I have a samsung S9 with android version 10. I need to record calls. Where i live its legal to record calls. My S9 has no built in options to record calls. None of the call recording apps on the Google play store work any more, even if I'm on speaker phone. What are my options? Rooting my phone? Installing a custom ROM? Buying a new phone from out of the country? any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi guys.
I am searching for many days about this, but still no proper information.
(Old sony ercisson and nokia mobile had video calling feature.)
Why there is no default video call app in android?
(Ref: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_features_in_Android )
Why there is no App in market or any module for Xposed framework to enable video calls in droids.
Where some manufacturers have video called function enabled and Korean mobiles (LG, Samsung) has video call function but that doesn’t seem to work in Europe, Asia or America, it works only in korea.
Now I have few queries.
1--> is it possible to make video call from any android via any kind of customization with rooting, installing apps or with xposed framework etc.
2 -- regardless of unable to make video call, can droids receive video calls?
3-- is it possible to make video calls with Korean android mobiles, outside Korea? Or we can say, is it possible to fix this error, “when global roaming, video call not supported”. Or it is possible to enable video call when roaming.
Fronts cams are 50% useless without native video calls in androids, why nobody is trying to add video call feature in android?

sorry man
it must be include your rom
It's called hangout. Google hangout
hangouts video calls are on data, not on cellular network
Just like the title says - I'm looking for a call recording app for a SM-G965U (US based Snapdragon Variant) that works with a bluetooth headset. Phone has been upgraded to 9 / Pie.
I've tried ACR, Boldbeast and Skvalex but none of them were able to record the other side of the conversation over bluetooth. My side comes over clearly.
I'm seeing that some people are using a CSC / SIM card hack to get the built in recording working but from what I've read that doesn't seem to be an option with the Snapdragon. Since there isn't a root option for Snapdragon, choices are limited.
Any help would be greatly appreciated - both call recording and the bluetooth headset make my life much easier and it's tough to decide between the two.
Thanks!
You will not have call recording on Pie. Google removed the API used by apps to record calls.
I just deleted ACR and boldbeast from my S9+ because it does not work anymore.
Only option is to go back to Oreo 8.1 to get the call recording back.
Call recording is important to me. In the past I've always rooted my phones and used @skvalex's app which is amazing.
For the first time, I'm considering not rooting because I want Google Pay and system updates to work smoothly. I know there are workarounds but they seem like a lot of trouble.
Has anyone found a good solution to record calls on the pixel without root?
I have the US version, unlocked.
Thanks!
Try this
OnePlus Call Recorder - Apps on Google Play
OnePlus Call Recorder lets you record Whatsapp, Skype, Zoom and Telegram calls.

Hi ameer, unfortunately that app doesn't record the internal uplink+downlink. Rather it records from the devices's mic. Several apps do this such as Call Recorder by @skvalex (the best). But they can't record bluetooth conversations.

It doesn't help without root. If you select uplink / downlink in the settings without root, the calls will not be recorded.
Thanks for your suggestions.
@harryspar
Up until this phone, I used JOnePlus Tools app to enable stock call recording in my previous phones, the 7 pro, 6t and 5t, unrooted. I have installed it and done so with my n10 5g but i dont see it working like it had in the past. I dont know if maybe its the dialer, or if the nord maybe didnt come with the ability to record calls like the phones before it. Either way, without root it seems your options might be limited.

This is because the Nord series comes with the Google dialer instead of the OnePlus dialer.
In Oxygen OS 11 it is reportedly possible to installthe oneplus dialer and enable recording. The Nord has an OOS update but the Nord n10 5G does not.
I have bought Nord n10 5G today for my wife, but I realized now that call recording is not allowed on this. Do you have any methods to make it possible?
I have tried the OCR mentioned above and it works well on Nord n10 5G even though file name doesn't have contact name. But voice is well recorded clearly.
Looks to me like that OCR is the same as the other noon root solutions that record from the speakers rather than the phone line.
This means it will not work for calls via Bluetooth.
It's not much different than just using the built in screen recorder and extracting the audio.
To record a phone call and keep it for myself or my lawyer, is legal in my country.
Hi guys, how is it going?
May i ask for your help, please?
I had android 6(on huawei phone) and i used to record with the app "cube acr", everything worked fine.
Now i own a phone with android 11, i downloaded cube acr but i cannot record, i hear very very low volume.
If i change the recording source i cannot hear anything, it is completely silent.
If i use the "default" phone dialer app, which is "google phone", i can record and the recording is very good in terms of audio.
But i dont like it because is not automatic plus i hear "recording started". Also i read that the other person might know that im recording them.
I want cube acr app to work or a similar app, i dont like google recording.
Can anyone help me or suggest me a way to fix the problem so i can record with a third-party app?
Do you think there is a problem somewhere? Maybe a conflict of some sort?
Thanks happy new year.
If you installed the cube acr app from Google Play Store and you are used to this recording app, I suggest you contact the developer of this app for help.
Perhaps, he/she will develop & distribute a new edition which perfectly supports Android 11 soon.
Hi Guys,
I still use Xperia 1 II with rooted Android 11 and I am satisfied. Now I am thinking about switching to 1 mark IV. Call recording is must have feature for me. Please help me, what is the situation with call recording on Xperia 1 IV?
Is call recording working without root?
With extra app or native (I heard that in Android 12 it was suppose to be native)?
If native - is there workaround to not to send the sound alarm about recording to the responder?
Any problems with recording through bluetooth or jack socket?
Honestly, call recording is the only feature which pushed me to bother of flashing, rooting etc., but I don't want to spend my time for this if I wouldn't have to. Please let me know. Thankyou in advance and greetings.
depends on your region if its native or not
does not work for me in the usa but im unlocked so i could probably enable it if i wanted to.

Japanese version has call recording functionality, however they use different module instead of NFC, so it will break if will you install Japanese region firmware on your 1IV.
Thankyou for the responses. With Samsung it is enough just to flash original rom from India (I did it for my mother). I was wondering if with Sony and Android 13 is it the same? Do We have here Sony's users from India?
Root it with magisk, install lsposed framework, download and install google call recorder 1.1 through lsposed and follow instructions. it works on android 12/ 13. I just have tryed it on android 13 it works but android 13 is a junk. I flashed mine back to the 64.0.A.11.31 rom
