May I ask you if you are still on the original firmware to send me the file wpa_supplicant.config? Or if you have the original ROM it will the best way if you can send me the link to download it. Thanks.

Thank you for your answer! Is your device rooted? Because only if it's rooted you can go to the folder where the file is. Or maybe you have the ROM? That will be the best way if you have the ROM to send it to me. Or to ask your reseller to send it to you? By the way where did you buy it from? That might help me to obtain the original firmware.
Thanks

How is the folder named? Let me look in to that first, i don't think the site allows direct company names that sell this product.
I'm surprised about the low info here on this tablet.
Maybe new info i found will help, it's also known as superpad.
And I'm sure it's no fake. Google it. I will not advertise here.
Still need some good info and answers.
Send from my Flytouch 5. (Mercury)
I bought one of these chunks of crap, it ran for 24 hrs now it won't boot it had newer yospad firmware but I can't remember the exact build cause it won't boot now. What I need to know is how to do a hardware reset, not the little reset button it just restarts it or another yospad rom.
Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

Who the hell gives names to this devices .. ? Flytouch 5 ? zomg!
this is the ONLY company that has the Infotmic SoC available for implementing into tablets:
http://www.shuoying.com/global/index.asp
http://www.shuoying.com/global/Product.asp?/3.html (tablet page)
I Know that, cause I personally visited the head of Infotmic SoC design (Shenzhen) and ShuoYing CEO, also in Shenzhen (Infotmic HQ is from Shanghai)
If there is any other tablet with "Flytouch" design, then they are tempered from the original tablet made by Shuoying, or they are so wild that it is really a mystery of it's origin.
My guess is that those are regular FT2 (since all have the same CPU) tweaked by some wild chinese people, Kernel and OS, and RAM/ROM
not to all - dont buy tablets from companies that dont show up in 1-2 hours search. You'll end up with tablet that someone assembled by hand and a screwdriver, and most probably extremely bad OS.
flashing rom on yospad
Use only Z4 to root the yospad. Can someone leave link for fw flash for yospad

I think your completely right there.
I use it for a remote control know.
Thanks for the input btw.
Digital Zoro - im sorry for your failed tablet device.
On the other hand - I find the FT2 design to be the best tablet design ever. it obviously lacks the fine finish, and better materials, but - 10 inch wide tablet, with every god damn port there is - pure win.
I saw the "actual" FT3 in Infotmic Shenzhen, and it looks awesome - capacitive screen, ARM Cortex A8 based infotmic SoC (about time dudes, you are sooo late) .. dont know why isnt out yet, cause all those named "FT3" dont have same specs as the one I saw.

My Flytouch 5
The design is not really bad and i like that it has the rj-45 port.
The screen I find bad. No multitouch and slow reaction when touched.
Its thick and heavy to hold.
Flytouch 5 should have GPS build in, but it doesn't.
The Flytouch 2 3 4 5 are all the same design. On one moment it lost the second mini sd slot.
Is this only with the fake ones?
No, they are all faulty. the forementioned Shuoying company makes crapy tablets
I took for bussines 30 units the first time around, and I still have 6 broken units. others had flaws, mostly of how they are assembled - everything is sticking out, and such. USB/SD slots die more often than you could imagine.
buttons are the biggest problem - they are not glued in & soldered - they are JUST soldered. so the only thing that holds them into place is Tin (Sn) and we all know how that is firm and solid
oh, there is also a screen problem - there are 3 types of ZIF wire-to-board connector types for the screen, so if you ever need a screen replacement - dont even think about it.
the best assembled chinese tablet is from a company Utopia, in my expirience. you can find them by the name "imx515" A8 or A10 tablet. it turns out that solutions for assemble is better than most of the branded companies.
I am looking for a new Smartphone and the MT6595 is very interesting.
But, I also want to use it with a Docking-Station for exp. with a external USB-DVB-S2-Tuner, USB-IRDA (Remote for XBMC), USB-HDD and so on.
The MT6595 and MT6795 supports 4K.
But I can't find informations for a Docking-Station with MHL 3.0.
The only "nearly" information I found is this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mp7AMxJCpBk
Can someone please help?
Look out for the alcatel smartbook platform.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v5zavjzwNH0
They said more info is to come in IFA (thats ~1.5 weeks away).
Even if the smartbook is locked down to alcatel/TCL only, it will be getting the 6595 in the first round of phones to be out, IFA should be very interesting this year.

