NetHunter kernel - Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact Q&A, Help & Troubleshooti

Good day friends! Please tell me, has anyone ever implemented the Nethunter core for our device? I really want to adapt this device to the working needs.

hi, i play around with nethunter over a year ago, here https://gitlab.com/sony_scorpion/android_kernel_sony_msm8974/-/tree/lineage-17.1_kali is the kernel source. then i got a nexus 7(2013) for free and stop the work.

Good afternoon, I have installed and am using your cool mod on my Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact LoS 18.1. Can I ask you to make a nethunter core from this build? You previously wrote that you already tried and made a kernel for 17.1. I just don't have the resources(computer, memory...) ? Honestly, I'm genuinely impressed with the way you made your LoS 18.1 mod, great job!!!!!!

Does any one started porting CM to lineage OS for mi pad [MOCHA] ?

This new year bought an end to CyanogenMod era before getting an offical version for mi pad but the good news is we have Lineage OS born from the ashes of CM. Hope this OS brings a life to this beast(mi pad).
Hey guys make this forum more active like NVIDIA sheild. Hope this new year may bring more development on the Mipad because compare to last year now we have atleast kernels sources.:laugh:
Old commitless kernel sources won't fix proprietary vendor blobs problems sadly.
Highwaystar is putting a lot of effort into porting CyanogenMod 12.1 right now and its not fully functional. Porting anything newer will only get harder, plus this device isn't very popular like the shield due to its fairly poor out of box experience & availability worldwide.
Hi all,
did Highwaystar had some success with the porting?
I think the MiPad has still some fans, yet a bit disappointed that there was no effort by Xiaomi for some reason.
A stable build would be very nice!
Thanks for the hard work!
yes, we would expect to see more support from xiaomi to support mocha(MI PAD 1). atleast it should have released lolipop. otherside the same configuration NVIDIA tablet got naughat update. It is not fair game xiaomi we need updates and support for mocha.
Good news guys, yesterday highwaystar has ported cm13 to lineageOs. And i expect everyone to congratulate him for that. we did not had a good rom since decades. and now he is our hope, support him.
Yep now there's Lineage OS for mi pad

Android 8.x ROMs possible on LG G2 (i.e. LineageOS 15.x)?

Okay, so more than half a year after the release of Nougat, we still do not have a stable 7.x ROM for the G2 available, yet Google has already released developer previews for 8.x.
So, what are the chances that we're going to see 8.x on the G2?
What? That is so wrong.
CrDroid.... My G2 was never so fast and used so less battery - and CrDroid (7.1.1) with Lambda Kernel is stable.
So I don't know what you're doing wrong, but this is not true.
Also running on nougat and have no troubles??? latest LineageOS veryy fast and stable and also battery time is very good.

Correct! LineageOS works great. Hope we will get O from Lineage Team
CrDroid with lambda works great, better than stock in every way. Especially since bigboy ported the stock lg camera. Android 0 is and will be buggy for a long time, its just the first dev preview build.
we have a lot of roms Nougat good and stable so i think will we have good Android O but we will take some times
AICP 12.1 (based on Android 7.1.1) with Lambda Kernel works perfect. Stable, fast and battery friendly.
aicp much cooler than crdroid with this rom i have no wish to buy a new phone after 3 years... it works better than most midrange 2017 phones unfortunately cameras got old..
+1 that, I have a Note 5 - and I miss the performance, battery life and hold-ability of my G2. Don't be fooled by new phones people, they're way less optimised with their dual-processor configurations (8-cores), and quite often the weaker cores are less powerful than this device.

Well, first off, we already have multiple Android 7.x ROMs that are stable, I don't know what you're talking about.
Will we see 8? That depends if someone is willing to make ROMs for this phone. And I'd say yes, we will have Android O, maybe not immediately but it will come.

The Lineage OS 14.1 thread is littered with bug reports...
So how can I get the best camera quality on non stock roms? is there any way to record 60fps?

lol this just so true... I don't really need to upgrade the phone with a bunch of Android N roms for LG G2 but the camera is quite sluggish already. Thats the only part that keeps reminding me its an old phone lol
CrDroid is okay if you like plain.
go to AICP and boom , you don't really need to use all the customization
I hope people will be developing roms for this unkillable phone.
Sorry for this little OT but it has some relation with the thread... At least with LineageOS the headphones volume its so much lower than with Stock (or stock optimized) roms, do you know if this is solved in any nougat rom ? Thanks in advice and sorry again for OT.
No LineageOS 15.x (Android 8.x) for G2 it seems:

i wonder how much is it still worth when being sold as used....
i am always temped to sell. my micro sd card broke and i am waiting for a replacement but in 2017 internal space is like always completely full...
It is a good device. Maybe ASK yourself why you bought it? Why do you want aosp 7.1? In lineage 13 it is also a long lasting, fast dayly driver. If you find a better device, buy it. Lineage 14.1 will be hard, becauae no driver exist for that issue. If you take the Android 6.0 drivers good luck.

Mi Pad 4 development potential?

Hi All
Just wondering how popular the Mi Pad 4 is and will there be many ROMs in the foreseeable future?
I'm coming from Zenfone 2, Redmi Note 3 and now G5S Plus which have many ROMs to choose from.
If I am honest it looks a bit sparse but I'm OK with that if the few that are here get all the bugs worked out. Id be happy with a fully working Lineage.
I'm surprised there is not more considering the price to performance seems to be decent and the 3gb/32gb is now about $160 on gearbest.

You've got fully working MoKee ROM, it's fast and fluid too! Maybe not as well known as Lineage but hey, it's still performant AOSP and allows you to do delta updates

Has Mokee or LineageOS the widevine L1 flag?
Install this app and start it and look for the Widevine flag. For HD-content to be streamable for Netflix or Prime, it must be L1. Mostly it is only L3.. :/

Great, I actually donated for Mokee on my Redmi Note 3 it was a great ROM on that device.

Maru OS for Pocophone?

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=iF7yK7HAyVM
Any talented dev who would be interested in building Maru OS for our beloved pocophone?
It runs lineage OS and when you connect it to a screen it runs ubuntu or debian. With the Hardware of the pocophone it would be a beast.

The rom and kernel version is based on android marshamallow . Such outdated one wont encourage the developers to start the port

Wow this is awesome..... @Swapnil Soni
I would love to see Maru Os running on Poco.
Sounds interesting Would definitley try
I found out that poco doesn't support slimport. In that case if someone ports maru os to our phone, only way of connecting it to external display would be using chromecast.

Yes, that's sadly true. It's a pity that the pocophone does not have hdmi-out.

Some news about maru os. Starts at 8.30 min
Great Interview given by the main dev of maru os at the great podcast late night Linux. The interview starts at minute 24.

Still hoping that we find any talented dev who would be interested in porting for our beloved poco. Imagine you just connect your phone to google Chromecast and you have a fully fledged desktop PC up running.
@dianxxyyzz would that be a device you would be interested in helping to port?
@abhishek987 have you heard of maru OS?
Wish you all a great weekend
Yes lol , I will build for pico f1 as soon as I get it . I already thinked about it
If it's wireless and Chromecast only, that would limit the usability of the desktop part a lot. Chromecast isn't actually that popular where I live, and not easily buyable either

Sure a wired connetion seems always better in terms of lag but according to Pretam d'Souza (one of the Main dev) chromecast works fairly well. Another option might be miracast.

For all who don't dianxxyyzz is the dev who build already maru OS for the HTC 10, Samsung s9 and I belive some other devices.
I believe that you'll be quite happy with the poco f1 . it's just such a great devices.

Yes , thanks I would really like to see Poco running full Linux distro , I already watched to get one and will build soon so keep in touch . Also it must work with displaylink if it DNT have internal displayport . So DNT worry about wired display it have to be good. We already have tested this and all works great in displaylink setup
I hope this project will materialize.
I`m willing to be a tester.
Maru OS won't be interested to most devs since its still using Oreo as base. Same case with Ubuntu touch too.

Maru now supports wireless display so that should help immensely to kickstart development on pocophone. I'd be willing to do testing.
