and I would like to try charging the battery with an external loader, but I have no idea, which of the 4 pins i could use for charging.

http://www.amazon.com/Smart-Adapter-Compatible-Samsung-Galaxy/dp/B004YX4HDU "Smart Adapter Compatible with Samsung Galaxy S - USB / USB Adapter" promises to solve the charger problems. I presume the plug has a short in it. Anyone tried it? (made by Satechi whatever that means)

Just thought I'd let you know I found a cheap supplier of those 'Dragon's Den' Spider Podium mounts, if you're not familiar with these things you can use them as a desk mount or for me a in-vent car holder (which it does very, very well):