Maybe I am blind, but I can't find informations about the Docking-Station or the MT6595 from the IFA-Feeds ...
There is a new MT6595M low budget phone called Vibe Z2. But nothing about the "MT6595", "MT6595-Turbo", MT6795 or the MHL 3.0 Docking-Station

Sadly, they don't know if it will come to market just yet.
Remember the laptop dock for Motorola's Atrix? Well, Alcatel is bringing it back, after a fashion. The company is still working on the SmartBook, an 11-inch "laptop" with a keyboard, trackpad and display that simply utilizes the power of the Hero 2 for its own ends. It works by pairing wirelessly with the phone over NFC, and then enables you to use a bigger display, mouse and keyboard for work and gaming. Unfortunately, the SmartBook isn't quite ready for prime time, and Alcatel will be hawking it around to various interested parties before deciding whether to bring it to market. If it does, however, then you can expect to pay €179 for it.

You're right about the new MT 6595 or 6795 phone(s), they haven't announced it just yet.
I'm looking to get an Android TV device and I am overwhelmed with options. I want something that is fully unlockable with an active development community. What originally got me interested was the Amazon Fire TV but after reading up it seems the new units are no longer rootable/unlockable. That lead me down the path to other devices. I think I've settled on the AMLogic based devices (if there are other suggestion I'm open). It looks like there are basically 3.
S905 - Older chip and stuck with Android 5 roms
S905x - Newer with 4k but performance is not as good at the S905. More dev/roms available
S912 - 8 core. Has DVB S2/T2 support (not sure what that does for me though) Does not seem to be a lot of dev for this. Only one thread I saw.
Based on these assumptions I'm leaning toward a X96 - S905x 2GB/16GB model for $42.99.
Also. Do the non Amazon devices support Amazon video? My current chromecast's do not and that is one reason for the upgrade.
I am in a similat boot here
Decided on the X96 because I found the page for the firmware updates before I found a link to buy the box LOL
Apart from the missing BT a great box considering the usual limitations.
Amazon video only works on Amazon devices AFAIK but I don't use it.
Same story for Android TV, great hype about it but I think it is just a crippled launcher with really limited content showing up - mainly Youtube and Google but nothing else.
The S912 seems to be the affordable alternative if you need BT and a bit more computing power for games but S905D boxes are slowly turning up.
Same for devices running on Android7 and offering up to 3GB/32GB.
But Android7 for TV boxes is in an early beta to say it nice with a lot of bugs and half cooked menu structures - better to wait a bit longer if you ask me.
And since the hardware for these boxes is literally identical within the families it comes down to personal preference and what can be modded or not.
Personally I am starting to think that despite the huge price tag the Shield is still the best option in terms of quality, hardware and support.
DVB is for terrestial and satellite TV.
Thanks. I did not realize there was no BT on the S905x boxes. My only concern there is I was planning to use a wireless BT keyboard with it.
Almost all wireless keyboards that come with a dongle will work, for example the Logitech and MS ones, same for the dirt cheap and tiny touchpad keyboards you get on Ebay.
BT is only a problem if you need it for game controllers, weather stations or to pair some speakers to it.
I see. I went ahead and ordered a X96 that included a mini keyboard last night. I figure for $47.98, including shipping, what the heck right? I'll have a cheap new toy to play with.
Once you played enough you will start playing even more when you try different custom roms
hi please help i flashed wrong twrp recovery i think now my amlogic smartbox failed to boot in recovery mode and the main problem is my smartbox Encryption Unsuccessful Factory reset, when i click factory reset nothing happend please guide how to solve this

