Hi,
I have the XIAOMI MI 8 LITE phone (MIUI: 12,0,3) with original Android 10 with no hacking and no ROOT and no illegal operation.
There are 2 specific apps that when I run them and they load, they do not respond to screen clicks and the app cannot be used.
1. BIT App - (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bnhp.payments.paymentsapp)
It goes up, and I can activate almost all the functions on the main screen including transferring funds and receiving and clicking on contacts and moreā¦.
But when I click on the menu on the right side (3 vertical bars) nothing happens and the menu does not open and I can not actually reach the settings of the app.
In the past the app did respond to a click on the menu and suddenly it is no longer possible. I uninstalled and reinstalled the latest version and it did not help.
2. Twitter app - here I write a tweet and then there is a "tweet" button to send the tweet, but he does not respond to clicking on it and I can not upload the tweet
It should be noted that I have a lot of other apps installed on the phone and they all work without a problem,
so it does not seem to me that this is a hardware problem on the screen.
Only these 2 specific apps are causing issues.
What could be the problem and how to solve it?
Thanks in advance

Hello guys,
I have registered this account to ask this question, I will try my best to avoid any of the annoying pitfalls of being new.
HANDSET - Samsung GT-i9100
CARRIER - Vodafone UK
OS - Android 2.3.3 using GoLauncher Pro
This morning the notification bar showed 10 updates available, I updated them all, all of them being apps that I recognised. Following the updates I now get a recurring pop-up window asking for my Google account username and password. The window pops up in the middle of the screen with whatever I was looking at before dimmed in the background. It occurs on the lockscreen, homescreen and in any app I open. Pressing cancel just causes it to reappear, only pressing the home button makes it go away fully, however never for more than 30 seconds. I am able to stop it from appearing for a few minutes by clearing the RAM.
I tried entering false information into the form to see what happened - it now prompts me with the options to 'Reinput' or 'Cancle' (actual spelling) and appears just as frequently.
AVG has turned up nothing and Android Assistant doesn't show any strange processes.
I am completely stumped.
Thanks for taking the time to read this and in advance for any input you may be able to offer.
solved by unistalling and reinstalling GoLauncher. No idea what caused it. Cheers.

Damn. I uninstalled GoLauncher.
Usually it happens when you try to modify something on your account without stopping the sync before

It was an update to GoLauncher EX Notification - they have been having trouble making it work with the Gmail app for some time and thought they had it cracked, however people updating to the new version experienced this problem. Their poor spelling I suppose exacerbated the problem as it made it look like malware. Can't be critical though, must be an absolute nightmare to program something like this and write the UI in a second language.
Today's update reverts the changes and explains (ish) in the update log.
Hi guys,
I bought a Lenovo p2 a couple of weeks ago and have been having problems with apps (mainly whatsapp and podcast addict) being closed soon after the screen turns off. I am running android 7.0; stock firmware. Whatsapp wont push notification until I reopen the app manually. Podcast eddict sometimes stops playing a podcast when the screen is turned of manually or automatically; sometimes it resumes where I stopped listening the time before the last time and I can't rewind the podcast, so it become unplayable. I am pretty sure that these and more app are being closed aggressively, which also makes the corresponding widget unclickable. The weird thing is that I am not sure that I had these problems from the start. Maybe I had them, but didn't notice them or they have become more pronounced somehow.
Things I tried but didn't help:
- reset all the permissions for all the apps (I remember denying a lot of them when I first installed them and thought that the apps might not be working properly because of that)
- changed whatsapp and podcast addict to "not optimized" in the battery optimization menu
- I went through all the settings of the phone and of the corresponding apps, but didn't find a solution or an setting I accidentally changed
- I tried to get into the advanced settings menu by longpressing the gear button on the dropdown menu. I read that the gear should start spinning, but mine didn't
- I locked whatsapp and podcast addict in the multitask window, by clicking on the lock icon
Any help is much appreciated and let me know if I left out anything that you guys need to know.
Not sure when this started as I rarely go into an apps settings outside of the app itself. What I noticed is when I go into Android Settings then Apps then pick any app from the list, as soon as I select an app it moves to that apps screen and automatically pops up with a force close message about stopping the app even though I didn't press anything. I'll try to post some screen shots later. The worst part is it gets caught in a repetitive loop no matter what you press. The only way out is via the home screen button or the app switcher. Nothing else is malfunctioning but I cannot find a way to make it stop.

