Google Camera Port
Stable versions and configs for the OnePlus 9R.
A discussion thread for GCam mods compatible with the OnePlus 9R. Let's use it to find stable versions for this device.
Features:
- HDR+ Enhanced, Night Mode, Astrophotography, Portrait Mode, Timelapse, Motion Photos, Lens Blur, Panorama, Photo Sphere, Photobooth, Motion tracking.
- Video, Timelapse, Slow motion.
- Support for extra cameras (the ones allowed by OnePlus...).
- AR Playground/Stickers (follow this guide).
Bugs:
- Video quality is better on the stock camera, specially video stabilisation and slow motion.
- Due to OnePlus' decision to restrict access of 3rd party apps to the extra cameras on Android 11, you'll need to use specific "package names" (eg: use the links on this thread). Some cameras may still not be available even with the right apk due to there restrictions.
How to:
1. Download APK (pick the first one if in doubt).
2. Download config file (often not required, but may help with quality).
3. Install APK file.
4. Load config file.
A short video tutorial is available for new users.
Downloads:
- = Recommended version.
- To avoid issues when viewing media from inside GCam, install the Google Photos app (can be used without uploads/Google Account).
GCam 8 (Android 10+):
- BSG: MGC_8.1.101_A9_GV1zfix (BSG, 2022-02-09, configs)
- Wichaya: GCam_8.1.101_Wichaya_V1.4 (2021-08-03, configs)
- Urnyx05: PXv8.1_GCam-v1.2.apk (2021-01-25)
I'll try to keep this post updated with info from the telegram group, but please, leave feedback.
Thanks:
To devs like Arnova8G2, BSG, Urnyx05, defcomg, and many other modders and testers that have contributed over the years.
[Old APKs archive]
- Wichaya: GCam_8.1.101_Wichaya_V1.3 (2021-07-13, configs)
- Wichaya: GCam_8.1.101_Wichaya_V1.2 (2021-07-01, configs)
Good!
Some configs for BSG's 8.1 that you may want to try out (how to load configs).
(The configs folder on BSG's version should be located over at /Downloads/MGC_8.1.101_Configs/)

Try this new version of Gcam 8.1, it works well in my 9R.
BSG: MGC_8.1.101_A9_GV1zfix
Download MGC_8.1.101_A9_GV1zfix by BSG.

A warning for GCam users:
Access to the auxiliary cameras (macro, telephoto, wide, etc) is blocked on OxygenOS 12 (Android 12).
Do not upgrade to OOS 12 if you need GCam (or any other camera app) to work on these cameras.
Everything should work fine with custom ROMs.
Hi. Been a while since I dipped my toes in these forums.
Couple questions, feel like a noob again.
1. What exactly is 1.1x?
2. Is it normal for 1.1x to not work on BSG's 8.1? Tried default and a custom config. Same results. Black viewfinder for 5 secs and then the app exits itself (not a force quit I think).

To answer my own question, should anyone be feeling as derpy as myself.
1.1x is macro mode and the 9R doesn't have a macro sensor. Ergo, it won't work.
For people using BSG's GCam 8, please update to the latest version (read why here):
- MGC_8.1.101_A9_GV1zfix (BSG, 2022-02-09, configs)
Other versions (GCam 8.3 and 8.4) are available on his download page.
Is there a gcam that supports 48mp camera on the oneplus 9r.

Sadly not, OnePlus restricts access to the full resolution.
Ok these are good but there is a systematic way to find the best GCam for the 9R here, download the version which is the latest and try out some new as well listed there they work best it also tried and using. https://www.mobmet.com/googlecamera/google-camera-for-oneplus-9r-gcam-port-apk/
Is wide angle lens working with correction?
Made for LMC8.4_R16, supports all Oneplus 8 Series and OnePlus 9R. XML Version (V10)
Modes: Leica - Vignette effect.
LDR - Low dynamic range.
PRO - For more saturated photos.
B&W: For Black & White photos.
Macro: For macro photography.
Main: Main Camera.
UW: Wide Camera.
Cool: For pics with a cooler tone.
Based on my previous configuration.
- Updated Noise Model for rear, macro and front.
- Enabled auto night sight
- Changed the color correction preset for the front camera.
Recommendations:
- Use Pro for if you want more saturated images.
- If you prefer a cooler tone to your pics, or pics turn out too warm under certain lighting conditions / artificial lighting, use the cool option.
Notes: - The viewfinder is customizable on LMC. You can disable all extra features in settings if you prefer a cleaner look.

Google Camera Mod v5.1.018
Based on the latest GCam Mod by @Arnova8G2. My mod aims to provide a nice and clean user friendly UI and some improvements for OnePlus 3/3T. Some settings for the features not yet compatible have been hidden for now to avoid crashes.