Both of the above around 70 dollars each
Ahh, now we see the difference
You ask for an ANDROID TV but in fact you are looking for an Android TV BOX - big difference!
In case I got this right:
IMHO there is little to no difference between the various boxes.
Comes down to what the firmware can provide as the hardware is next to identical.
Sure, a new DDR4 box will load much faster and might be a better choise for gaming...
But for watching videos it matters more what TV you have and what you do with it.
For 4K content and DRM stuff you should check first if the box really supports it.
4K in Youtube and Netflix usually only works if Android TV is installed but won't always work in 4k on a normal box.
And of course if you need Bluetooth (game controller, phone pairing...) then you should look for those having BT4 and dual WiFi.
I have the X96 that I only got because I saw little support for it and wanted to try some modding on my own.
Quite happy with it but it has no BT.
Got the Yundoo Y8 a few days ago and although it is fast and has BT I am not really impressed by it.
There is no DRM support that is worth to mention, not even Widewine.
3D gaming performance is, for what I can see, neither better nor much faster than on the S905X.
I suggest to check what you really need in hardware, then check which boxes in that field are supported by the modding community.
Beelink, Mecool, VIM, just to name a few.
Android Nougat is overrated IMHO too.
So far no manufacturer produced a Marshmallow rom that had no annoying flaws, even if it is just the messed up keyboard support.
Android7 brings more problems for the modding and so far only half cooked solutions are hitting the market
Unless you love to tinker with firmware a lot I suggest to stick to Android6 for now.
Beelink GT1 Ultimate !!!
Just ordered to my nephew from AliExpress. The Price is below 60$ and the Beelink firm is well known.
It has 3G RAM and Memory of 32G. The processor is Amlogic S912 Octa Core CPU DDR4. In other words it's a beast for that price.
Enjoy,
:highfive::highfive::highfive::highfive::highfive::highfive::highfive::highfive::highfive::highfive::highfive::highfive:
I have bought a dongle and discovered it does not have the usual RK SoC , instead it has an Allwinner A10. The pcb is red, it has the SoC, flash, sram, some voltage regulators and a push button and a led. Does anyone have any idea where to get firmware roms for this dongle? The stock firmware is very bad. Dlna barely works. Miracast disconnects immediately after connection.
@an31415 people would need the name and model number to stand a chance of helping you.
I think the best you could hope for is firmware from another identical device sold under a different brand name.
if you were able to try this you'd still need to have the original firmware on hand in case it didn't work.

Thanks @3mel for your reply. The product box says "HDMI Dongle Wifi Display Receiver" and on the dongle it is written "Anycast". This is one of the many clones you can by on Aliepxress. I was hoping it's one with an RK cpu, but after cracking it open I found out it has an Allwinner A10 cpu. I searched high and low on internet to find and alternative firmware for it because the current one is crap. I'll try to attach some pictures here of the PCB, maybe somebody can identify it and point me in the right direction.
But how do I attach picture? Can junior members do it ?
More info: the dongle PCB is red and has a label, SP-X11-V2.0, and the name of the Wifi access point it creates is SP-xxxxxx, where the Xs are random hex digits.
The Wifi addon pcb is green and has no markings. The wifi chip is a well known Realtek that is found in all other similar products.
if you inbox me the AliExpress link I will post it here for you, that's probably the best way for anyone to identify it.
https://m.aliexpress.com/item/4001025810891.html
I received the variant in the colorful box(not the blue ones) and it does not say M2 nor M4 on the box. The product description says it has an AM8252 cpu, but it's not true. I guess the only way to id it is to post pictures of the pcb.
https://youtu.be/uXgBrT6J_Ew
the chips aren't the same as yours but does the board look similar ?
being honest I wouldn't get your hopes up, it's a cheap clone / copy of a chromecast. it's not going to be supported that well, they've already sold you something that doesn't match their product description. take it for what it is and learn that you get what you pay for... sorry.
The board is not similar, it has different ICs, different layout, different color. But the plastic enclosure is identical, except for the venting holes on the back, which are bigger on mine. This case copies the Chromecast (first generation), so people expect it to be a Chromecast clone. It isn't, but it does serve a similar purpose
The date on the PCB is 2019.10.10, fairly recent. I expect a new wave of clones have hit the market, disguised as already established products, but based on a different SoC. The only problem is their firmware is even less stable than the old ones, so I guess other people, not just me, are looking for solutions.
some of those people looking need to be devs.
Yup. Or anybody with a similar but not identical A10 based board. Maybe we can spot different fw versions in the wild
A small update if anybody is interested. I've connected the board via usb to my laptop (running linux mint). Doing this while keeping the button pressed will put the board's bootloader in some sort of firmware update mode. Running lsusb will show it as an usb device : "Bus 001 Device 066: ID 1f3a:efe8 Onda (unverified) V972 tablet in flashing mode". Of course this is not an Onda tablet, but it certainly has an identical SoC, thus the misidentification of the usb device.
Googling for this string I randomly found out there are some people called the sunxi community that strive to create a linux kernel and toolchain for these Allwinner devices, and they have done it quite successfully.
There are many custom firmwares for tablets, tv boxes and mini PCs that are based on the allwinner SoC. It seems this miracast hdmi device is just a trimmed down mini PC. It certainly runs pure linux, no Android, because its ram and flash are much smaller than what I found in the specs of any android devices.
So the question is: does any body have any knowledge of the existence of such a linux based firmware for this miracast board ? I'll go ask the sunxi people also.
