1 Question: Hi guys i made an full backup of all directories with orangefox I mean really all directories (boot, dbto, etc...) (backup was made on the same rom, I used the stock kernel) and flashed stock miui rom V12.0.2.0.QJZMIXM (I made this backup and flashed the same rom because I wanted to install a kernel and I didn't liked it) and started to restore my backup from xiaomi cloud, then I entered in orangefox and flashed my backup of all directories above the stock rom I installed. Won't be there any problems if I did this? (I mean, is this wrong that I flashed the backup above existing directories?)
2 Question: Also I don't really remember if I had this problem before flashing stock rom but now I Viber when someone calls me or I call someone after I accept the call my screen just makes black and I can't open it, so I can't finish my call in Viber. I checked some settings in Viber and I turned off the setting "use device proximity sensor" (my proximity sensor is working fine with simple SIM Card calls and other apps) and now my screen doesn't turn off but viber makes a black screen and I need to exit viber and close it then I enter again in Viber and I can see with who I am talking (turn on microphone, camera...) I mean Viber call screen and I can talk normally, and I need to do this procedure all the time to see the Viber call screen.
3 Question: I think my battery is draining a bit faster than it was, or I'm just paranoid. How you know, after charging xiaomi phone it shows how many hours remaining (how much it will work), I charged it a week ago and it said 44 hours and 30 minutes or something like that, and now it showed me 43 hours and 30 minutes. Can you say if u have or had an xiaomi redmi note 9 pro after you bought it how much time it showed that battery will work (how many hours). Should I fully discharge my phone and charge it again to see how it's discharging, could the problem be because of what I did in Question 1?
Thank you! Hope someone will answer all my 3 questions

Hey guys,
Been having some trouble with Whatsapp on my phone for a while now, I have a problem where no matter what I do, I can't complete my profile to actually USE whatsapp.
I've had Whatsapp on this same phone, uninstalled it about 6 months ago, and I've just gotten a new number in the past week so I thought I'd try and set up Whatsapp with my new number.
Installed fine, verified fine, the problem is that every time I get to the Profile Info screen that I can not skip, I can either only EVER do one of three things:
A) Try and upload a photo and have it close after three seconds
B) Press next and watch it say "Initializing.." then close after three seconds
C) Sit there pointlessly forever on the Profile Info screen and have it not crash
While it's not too much of a bother that it's not working, (seeing as I don't have any like, saved messages or anything) I would still like to be able to use Whatsapp if anyone knows how to fix this problem
Alright, now my phone, it's a Vodafone 845 (Yeahhhh I know I need a new phone) and I'm running the Fresh Zodiac Fruit custom ROM
Happened to me too once when I was messing with my phone and dirty flashed to a new rom. When I restored my old ROM, it wouldn't let me log into whatsapp and freeze at the initializing screen. I don't have a solution but my situation was fixed by factory resetting my phone (wipe cache/dalvik/system/so forth), installing a new version of the rom, verifying that whatsapp worked and then restoring my apps with titanium backup. Good luck to you.
i have the same problem, stuck on initializing.
phone: i9100 sgs2
Hi all
I tried going to a Lollipop ROM on my S2 but I only managed to change the recovery, the ROM didn't work (boot loop) so I used ODIN to revert back to the stock ROM (i9100XWLSW) wiped both the data and dalvik cache. I did also have Kingroot installed during all this and I installed it again after flashing the stock ROM but I've since removed that too with another write of the stock ROM via ODIN.
The problem I'm having now is Whatsapp and other apps won't actually do anything if the device is asleep. The WiFi appears to be connected, logo is present at the top if i wake the device but it takes about 10 - 30 seconds of being inside an app (such as Whatsapp) for anything to happen. I'm not sure if this is a WiFi issue or some sort of app issue across the board? I woke up today at 9am checked my phone there was nothing on it. It was only at 10:30am when I went to send a Whatsapp message to someone and opened the app manually that i had messages come in from 8am that morning. I also use Whatsapp Web and some times it won't connect to the phone via WiFi even if the device is awake. I have to reboot and try again. Although if it's connected via Whatsapp Web and asleep messages come in no problem at all both on the PC and the phone??!!!!
It's doing it constantly now, at the start it was touch and go but now it's all the time i have to constantly check the app for messages to come in. This happens on other apps too.
What's going on? Have i damaged my device some how from the flashing process? I'm pretty familiar with ODIN as I used to flash my old Galaxy Apollo all the time but never had this problem.
I was going to get a new phone but I actually really like my S2 and it actually keeps up with most of the phones in my price range and in some cases (camera, AMOLED screen, storage, sometimes RAM) it is better than the new stuff!
Any idea's please?
Never mind went and got myself a nice Note 3 instead...
Thanks guys.

Might be a specific app that is causing problems. When the problem happens again just reboot into safemode by long tapping on the restart button or power button. And then see if the problem still persists.