* Video (30fps, 60fps, Video Stabilization, Autofocus, etc.)
* Panorama
* Photo Sphere
* Lens Blur
* Portrait Mode
* RAW
* ZSL (Only on Pixel Configuration)
* Burst Mode (Only on Pixel Configuration)
* Motion Photos (Android 8+)
* AR Stickers (Android 8+)
* Slow Motion (Only on Nougat)
What's Not Working
* Slow-Motion (Android 8+)
Enable AR Stickers:
Install the following APKs:
ARCore: https://goo.gl/o4dDj5
AR Stickers: https://goo.gl/zDVNH4
FAQ:
Q: Why is the app not installing?
A: You need to uninstall other Google Camera Apps to install it.
Q: Front Cam isn't working on OnePlus3.
A: You need to set front camera resolution to 8.0 Megapixels.
Q: Front Cam HDR+ pics are 4 Megapixels.
A: You need to flash the modified libs to make it full resolution.
Q: Why is the app crashing on Oreo?
A: Android Oreo requires Google Services Framework to be installed for the app to work.
Q: How do I fix the crash?
A: To use the Gcam app on Oreo you need to either install any GApps or install this flashable zip: https://goo.gl/D9Z51D
Q: Portrait Mode doesn't work on objects.
A: It only works on human subjects. For objects you can use Lens Blur.
Q: How to make Motion Photos work?
A: To use motion photos you should use HDR+ On instead of HDR+ Enhanced. Motion photos can be viewed only in Google Photos.
Q: How can I use ZSL?
A: To use ZSL you should use HDR+ On instead of HDR+ Enhanced.
Q: I'm not able to see a preview for the image while it's being processed.
A: You need to disable camera.use_photos in debugging and tools.
Q: Slow motion is not working for me.
A: Slow motion is not yet compatible with oreo. If using nougat then you can use the magisk module which replaces the media_profiles.xml to make it work.
Q: How can I use AR Stickers?
A: Follow my guide in the update channel.
Q: AR stickers doesn't detect surface.
A: Reboot the device and it will work again.

It's already mentioned in the OP. Please read it.
Can't see any difference to Arnova8G2's version. What did you optimise for OP 3/3T exactly? (saw your changelog, but don't see anything worse in Arnova8G2's apk)
I ask because Arnova8G2 allready optimise the BSG version for our device

Latest version of 3T RR is dropping frames on video. 60fps rear camera video has noticable stuttering, 30fps looks more like 15fps. Not usable yet. Is Oreo required for this?

Try using Chrome and give proper permissions if it asks for them to install the apk.
Download via Tapatalk doesn't work for me too.
There's a bunch of resolutions for pictures and I like to clean them up.
Suggestions?
Remove everything below 2592x1944 ?
Or only keep: 4608x3456, 4608x2176 and 3456x3456? (Like on OOS camera)

Settings open on back and front cam, sometimes only takes a second or two until the settings button works.
Countdown timer too, also takes pictures.
Also on OOS 5.1.5
Filters not working, confirm.
dope gonna try this out

Then I try GCam:
full sense:

but overall the result is much much better then inbox camera app.
It's another photo take with inbox camera,, default setting, the banner is "RED", not "white"

That GCAM is not good. It only offer 12mp, in order to get full benefit of the 27mp, and the best overall GCAM, you need this one

Delete data before installing. Stock camera is 2x fold worse compared to this GCAM.
1. HDR Enhnached
2. HDR Enhnahce 30 frames
3. Lib patcher - Chroma denoise 1.0, luma denoise 0.5
Do not take a picture, until the one you shot does not process completely, open the picture and check the loading phase. It is slow but its worth it.

The stock camera app (EU 11.10.12) always makes "light of any color" white at night.
For example, the blue and yellow LED string lights on the Christmas tree have all turned into "white LED"
And a new sample photo I took last night:
This photo is nothing like what I saw at all.

You need to both enable HDR Enhanced + from the main initial settings, and into the advance settings (main is the motion picture section, and advanced you set it to 30 or 45 fps, i set min to 45 fps. The pictures with this settings are stunning.

What is Google Camera (AKA GCam)?
Google Camera is the camera app for the Google Nexus and Google Pixel phones. It is not designed or intended to be run on other phones.
What is HDR+?
HDR+ is Google's proprietary image processing routine. HDR+ employs image stacking to control exposure, and also to preserve details, reduce noise, increase sharpness, etc. It is an all-in-one package.

I've installed a GCam-Port for the One Plus 8. The night-mode is a big difference compared to the stock-cam on the oppo find x2 pro.
See the attached picture. Much brighter, much more details etc.

