Samsung S21 - SA - Samsung Galaxy S21 Questions

Hello, did someone managed to use a Samsung S21 in a 5G standalone network? I am trying to use a test network using MCC 999 or 001 but the phone in each reboot says is not supported. Does someone got this error or any idea where to change this for testing?

Any updates on this? We're also having a campus net using MCC 999 and MNC 40. Latest firmware installed and DTM branding. We've also tried flashing the indonesian firmware to remove the branding, which caused the "not supported" message to disappear and we were able to see a listed network "99940". Unfortunately we weren't able to register to this network. Is this somehow blocked by Samsung? Could rooting the phone or installing a custom ROM like BeyondROM help with this?

I got it to work by installing forceLTE app and setting preferred network type to NR only.

Requesting an update on this. Trying the same with Pixel 5a, Pixel 6, and Galaxy Fold3.
I just factory reset the Fold and saw the same unsupported mcc (001, 999).
Unable to google assistance for adjusting carrier tables myself on a rooted phone.
I tried an alternative approach by changing my PLMN to 310 25. Setting the phone in a Faraday cage. Still no success seeing the network.
Hope this gets some vision.

[Q] Loaded phone to stock 2.3.5, now it's kind of broken

I have a Samsung Galaxy Ace GT-S5830 and I flashed a Stock 2.3.5 Rom to my phone because I screwed up flashing a previous Rom. The Rom I flashed appears to be defaulted to Poland, I managed to change the language, but for some reason I can't get any Cell reception, I am unable to send texts or make phone calls. I checked the CSC and it is: XEO - Poland (Plus, Era, Heyah, Orange, Play). I don't know much about phones but this appears to be an issue since I don't live anywhere near Poland.
I have a Telus Sim card but it appears as if my phone can't connect to their network. Additionally, before flashing this Rom I was pretty sure that my only option in Network Operators was Telus, but now I have Telus and CAN Rogers Mobile INC. When I attempt to select Telus from this list it says "Registering on TELUS..." for around 2-3 minutes then says "Unable to connect to network, try again"
I live in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
When I go to About Phone>Status it says..
Network: Unknown
Mobile Network Type: UMTS
Service State: Out of Service
Roaming: Not roaming(although this appears to switch on and off, despite me being well within Telus coverage.)
Mobile Network State: Disconnected
Android Version: 2.3.5
Baseband version: S5830XWKS2
Kernel version: 2.6.35.7-perf-CL654989
[email protected] #1
Build number: Gingerbread.XWKS9
Do I have to install a Telus Canadian version of the stock firmware for 2.3.5 or could I possibly install stock firmware for 2.3.4 and update it through kies to get the appropriate CSC?(My phone is able to connect to Samsung kies)
I don't care if my phone has 2.3.4 or 2.3.5, either one would be fine with me.
Any and all help is greatly appreciated, ask me any and all questions.
MAJOR EDIT
I put *#7465625# into my phone to check the Network Lock and Sim Lock's and it turns out
Network Lock [ON]
Network Subset Lock [OFF]
SP Lock [ON]
CP Lock [ON]
Does this mean that I can't connect to to the network because there is a lock on it? If this is right I assume I need to go to Telus and have them unlock it, right?
Edit: I phoned *#2263# to get into a frequency selection screen and I selected: WCDMA Band Preference>WCDMA 850
Telus runs on 850/1900, I have the option to choose 1900, and the option to choose all(850/900/1800/1900/2100), there's also an option to choose "Automatic", should I stick with running 850, or risk running automatic and have it randomly jump around for unknown reasons? I know 850 will work in most areas I go, so it wouldn't be a serious drawback.
I think it's best to use the Telus firmware.....

I'm not entirely certain, but I don't think Telus has any official Firmware that the public has access to. If you have found any that would be appreciated, but as far as I'm aware, companies don't put that kind of thing out into the general public.
On Telusmobilitys site if you go to the section to update software I can see Samsung Galaxy Ace on the list but it says 2.3.4 and there are no available updates, which means I can't update it through that method.
Is the CSC being different an issue or just a small annoyance?

I'm a Singaporean but my Ace is set to XSR (or XER I forgot)

I don't think I clarified this in the op, there is only one option in the CSC list, which is XEO, Poland, I presume I need a Telus CSC, however, using the list found here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=787163
I can't find one that would work for a Telus phone.
Edit: My phones Network is now connected to "TELUS" and Service State is "In Service" but I still have to send messages 3-4 times before they finally say sent, sometimes taking up to 3 minutes to send a simple message.
If anyone knows any way to fix this I'd greatly appreciate it.

