Hi guys
This might be a basic question to most, but I´m posting it regardless;
On the standby state (screen off/all functions on) when a notification like a sms arrives the screen turns on for about 5 secs.
I find that timming a bit too short but could not find a way or options to get it a bit longer.
Any hints on this ?
thks in advance
i dont think there is an easy way...
didnt find anything related to this so in my opinion - its an inside setting that can be change only by changing the code itself.
10 seconds should be better...
Hi all,
as the title says...is there any way of turning off / disabling the vibration that happens to tell you your phone is off.?
it's really annoying
running Omega ICS v10 - XWKL1

Seriously ? How many times do you shutdown your phone per hour ?
I do not know of such mod and I don't believe that someone else thought to remove it ...

there was no need to be nasty, if you didn't know, just say you don't know.
@blueseeker I do it once per day when I go to bed and it's a pointless vibrate so just wondered if I'd missed a setting or if anyone had a script that would/could disable it..
But thanks for your response
@theguydan thanks for the criticism of the pointlessness of blueseekers comment

I don't think there is because it isn't normally seen as a big issue and can be useful (i.e. if you think your phone is bricked or there is a boot loop but it vibrates). Sorry I couldn't help more, it may depend on the rom you use (stock rom has a sound but Cyanogenmod doesn't).
Actually my i9000 doesn't vibrate after shutting it down !! Is it normal ??
It just stopped doing it after flashing a JVT !!
thanks
Prevent Samsun Galaxy S2 or S11 vibrating on shutdown
I've found a way of prevent the annoying shutdown vibration, but it involves stopping all vibrating alerts (I think).
Go to settings, sound, Haptic feedback and turn on the Haptic feedback (if it is not already), then go to vibration intensity (just below) and reduce the sensitivity to zero. Hey presto no more annoying vibration on shut down or indeed annoying vibration at any time .
as Zakarath said... I posted a similar solution just yesterday. Don't forget to use the search before you post. This has already been answered a couple of times.

Often get many messages and notifications that go noticed as the vibration is very weak. Is there anyway to adjust the intensity?
I really wish there as a way, it's pathetic. I don't think I've managed to notice a single call when I'm walking... I think I might have to switch phones because of this. I've managed to work out almost everything else to be how I want it, but even with root (which I don't have yet), I can't see a way around this one. There are some apps that change vibration pattern and those might help but intensity is a no go I think... Oh well, love the phone so a bit gutted to be honest...
Hey google not responding with screen off or locked?
Tried enabling in the settings, still only works when phone is active?.
I have same problem ... It works only on lock screen, not when screen is black. So for example if I have accident and cannot move my arms, then I cannot use assistant to call for help, because I need to push power button (or double tap screen) first . This is very sad, just imagine how many people dieded because they could not call for help .
LOL, im sure it will get fixed, glad its just not me.
Did they remove the BOOST charge option for you to?

I never heard of boost option what is that ..
In charge setting there was an option called BOOST MODE, i was getting 18 min charge with it on, now its 21-22 mins, not a big difference really, just wondered where it went.

Lolxx.. This is too much
LOL, yeah it probably will not get fixed for a while if ever, its a satey net issue.
God dam annoying though.
A neat workaround is if you have a smartwatch, it still works on that.
No dont just tell me to go to settings and turn it off it does not work and I am not an idiot. The screen still sometimes shows up even though ambient display is set to off. I want to nuke it. Want it to go away. I have root and the will to remove it but I dont know how. This was an issue with android 11 and 12.

I know this kind of answer is annoying, but I never had it activate once in over a year. Disabling it works fine for me, sorry.
Can you show us your settings? I don't doubt your abilities to read don't worry, but maybe we can find something wrong by having more eyes on it.
disable wake screen for notifications probably.
