I have never been a fan of glossy backed phones due to fingerprint smudges. Decided to get a skin for this phone and immediately noticed the far better grip and of course, farewell to fingerprint smudges. Got this online for around 1 USD.
I love carbon fiber <3

I am mainly concerned about fingerprints and smoothness of the operation. Clarity is an important factor also so appears matte finish isn't what I'm looking for since you have that moire over text and such. What would be the optimal screen protector?
Skinomi. Awesome and very easy to apply. They also have the best customer service support!
I actually messed up while applying my screen protector and they sent me a new kit within 2 business days.
Where to get it: Amazon, nuff said.
Thanks for the tip. I think I'm going to try something cheapo like this just so my mother can see if she can live with a matte finish for about a week.

If she finds she can I will find a good high product one.. if not I will go straight with Skinomi most likely than. But I think buying a cheap matte one so she can experience and anti-glare, anti-fingerprint (most critical is fingerprint reduction) than she can make an intelligent decision without blowing $15 just to find she does not like it.
I tried the Zagg and it was a disaster. Application was messy and I personally didn't like the grippy feel. I just got my BodyGuardz put on a couple days ago though and I love it. I bought the combo carbon fiber skin/HD anti-glare screen protector and it's fantastic. Nice feel and definitely cuts down on glare and fingerprints.
Also, if you find them on facebook and post "BodyGuardz Me!" on their wall, they'll send you a 30% off coupon code.
Skinomi
Skinomi wet-apply screen protectors are pretty easy to apply, however they are grippy (like the Zagg's) and 'soft' as in an your fingernail can easily and accidentally leave an indent on the screen protector. It feels almost too soft, where things that leave an indent on the screen protector would never even damage the Gorilla Glass underneath.
Good thing is because it is soft like rubber, most indents un-indent themselves after a while.
Screen Protector
got my screen protector for my Asus Eee Pad made by http://secondshells.com/screen-prot...n-protector-anti-glare-anti-finger-print.html I ordered the anti-glare screen protectors through SecondShells. I have used simply because the touch screen did not lose any sensitivity after I applied it.
The protector had a nice rectangular notch cutout for the camera and for the light sensor(I think that's what it is), I had purchased other protectors and they had these small circular holes, you had to be perfect to install it right, this larger opening made my life a lot easier. Overall very easy to apply, a peel and stick type of protector, with protective covers.. I am very happy. I also recommend getting a stylus like the nano fiber stylus I also ordered from SecondShells responds great with my tablet. http://secondshells.com/touch-stylu...n-with-nano-fabric-retractable-tip-black.html
The Skinomi is nice. Just installed it today. It doesn't reduce glare but the touch is nice. I only wish it were oleophobic...
Sent from my Transformer Prime TF201 using XDA Premium HD app
I installed the Ghost Armor clear front an back on mine and love it. It is a little bit grippy, but no where near as bad as Zagg, which I can't stand!! Ordered mine direct from them for less than $35 shipped. Install is your standard wet install which is super easy in my opinion. Clarity is great and does NOT have the orange peel look like Zagg does. The full body kit comes with front, back, and even pieces to cover the sides. True full body protection!!! They offer many different colors for the back including carbon fiber. http://www.ghost-armor.com/Asus/743.html
I've never been able to get the wet app to work successfully. That's why I chose the dry application secondshells offers.
I picked up the light and dark wood skin wraps from Skinomi.
Installation was super easy, although I didn't use the side wrap or front screen protector (I just wanted the wood on the back).
You can see the difference between the two shades of color and the texture of the skins HERE
Will try to get Dbrands or Slickwraps for comparison.
I have used both Skinomi and dbrand skins for the S7 and S7 Edge.
I find that the Skinomi skins are much lower quality and craftsmanship than the same product from dbrand.
I have not yet had a chance to try out the skins from Slickwraps yet.
Here is my review of the dbrand skin for the S7 http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s7/accessories/dbrand-skin-review-t3343648
I also have an installation video from the S7 Edge up at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tAQthdN4pJA&feature=youtu.be
If you have a chane to try the dbrand skins, i would highly recommend it.
The fit around the camera, heart rate sensor, and the overall fit on the back of the phone is much better.
The material used is also thicker.
The only down side is you use a hair dryer or heat gun during the application process.
This is so that the edges will form 100% to the phone and never peel up.
Hi Everyone, I recently received some products that are all amazing. I decided to make a post about them instead of posting in the accessories post about them because they might be lost and I will make it easier to get lost if someone was looking for the ultimate (Slim without scratches protection).
First, I started with a case called Anccer. They have gravel material which feels very close to the Oneplus 5T Sandstone texture. It is sold via Amazon. It is a very nice slim case that is SCREEN PROTECTOR COMPATIBLE. This case does not push the screen protector anywhere like most other great brand cases I have tried. If you are looking for a case, I highly recommend one of those. I paired this case with a pet screen protector Sold by LK on Amazon. I found a slickdeals discount code and decided to give it a try. I am impressed. It is PET and not liquid based. will post pictures below.
Now the skin talk. I have always been a D-brand fan buying skins. I found out phantomskinz and I tried their skin. I am very impressed by this brand that I haven't heard of before. Here are my thoughts as a long-time dbrand user.
The packaging is great. These guys really have an amazing packaging for their skin. You get a skin, the solution, two liquid based screen protectors, cloth, and a squeegee card. Even, they have a small texture sample on the outside of the box so you can feel it before you open the package. I am posting some photos below.
I went ahead and applied the black carbon skin since I have owned previous dbrand skins, but I can say, the phantomskinz black carbon feels better in the hand. It is a little thicker than the dbrand one and it actually have a good texture for the extra grip, which is helpful with the super slippery Galaxy S9
The application process is not hard and it is actually all in one piece so you have to align everything properly before finishing the installation. I personally like the all-in-one cut VS the separate parts on the 3m paper that dbrand provides. The only separate parts are a small piece for the sim-card and the camera, which I have installed. Overall, the skin feels like a very slim case and not just a skin. Of course, cases won't work after that because that skin is a little thick.
The screen protector is a wet application screen protector just like the IQ shield. It was straight forward, easy to align and squeeze the solution out, then let it dry. (I'd recommend watching a couple of tutorials about that if it is your first time installing a wet screen protector). The protector is edge to edge, so it is meant to be used without most cases, and it is meant to be used by their skins or other skins. The protector feels like the IQ shield where it sports the self-healing for minor scratches. The one thing I would change about the screen protector is the outer layer when pulled after the setup, pulls the screen protector, so I had to remove the protector after removing the outer screen protection plastic, applied more solution then put it back again. So far no edge lift. From the packaging, skin, screen protector, it is a really nice premium feeling product that is bundled nicely. I would give my thumbs up if someone is looking for that smooth all-in-one experience with phantomskinz.
Overall, that is the setup and these are my thoughts. Ask me anything in and I will do my best to answer you if you are thinking about buying the products that I had mentioned. phantomskinz has their own website and the other products are up on amazon.

