Hi,
I have an HTC One running Android 4.1.2 and I want to listen to Google Play over my Yamaha DLNA receiver.
I've already tried some apps, and BubbleUPnP promises to have this feature, but it just won't play songs from the cloud.
Is there any chance to install a system-wide service that routes all the sounds of the device to the DLNA receiver? On an iPhone that works via AirPlay, there must be something like that for Android too, right?
Thanks for any help,
Kalle

in BubbleUPNP, did you try playing a track to your Yamaha receiver after enabling Settings > Local Media Server > Use proxy ?

Yes I tried that, but it did not help.
I really don't want to be cocky, but I thought the advantage of Android was its openness, and that you could tinker with anything. And now it's not possible to stream audio to a DNLA receiver?

It is possible to stream audio but it is not possible to *capture* audio from other apps. Not unless you hack the kernel and audio drivers. Good luck with that.

Btw it would be interesting if you provided me a log file streaming Google Music to your Yamaha receiver (with proxy enabled) so I can see why it fails (see first post of this topic for instructions for logging)

Mmh, that is odd. That feature works with bluetooth, why can't it work with WLAN and DLNA? Apple has been doing this for 8 years now (AirPlay)...

You want to connect your android phone with another Android Phone, not an Android Wear Device?
With Bluetooth, is it possible but, very difficult...
Use the same google account, your pictures and videos will be shared
Hi guys I'm looking for an Android TV forum for the actual os such as Android built TVs.
Everything seems to be about Chrome cast in here.
I had a question regarding using features such as it's digital tuner apps....
Cheers

I've been looking for the same... please let me know if you find one. I have a 60 inch Sharp Android TV (LC-Ux30US) and the settings app is corrupted. I need to find a copy of the android settings app that was originally installed on this TV. It's android 5.1 build LMY47M... ANY ASSISTANCE IS APPRECIATED
This service is driving me crazy they have an offline viewing thing, but it won't let me output to a Fire stick or a basic HDMI, and there is no windows app This is a solution I have been considering to just install Android x86 on my laptop, but I just wonder if it would work, can someone verify this?