Thanks in advance for any assistance!

After a few months of off-and-on trying to figure out how to solve this bug and see what caused it, I finally post here and within an hour I figure it out. It turns out the issue has to do with the app: Android Assistant when under Accessibility the App's permission is set to ON under installed Services. I've emailed the app developer to point out that bug.
Hi, everyone!
I'm using a Huawei P30 and recently got a sprinkler controller as a present. Later I found articles and reviews that said this device is compatible with Alexa, Apple HomeKit, iOS, Android, etc. So I downloaded this Rachio app. For some reason, this app and some others stopped responding. I tried to restart my phone and reinstall these apps, but it doesn't help. Maybe someone had the same or similar problem and already found a solution?
Thanks in advance!

Nora it's possible to get this app running correctly if you had root...

@NoraHensl
Main reason for an ANR ( read: Application Not Responding ) is device's low RAM and/or GHz.
FYI:
An ANR will occur if you are running a process on the UI thread which takes a long time, usually around 5 seconds. During this time the GUI (Graphical User Interface) will lock up which will result in anything the user presses will not be actioned. After the 5 seconds approx has occurred, if the thread still hasn't recovered then an ANR dialogue box is shown informing the user that the application is not responding and will give the user the choice to either wait, in the hope that the app will eventually recover, or to force close the app.
The easiest way to fix an app that keeps crashing on your Android smartphone is to simply force stop it and open it again. To do this, go to Settings -> Apps and select the app that keeps crashing. Tap on the app's name and then tap on 'Force stop'. Now try opening the app again and see if it works well.

Let's collect our discovered bugs of this device. Here are mine:
Default Launcher setting is lost upon reboot. In my case I set Hypersion as default, reboot and the setting is gone. I have to reset and sometimes eben force close the stock launcher or I will still end up on stock when I go back from an app.
GPS coordinates are often wrong in exif of taken photos.
Android Auto freezes as soon as the phone goes into standby.
9gag stays empty and needs to be closed if it was in background.
Google Photos is super laggy due to scoped storage limitations in Android 11. Especially while deleting pictures. Maybe not an device specific issue.
Gboard overlays on places it shouldn't, in any app, only way to fix is to close the app completely.
Game Space app resets everytime I restart my phone, additionally, unhides games, meaning I've gotta flick the switch each time.
Oppo App Market, when I update a app and press install, the install prompt repeatedly refreshes even if the apps installed successfully, only resolve is to close the app completely, and refresh the update page.
Notification panel stays grey even with enhanced dark mode.
App drawer cannot be customized at all, not even row layout.
Swipe up gestures seem to have a hang when swiping up from the centre, also affects keyboard too.
UI glitches in certain apps.
Oppo App Market now persistently requests read app usage permission.
File Manager has a hang upon opening varies between 1-4 seconds.
Microphone volume on social media applications is ridiculously low.
I realize that app drawer customisation & notification panel colour, aren't bugs, however they're very annoying.
Where do we report bugs to Oppo? Cant find it anywhere
Pressing "Close all" disconnects Garmin watch, as it seems to shutdown Bluetooth in the process. Reported to Oppo. No response.

It does not shutdown Bluetooth but the plugin app that is running in the background and is needed to communicate with the watch. Same thing with Samsung active plugin - when I hit close all I get a notification that the plugin restarted itself.

I just sent them an email to their Australian support email address.
There are plenty in the Color OS 11 update. Here's another one... Using "Keep screen on while charging" in Developer Options to circumvent the annoying Android Auto issue, and Navigation pops up with no way of canceling it, even after the phone is disconnected from USB. The only way to get rid of this notification is to restart the phone. Oppo really shouldn't have pushed such a buggy update without proper testing.
Edit... Seems this bug doesn't even need to have android auto activated, just charging via my car's USB port will trigger the navigation bug. Any way to rollback to Android 10? More problems than this is worth.

Don't know about that but personally I don't see any reason to ever hit "close all" in the first place.
Good evening from France to the whole XDA community!
I have a problem on my Oppo Find X2 PRO: it often happens that when I call or someone calls me, no sound is picked up by the phone when I speak. My caller can't hear me.
I wonder if this is related to the use of a Bluetooth device (my speaker, my headset) before?
Has anyone experienced this problem and if so, how did they solve it?
I would add that a simple reboot is enough to correct the problem...
