Huawei P20 pro help! - Huawei Developers

I beleive my phone has been hacked. I think its been double cloned what can i do.

Backup data, be aware there may be infected files in it. A cross infection (ie another package targeting that platform) to the PC is unlikely but possible.
Using 2 OTG flashsticks (redundant backup) be safer.
Or use cloud plus a OTG flashstick.
Delete Google, Email accounts etc.
Factory reset.
Change all account passwords.
Verify it is secure before adding apps and backup data, if it reoccurs after adding backup data... there's an infected file(s) in the backup data or a rogue 3rd party app you installed.
Don't repeat the mistake that caused this.

[Q] Recovering data via Titanium Backup.

I obtained my new Galaxy S III yesterday, yet I cannot recover application data, nor the actual themselves via Titanium Backup.
I am transferring from the T-Mobile G2(HTC Vision). The titanium backup data is from there.
I rooted the Galaxy S III, installed the "Omega v.28" ROM, and installed Titanium Backup from the Google Play Store. However, Titanium Backup can no longer detect the data from my former phone. My query is that must I begin anew, or is there a method by which I may recover the application data.

I am not sure in how far titanium can restore data from different phones whereas did you set your backup folder to the correct folder? otherwise the apps do not show up in the restore menu. In addition take into account that restoring system app data is not advised.
I never modified the folder location. I simply removed the SD card from one phone and attached it to the other. Aside from which, I do not require former system application, and I am aware of the hazards of ignorant restoration.
Go to preferences and find the backup location just in case the location is wrong.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
The data layout is different in a different phone .

I think it's just a matter of backup location change, denomination of sdcard changes among Rom.
Concerning the application data the backup format is the same in every room as it's done by titanium. As long as he doesn't want to restore system data there is no problem, I've already transferred apps + data without problem from my phone to my tablet, and from my LG p990 to the sgs3.
Go to TB settings, and show choose the existing backup location...

[Q] Backup Help

I have my company's email configure on my phone, basically its gmail account. So I have google device policy app also installed.
I keep on flashing new roms, everytime I flash new rom, I have to ask my company's it administrator to reactivate my email.
I tried using titanium backup pro to backup and restore, its works. Can someone tell me exactly which app and data needs to be backup, so I don't have to backup all the app and data

[Q] How does Google's "Backup My Data" in Settings works?

When I had my iPhone, I can do iTunes backup to my Mac and when I have a new iPhone, I can do restore of the apps and data from the previous iPhone. It restore everything, including apps, the apps data, email configuration, etc.
For Android, there is "Backup My Data" under Settings --> Accounts. Does this do the same thing as the above?
For example, I tried to do this:
1). Check "Backup My Data"
2). Associate this with one of my Gmail account
3). Get a new Android phone and... I don't see "Restore" in the same Settings.
I DO see the settings to Backup My Data in the new Android phone, but I am afraid if I checked this, it will overwrite the data in Google's server
I am trying to figure out if Backup My Data can re-download all the apps installed in the older device, including the apps data. I don't care about email or contacts, since those are synced to my Gmail accounts.

Backup and restore works by backing up which apps you've installed, contacts, etc and, when you get a new phone, it will restore these items back. During a new phone booting on, fresh ROM, the setup allows the user to restore from Google account that you backed up to it. IT happens also when you flash new ROMs as well during setup. The backup function allows, before getting a new phone to backup and then restore in new phone during setup. The apps however will need to be reset to custom settings because the phone will redownload them from play store yet will not have any of the settings you previously did.

Ah, that's key. That means I have to redo ALL the settings in each app again. I was hoping Google backup will restore individual app settings AND data, as described in my 1st post. In Settings --> Accounts --> Google account, I have the "Sync App Data" checked, but I guess it's not doing anything to backup app settings and data.
OK, I guess I have to use Titanium Backup or Helium instead. With Helium, once I installed an app (whether it's Playstore or Amazon's Appstore), I can restore the data and it works exactly as it was in the old device.

Yes, a custom backup (ie Titanium or Helium) backup your data from the apps. Google just contacts, etc for minimal restore from one device to next. One of those or related should work because they make an extractable file you can drag/drop from one phone to the next and be able to restore very well. Helium may be the better way to go. Ran into problems recently with Titanium since 4.4 but may be fixed by now.
does anyone else have the problem when installing a new ROM that Google doesn't restore the apps? I have had this problem nearly every time I have installed a new ROM, and eventually have to end up restoring (which is a total PITA.) I often wonder if I am missing something, as this drives me completely nucking futs.

[Q] Corrupted apps, Whatsapp free credit reset etc!

Hi All,
I have a quirky situation. My SGS2 i9100 is rooted and running 4.4.2 (Celeriter 2.6). It ran out of power and when I rebooted the next morning, a lot of apps have been messed up, missing, uninstalled and settings reset.
Most notable examples are:
Whatsapp: It allowed me to reconnect, but reset my free credit back to a full year! It then reconnected my 2000 messages just fine!
Tasker: It won't reinstall from Titanium Backup Pro. I have data from Taskers' own backups also.
Solid Explorer: Settings reset. Cloud account connections lost etc.
MX Player: uninstalled
SD Maid Pro has found 92 related AppData corpses in the data/data folder. I suspect the issue may be related to folder permissions or user ID but I'm not sure. I researched into fschk but that's a bit beyond my capabilities, given that I don't know the format of the internal memory etc. I do have an external SD card installed.
I have an old nandroid backup and some relatively recent Titanium backups, but I don't want to over-write data that may still be present, just misconfigured. Also I need to know what is wrong to prevent it happening again, and to be better able to recover potentially vital info in the future.
What happened my phone?! And can I use the "corpsed" data from the data/data folder to recover my app states?
Any insights very welcome,
Gratefully,
Lxs
I have seen unexpected corruption happen in random reboots and zero battery situations. They are difficult to prevent or reproduce.
My recomendation is:
1 - Make a nandroid backup. You may later use Titanium to selectively restore data/apps from it. But only as a last resort.
2 - Restore the old nandroid backup that you have.
3 - Use Titanium to restore user apps/data. Do not restore any system apps or system data.
After that you should have you phone working normally again. Good luck!

Question - How to restore of second google account

Usual disclaimer... I tried searching, I really did. Xda and outside.
Must be very easy but I am frightened block.
I had one phone that used a google account (account1) and stored there its backups.
I had another phone that used a different google account (account2) and stored there its backups.
I have no more both, and have a new dual SIM phone instead.
Switch on, ask for account, provide account1, apps restored with configuration. (account1 is primary account...; backups done to account1)
Set up account2, but find no way to restore apps related to account2. I see backups stored in gdrive for account2
I was thinking in
- removing account1 and account2 (was warned that contacts will be removed as sms; but not apps while those will lose access to data until I reconnect with account1 and account2 - as I read in www guidingtech com/what-happens-remove-google-account-phone/ (dots remove due to lack of karma to publish urls)
- login again using account2
Would this ask me for restoring backup of account2?
The other idea would be to change the account used for backups, from account1 to account2...
Would I achieve what I am trying by this way?
TIA / CT :cyclops:
