On Android 10, this device would task kill occasionally, but most of the time it was perfectly usable.
Now, on Android 11, AccuBattery gets killed every 5 minutes (on average), I had to uninstall NetGuard because it would just start, get killed immediately, and repeat, and using a 3rd party launcher is painful because every time you press the home button it needs to take 5 seconds to load the icons.
I have tried doing all the stuff DontKillMyApp suggested for OneUI 3, but to no avail.
I'm open to most options that don't involve the LineageOS port that has recently came out for this device, as that seems a little too bleeding edge for my main device. I'd prefer to not have to trip Knox, but if there is nothing else that can be done I'd probably do it.
Other info about my device:
Model number: SM_A217F
OneUI version: Core 3.1
Security patch level: 1 June 2021
Region variant: XFV

Hi everybody,
just took the time to find out some malfunctions on my Note 5, SM-N920R4, Android VErsion 6.0.1, patch level 1.6.16, rooted. Bought it last year, use it in Germany.
Some things are proceeding very slow on the phone, most of all works correct.
1. Pushmessages from Twitter: I touch on it, Twitter opens one minute +x later on.
2. Installations from Playstore: after download it takes tenth of minutes till installation is reported as ready . I already deleted teh playstore cache and the playstore updates back to first release as mentioned in various help hints, no success.
3. counter bubbles in telegram and w'app are behind the reality, especially they don't disappear after reading the messages
4. An external alarm clock (A4C Alarm, I use it because it is one of the rare ones, which shows the remaining time right during the setting) gives the alarm delayed or not at all, the origin alarm clock works perfect.
5. Installation of the Bitcoin Ticker Widget.
After placing a widget on the screen it takes tenth of minutes with showing: "loading data..." till it shows the numbers. On every other phone the numbers occur immediately.
So I thought, that all of that could be a data block problem and I deinstalled the Kaspersky Security, no change.
I look for an idea to find out, whats delaying especially the steps i mentioned in 1, 2, and 5.
Best

Just noticed my watch is downloading a system update, ut has paused as battery is too low, I am already on the December Patch, is this just a security patch or something else?
Wear OS 1.0 with the February security patch.
I look on the internet and see it keeps saying the lg watch style having the Wear OS 2.0. I look at my watch and it is the Wear OS 1.0. I see listed above Oytsejam1138 mention Wear OS 1.0 with the February security patch. It is bragged about how 2.0 is so much better, that it is such a leap forward. So anyone knows with the situation is? I see they sell them with 2.0, at least that is what I believe I am reading.
Another question but a change of topic. I have the lg g4 h811 phone and the lg watch style. I can use my phone to add to the grocery list or my other lists but the watch cannot through the Google assistant interface. On my watch I have to open the "Keep" app. and choose the list I want to add something to then hit + and one by one add to the list. That is so slow. I grab my phone and say "Ok Google, add to my XXXXX list" and is asks what I want to add. I say something, the app. asks "what else" and I go on from there until I tell it I am done. The question is, shouldn't my watch be able to do that? On my watch I can say, "note to self". My watch (typed text) asks me what I want inside the note to be. I tell it and it saves it in the "Keep" app. I can see them when I open my "keep" app on my watch or phone.
Change of topic again. (I should really make different posts and not compile all this here). Suddenly my watch has started to something. When I open the "Keep" app. it starts to sink and it never stops until I close it and randomly when I reopen it right back up again it is all synced up. Lots of times it never syncs.
Yeah, I'm also wondering about wear 2.0. Just got this along with a Huawei Watch 2 Classic, and I cannot get the watch to update to wear 2.0, event though it says everywhere it is supposed to have it.
I contacted technical and they said to first go into settings of the watch and do an update. I went into Setting./ system / about then chose update. The next step they said in the software in your phone OS to disconnect your watch. Now the next step really did not make sense because they told me to factory reset my watch. Now uninstall the app from the phone and reinstall the latest version. Now lpair your watch with your phone and let the watch update.
My results were bad. My wach went back to when I first bought it and I had to reinstall everything I had on it again. Waste of time. Since than I see my watch updated to 1.1. I don't understand because no where does my watch tell me I am running 2.0... It says Wear OS by Google 1.1.
But it does have Home App 2.11.0. xxxx Are they trying to say the term Home App is the Wear OS? then what does the term Wear OS by Google mean.
Same here Wear 1.1, no updates to Wear 2.0
What the hell? Why is nobody talking about this? Well, except from us.
Edit: I think I figured it out. Wear OS reset and renamed Android Wear. So Wear OS 1.1 is the update to Android Wear 2.0. No?
I think your right. I looked at the Wear OS app on my phone and it shows that it is Wear OS 2.11.0.XXXXX and on my phone that version number matches the information given by my watch as: Home App 2.11.0.xxxxxx. I think the watch Home App is the same as saying Wear OS. and our Wear OS on the watch is what you said, version 1.1 is the same as Wear OS 2.1.0.XXXX. I think our watches are up to date. The terminology is screwy. The watch titles one way and the phone app title's the same thing a different way.
On the watch: Home app 2.11.0.xxx
On the phone: Wear OS 2.11.0.xxx
On our watch: Wear OS 1.1
I'm having problems with Chrome (76.0.3809.89) and Chrome Beta (76.0.3809.89) on my Android device (Google Pixel 3 XL) running Android Pie 9.0 with July security patches.
Every time that I launch either one of the two browsers, I'm able to browse the Web for only less than a minute until the browser stops responding and gives me the dialog box asking me how to proceed (kill, wait, report).
If I choose to kill the task, I'm able to browse the Web again (after relaunching the browser) for less than a minute before the browser freezes again. If I choose to wait, the wait seems to be endless. When reporting the issue, the cause of the crash is stated as: "ANR input dispatching timed out (Waiting to send non-key event because the touched window has not finished processing certain input events that were delivered to it over 500.0 ms ago. Wait queue length: 41. Wait queue head age: 9768.5ms.)" (The queue length and head age varies).
The troubleshooting steps that I've taken so far:
disabled synchronization of data on both browsers
logged out of my Google account on both browsers
deleted cache and all data on both browsers
running Chrome in safe mode
-> The issue persists leading me to believe that the problem is not related to corrupt cache/user data, my Google account, and/or installed third party apps.
To help with further troubleshooting efforts, I've included recent main, system, and crash logs showing what's going on while I've tried to use Chrome in safe mode:

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I'm having pretty much the same problem.
I don't even get a minute though.
They both just display the app info/kill/report box.
I'm rooted on 7 Pro
I've wiped cache & storage.
I've rebooted.
I installed all updates, which did get it working, but then I loose some new features I want.
What did you end up doing?
Hi,
my dad has Redmi Note 3 since several months. Everything was working good, but since about two months he can't see anything in Recent Apps. For example, he browse something with Chrome, minimize it with Home button, go to Facebook and minimize it. He should have both Chrome and Facebook in recent apps, but there's nothing there. The problem started without doing any updates or installing new software. His phone works on Android 6.0.1 MMB29M and MIUI 10.2.1.0. Have you got any ideas how to fix it? Preferably, without wiping data...

Install android 9 or 10 and u will see everything in recents.
Does restarting device fixes this issue? If it does not then check for update if available which is less likely but give it a try.
Does this happen with any specific set of apps or with all apps?
Make sure there is enough memory available to system to run normally, mostly 500 MB is needed but if possible keep more than that.
Check background process limit in developers options, it should have been set to standard limit if not then set it and check.
If non of this works then flash any stable ROM, i would highly suggest to flash any stable ROM of 9 or 10(10 ROMs has some bugs but 9 ROMs are pretty stable). do backup everything before flashing if you choose to.
I got the following phone:
Moto G Pure | 2021 | 2-Day battery | Unlocked | Made for US by Motorola | 3/32GB | 13MP Camera | Deep Indigo
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09BTB5MKT/
It has an Android 11 installed.
I followed the guide on reddit titled “Found a way to disable OTA Updates on Android 11 Motorolas.”
https://www.reddit.com/r/MotoG/comments/zk4m5b
The last step mentions that:
“Now, reboot the device.
Here's the caveat of this approach - We can disable run in background permissions, but cannot control the BOOT_COMPLETED intent. This means the two apps still auto-start on each boot after receiving the boot complete signal.
Workaround you need to do on every reboot of the device:
Go to Settings -> System -> Advanced -> Developer Options -> Running Services
Select Software Update. You'll see two processes: OTA Service, and FOTA Controller. Hit stop on both of them, one by one. The Android system will then kill both processes. Due to the RUN_IN_BACKGROUND deny restriction, the Software Update app will stay down until the next reboot as Android will not allow it to restart.
Your Running Services screen should now look like this:

“
This requires me after every phone reboot to go to settings -> running services, wait until the Motorola Software Update service shows up (could take few seconds), then press stop on both services/processes inside it in order for the Motorola Software Update service to fully disappear from the running services and it doesn’t bug me about any updates or forces me to install/reboot the phone because of the update (Windows updates style lol). This is a hassle and not convenient, is there a way to somehow disable it or automate it with AutoInput so I don’t need to do it manually each time?
For example, after phone restart, when I go to running services, after waiting for few seconds, a new app appears in the running list (the position of the app in the list is dynamic): Motorola Software Update, these are the two services I see when I click on it:

Image 709-D5-B45-91-DA-4599-BD66-7-FCC25-E04-C1-D hosted in ImgBB
ibb.co
OtaService and FotaController
How to use AutoInput to find the right app in the running services list to click on it (it’s a scrollable list might need to scroll down to find Motorola Software Update there) and then in the screen that opens click stop for each of these services (I think there are only 2 but maybe sometimes there are 3 showing with a stop button next to each one)
I’m just trying to wrap my head around how it will be used and the capabilities it has, hopefully you could shed some more light, if you actually already did something like this and could share that could be great!
Thank you.