[Q] Unlocked S2 Not Registered On Network

Hi I have recently rooted and unlocked my S2. It recognises any sim put into it but if i try to make a call i get 'not registered on network' error. Apart from this the phone is in fully working order. I have set up manually the APN and recognises the sim but still get error.
Any help much appreciated.
Check your IMEI in settings/about phone/status. If it begins with '0044...' (whatever you do, do not post your actual IMEI number here !) you've found the source of your problem.
If your IMEI is OK, two possibilities that spring to mind are the phone is IMEI blocked (check with your carrier) or your carrier hasn't set something up properly at their end (again, check with them).
Hi, thanks for the reply. My IMEI no starts 3533 should this be ok? I also have signal on my phone but in settings says disconnected. I have also tried other sims but have same issue. Do you think i should contact the network or samsung direct or is there anything i can try?
Thanks again

How exactly did you root your phone? Did you flash a new kernel only? Or also a new rom?
Because new roms also tend to flash a new modem in to the phone. Although this is not common, but a modem can change the way the phone talks to the cellphone carrier. Check in your "about" sections under settings whats your "baseband". Note that you can flash a new modem independently from the rom and kernel

OK this makes sense I did flash a new ROM the baseband number is I9100XXLPQ. Does it matter what modem I use and should this match the baseband?
I am having the exact same problem with 2 different carriers, it only shows a 3rd carrier in dominican republic which is claro and i have not been able to test it with a claro sim card, how did you guys resolve the problem.?

[Q] Galaxy Alpha G850A (AT&T - Lollipop5.0.2) issue

Hey guys, recently I've got an Alpha SM-G850A which is for AT&T. I live in Iran and the phone has been unlocked to work here, I was trying to get the Android Lollipop 5.0.2 for my phone. so first I tried to get the update from AT&T software update by phone, but it says that there seems to be no updates available for me, nevertheless on the net the guys claim that they've got the update, is it due to my location in Iran and my internet IP? (I used VPN too but again, no updates). I tried to get the firmware from Sammobile.com too, but there were no firmwares detected for SM-G850A. Can someone help please?:good::good:
BTW, I've got the cellular data from my operator, and it works, but I can't select which type I wanna use (2G, 3G or 4G). I mean there's no options in the phone settings to select the data connection type. NEED HELP!

Even tho the phone is working on other networks you will still need an at&t sim card to update it. There is no way around this as far as i know.
Type below code in dialer and select Device information. Now, if you scroll down you will have the option to change network type.
Code:
*#*#4636#*#*

Y6 Pro 2017 Dual SIM (SLA-TL10)

I hope someone can please help me with this, I've been given a Huawei phone to see if I can fix it. I'm completely new to Huawei phones, and this seems to be a particularly obscure model. In the about section in the settings menu, it's described as Huawei Y6 Pro 2017. It's a dual sim model, and the model number is SLA-TL10. Build number is SLA-TL10C636B140
When I google search for Huawei SLA-TL10, I find a completely different phone, and when I search for Y6 Pro, I find completely different model numbers.
It definitely has UK, or at least European, firmware, it has a full set of google apps including the play store.
Most of the time it won't connect to a mobile network with either SIM slot. Sometimes it does, but only when there's a 2G network available. For instance it will connect to EE with a E signal, it will detect a giffgaff (O2) signal but won't get a data connection, and it doesn't detect 3 network at all.
I can't find enough out about this phone to establish if this is likely to be a firmware problem, or if I should skip straight to opening the thing up and seeing if one of the antennae isn't connected properly.
It doesn't look like the IMEI has become corrupt, it returns the correct IMEI numbers for both SIM slots. The baseband version does look a bit strange though, it just says 00006,00006 I'm not sure if that's normal?
Is it possible to do something similar to what I would do with a Samsung phone, where I would flash the baseband/modem file with odin? If so, how would I find the baseband file, and what would I use to flash it?
Thanks.
edit: I've been told now that it was bought in Hong Kong, so I guess the firmware is international English? It defaults to English when I factory reset it.

Locked myself out of CSC changing screen [Help]

Obligatory - This is my first post here, please go easy on me. If this is the wrong section please point me where I need to go.
Okay, I have been having issues getting IMS registration (for att) on my N20U (unbranded) Snapdragon. This is an issue because I don't receive most calls without VoLTE, and the service I am using is actually FirstNet. (An at&t service that provides priority cell tower access for first responders.) Who is also dropping legacy 3G and analogue calling at the end of the year.
The FN sim I was given would not change the network CSC to ATT like it should have in order to work properly.
I was able to get to the manual CSC change menu through the dialer code with a TFW-att sim card (yes, while on oneUI 3.0). I suppose the menu is locked out when other csc's are active.
This allowed me to force change to ATT's csc, then place my FN sim in the phone. The kicker? I had to toggle "do not auto update CSC based on sim data" in the menu to get this method to stick.
Things are grand, working fine, but i got curious as to what options the other csc's had to offer. So i start flipping through the list and end up landing on.....you guessed it..... XAA.
Without thinking about it, i ran it, the phone rebooted, and now im screwed. Flashed the ATT rom with Odin- no change. Factory reset? No change. I messed up BIG.
Finale / TLDR
If you didn't get what just happened there, I used a specific sim card to enable a CSC a menu that uncle sammy does not want you playing with. Proceeded to disable auto CSC changing by SIM, then walked back into a CSC that does not allow me to open said menu. Thus preventing my phone from working fully on ANY NETWORK ever again. With root impossible...
Side notes that failed: Tried fac reset/ tried firmware flash/ tried samkey (no android 11 support)/ tried force change from network side. I hope im not out of options?