I've used this version:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-8-pro/themes/insane-gcam-camera-port-make-op8p-t4108781
For nightmode I got much better results but not all things worked on this gcam mod.
Bug: I was trying the app, used the 360 photo function, and after that I tried to use the standard camera, pressed on 0,6 button, it closed and now the app is not starting anymore.
Wide angle and the main cameras are working on this no newest port. 5x is not saving the photos.
https://www.xda-developers.com/goog...ary-camera-support-many-devices-without-root/
I tried even the newest Wichaya v2.7.3 and the 5x zoom doesn't work. Can't shoot photos still. And on the old version it would not work with night sight.
I haven't seen a gcam version where 5x was working.
In Wichaya though, the 5x view finder works i.e. no photos or video.
Does the Find X2/Pro support raw output in the stock camera?

Yes, if you switch to Pro mode, that option is available.

Telephoto works on Arnova8G2 versions without HDR+Enhanced, he couldnt fix it yet so its normal that the other versions have it bugged also.
I love to mate Moon shooting... there is any app or setting to improve it?

What is Google Camera (AKA GCam)?
Google Camera is the camera app for the Google Nexus and Google Pixel phones. It is not designed or intended to be run on other phones.
What is HDR+?
HDR+ is Google's proprietary image processing routine. HDR+ employs image stacking to control exposure, and also to preserve details, reduce noise, increase sharpness, etc. It is an all-in-one package.

The Night Mode is very noisy. I think the Stock Night Mode from xiaomi is more accurate.

I agree. Gcam has better details in daylight. The main benefit IMO is using the 3.7x lens. It is so much more detailed in gcam, especially indoors.
And, of course, astrophotography. You can't beat that.
This appears to just be links to the two best known Gcam dev's Gcam versions rather than specific versions for the Mi 10/Pro.

Hi! one question, I installed the app en de XML..but how can I toggle all the lenses? Kind regards Tom
Depends which app you installed, after some research (actually hours of playing around) I came across some apps that have the option of adding additional lenses.
Several of the Gcam 7.4 I tried were not stable so I m using Urnyx05's 7.3.018. version 2.1.
I ve attached my config, you have to go into settings and enable the other lenses, I dont think the config enables them. (edit: it does on ports that support it, edited XML)
It might also be worth following the Note 10 Gcam thread too, as the cameras are the same, the same apps and configs should work too, although I ve not tried them yet.
Install burial beta 7
https://f.celsoazevedo.com/file/cfiles/gcm1/GCam_7.3_Burial_release_beta_7.apk
Then apply my in customized xml attached and you will be happy
Tried 4 different cameras and none are saving night sight pictures
It takes the picture, a preview shows in the bottom right, but then it just disappears
I ve had that sometimes, now I just cant view pictures via the camera, got to go to the gallery, using burial and the config 2 posts up.
It takes like 20 seconds to save night sight photos and I don't know why
Usually show up is photos app after 20 secs
Probably cos its stitching all those images together. Not that impressed with Burial tbh, lots of noise in night mode.
Does the gcam record hdr video in 10bit bt 2020 Color space at 4k 60Hz or just 8bit?
Anyone else not not able to use other cameras with ARNOVA8G2?
FAQ says to tap the screen and a tree will appear. I see no tree.
I've taken a photo of a toy cat and some printed text/pattern for comparison. I keep hearing that gcam blows the stock cam out of the water but I just don't see it. The stock photos are much warmer indoors, but I have lightroom mobile on my phone so that doesn't bother me too much. To my eyes, the stock app does a much better job at resolving fine detail and I have no idea what the gcam app is doing in the 3.7x zoom. Also the portrait mode, while probably sharper than the stock app, doesn't really do much background blurring.
For selfies, I get it. I think gcam captures more detail but I always need to touch them up because gcam seems to pump up the red channel far too much.
Here's a dropbox link to the photos.
These were all taken with Urnyx's 7.3 v2.3: GCam_7.3.018_Urnyx05-v2.3.apk and the yan1.xml config file.
EDIT:
I've found another gcam version (Burial) which gives me better results. I also tested out the Lightroom camera which I am a big fan of. There is more noise in the Lightroom photos but there's also more detail. The best example of the difference in detail is to look at the dark grey around the text. In real life it's a very fine cross hatching. The stock camera renders this as a mix of diagonal lines, hatching and smudges. Gcam does better abut renders it more as black dots to the right, pretty good in the centre but a little smudged and then diagonal lines to the left. The Lightroom camera looks more like the actual pattern, albeit with more noise and less sharpening. It does soften as you move right to left but it's the most consistent of the three.
Here's the Dropbox link.
Lightroom is also much warmer but again that can be easily dialed in. For the purposes of this I've just left everything on Auto.
Not sure which one I'll use. I might need to do some more testing.
I ve been using Burial 7.3.018 months, waaay better than stock, you can add each lens too.
