dotOS is an Android ROM which focuses on performance and stability. We focus on making our rom look and feel great without struggling on Performance and Battery! So that one can get most out of his/her device.....
Flashing instructions
CLEAN FLASH
1) Go to TWRP
2) Format data
3) Flash ROM. It will flash to the opposite slot.
4) Don't reboot yet.
5) Flash TWRP again. IMPORTANT, if you want to keep TWRP!!! Not possible to flash stuffs in
DotOS recovery.
6) Press reboot. Select the opposite slot. That is where the new ROM was flashed.
7) Reboot recovery
8) Flash magisk
9) Flash Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt
10) Reboot
Note: First time booting may take a while. The phone will first be on the LG boot screen for about 3 to 5 minutes before the continuing to the ROM boot logo. So don't panic if it stays on the LG logo for some time.
DIRTY FLASH
1) Boot TWRP.
2) (Optional) Format data. Only optional if your device is not encrypted.
3) Press reboot
4) Choose the inactive slot.
5) Reboot recovery.
6) Flash ROM
7)Flash TWRP again. IMPORTANT, if you want to keep TWRP!!! Not possible to flash stuffs in
DotOS recovery.
8) Press reboot. Select the opposite slot. That is where the new ROM was flashed.
9) Reboot recovery
10) Flash magisk
11) Flash Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt
12) Reboot
BUGS:
Not possible to flash stuffs in DotOS recovery.

Installed DotOS through TWRP with root, was able to boot into the software. I then rebooted back into TWRP recovery and flashed GApps - which promptly gave me a bootloop.
I'm pretty sure I was supposed to format data after flashing GApps - were you able to get it successfully?

Honestly I didn't try.
Had experience with redmi phone.
I think you should perform basic wipe without rebooting, then install Gapps.
Its important to choose right. Gapps wrt to arm version.
Try with minimal version of gapps .

Plz encoperate gapps with rom as a single file.
Heard that new source code is released by LG so it will further development of custom rom.

Here it goes... Flash the ROM followed by data format followed by rebooting to system after switching the slot. Then reboot to recovery followed by flashing the right gapps followed by data format. Good to go for booting to the system.
In case of dirty flash, just flash the latest ROM and good to go. If faced with any bootloop, then do follow the procedure as a clean flash.

I flashed this on g8x at&t(850um), unfortunately it crashed, got kernel panic error. Besides, it lost TWRP, so it's a soft brick right now. Maybe the reason is AT&T has some special settings.
With dotOS 5.1.3, it could boot up (with bug wifi off.
----solved----1. USE PAYLOAD_DUMPER to get IMGs from payload.bin in zip file. ----
python3 C:\Users\user\Downloads\payload_dumper-master\payload_dumper.py payload.bin
-----2. fastboot the 6 imgs.-----
fastboot flash boot boot.img && fastboot flash system system.img && fastboot flash dtbo dtbo.img && fastboot flash product product.img && fastboot flash vbmeta vbmeta.img && fastboot flash vendor vendor.img && fastboot reboot

Indeed; it seems like the carrier versions of the LG G8X have some serious issues with custom ROMs - it works perfectly on my unlocked LG G8X.