I'm thinking the same its getting worst day by day unsable.
My Redmi Note 9 Pro keeps restarting randomly (mostly when i use the camera). It just straight freezes and restart itself. Recently it only happens when opening the camera, but now it also happens when i playing games (CoC/CoD). Anyone who shares the same problem?
My Note 9 Pro EU starts to reboot after the recent EU update. But I saw this issue only when the GPS is on and phone working as navigation. Sometimes it can reboot after 30 min, and sometimes after 2 min, time to reboot after turn on navigation is random :/. I thought that is software bug so I unlock bootloader and flash newest xiaomi.eu but it didn't help :/
Have you tested your GPS on the test menu?
You can enter it with few clicks on KERNEL VERSION at "My device" in the settings ?
Unfortunately it's seems that GPS is OK with that test. I even revert to EU 11.0.1 and problem with GPS still appear. So it must by something with my unit :/
Tried turning off the option "Use assisted GPS" ?
if you check on here: https://c.mi.com/oc/miuidownload/detail?device=1900378 that recent update for 11.0.4 was pulled due to issues.
thats why i always delay updating the phone when a new update comes out. give it atleast a week or 2 to see if its safe. in this case it got pulled in a day.

Same problem here.
This error occured with all these official version
11.0.2
11.0.3
11.0.4
this is frustrating me.
any hel?
Same problem with 11.0.1 and 11.0.3 reboots while using GPS incl getting hot (maybe thats the point for the reboots) and also while using WLAN with network certificate...
Need help too. All GPS related options are disabled, any further ideas using advanced options?
Is this related to WiFi issue?
Last time i was trying one thing. I turn off access for many apps to GPS (system apps etc.) and run navigation for whole night with plugged charger and screen set to 100% brightness. And for my surprise phone did not restart! For test time my Redmi Note 9 Pro was running on Xiaomi.eu 11.0.4.
So maybe it's software bug? Because earlier my phone was restarting even when screen was off with navigation running. So for me it's not heating issue.
I'm having the same issue. In my case the phone will freeze/reboot instantly if a foreground app, such as maps or the camera, accesses the location, and will occasionally reboot itself while sleeping if location is enabled. Wiping the phone seems to correct it for a little while but the problem always returns.
So far I've tried stock roms 11.0.2 and 11.0.4, and Xiaomi.eu 11.0.4 and all have been affected.
I'm going to have to install a custom rom such as the GSI AOSP one and see if that fixes it. If the reboots still happen on a rom not based on stock, I'll have to return the phone. A phone without GPS isn't of much use to me.
I use AOSP + gapps and don't have reboot issues.
Well I had no issues on 11.04 EU, while using GPS but if connected to a known WiFi it reboots sometimes. While further investigate the GPS ...
Mi note 9 pro max hanging and rebooting problem.
After updating the software to 11.0.4.0 still it has rebooting problem and hanging.it freeze and start rebooting .. someone has any solution please help me
My Redmi Note 9 Pro with MIUI 11.0.4.0 stable Global reboots itself every now and then! When I am on Chrome it freezes and restarts!
I just got a redmini Pro 9 note some weeks ago it's been hell. It keeps saying "device shuts down unexpectedly" go off and comes on cannot do anything meaningful because it happens so frequently. I have rebooted, fast rebooted million times. I really regret buying this useless phone
On mine, After flash custom rom, give the same problem
Anyone solved this reboot issue? How?
My brand new note 9 pro (global version) randomly reboots with no apparent reason. It may happen while sleeping or while in use. It happens once every day, more or less.
No news? Have you asked for a replacement or was it a software issue? Please help, mine reboots once a day on average and I have to decide if returning it (bought through Amazon)
My ol' Note 4 nearly always bootloops since a few weeks.
So I get the MI logo, and that's where it typically stays.
Sometimes I get to the login screen, I can login, but after a short while it jumps back to bootloop mode.
Is there any known solution? (I know, this phone is getting too slow anyway)
Is it getting stuck on the redmi screen or the miui screen?
Try backing up your data, then flashing the stock miui rom for your device using mi flash tool.
If you're still having issues (which you shouldnt after flashing stock), then maybe try a custom rom?

Sorry for that late reply!
It can stay on the initial black 'mi' screen for quite a while, like 10 or 20 Minutes, or longer. The android dots are moving.
Then sometimes it goes to a blue screen, and sometimes to login (keystrokes) - mostly when I do to key strokes it jumps back the the 'mi' boot screen. Sometimes I manage to login and I can use it for some Seconds, or Minutes.
To me there is no logic in that behavior.
Try flashing the stock rom back to it.
Hi, I have the same issue. The above seems to work for me. But if you are actively using this phone for GPS, might not be right.

Thank you for your reply! I didn't touch the phone for looong time. The video gave me some hints. After many tries I managed to get to the normal phone screen - after switching Wifi off it seems to stop looping.
My aim to make a complete backup (which needs Wifi) and then transfer to a new phone.
This is more for my own reference > wisdom from video:
1) SIM out
2) Power off (5 sec press power)
3) On
4) Press vol key 10 sec during 2nd boot logo
5) After login > settings > additional settings > privacy > location > device only
Lets see......
...a short while later:
The method in the video that @kenny! posted seems to work. Phone operates quite normal now, a bit slow, but that's what can be expected from a phone that was already low-end in 2016.
Charging is normal. no more auto-power ON loops when charging. No crashes.
Thanks kenny!