Great choice. It also has a great texture for an extra grip.
If you are looking for a decent skin just to reduce how slippery the Mate 20 Pro is - I've had good results with Slickwraps.
I wanted a subtle skin so that I can throw the tpu case over it, I ordered a shade series skin as well as two 'naked' skins from Slickwraps. Shade version as backup because over time i've seen a few negative reviews about transparent skins.
Turns out the Slickwraps Naked is perfect. Easy to place since the camera module is a perfect & strong guide.
It arrived without instructions. :/ and without the mounting magic liquid that the instruction videos all use. But a few drips of dish soap in water and a decent mist spray bottle sufficed. After using a credit card to push out all bubbles it took a couple of days for the skin to fully settle but now it's perfect. No longer slippery to hold yet it still has that premium feel.
I just received this case and I love it. Best case I've ever owned for any phone. Slim, not bulky, but great protection for screen, camera, and corners. Silicone material is very smooth. Buttons click easily. Much better than the original case included with my RmX2P.
Fast shipping, delivered from China in 23 days. Includes a free tempered glass screen protector which I haven't tried yet.

Got mine today based on the recommendation in this post, very impressed with it so far. Looks like it'll do a good job of protecting the phone and the clear back shows off the blue colour of the phone really well.
I've coupled it with this glass screen protector and it doesn't interfere with the edges of the case.
