Question How to install stock global rom using miflash? - Redmi Note 10

I have tried to install several times but the installation does not complete and fails

For RN10 phone tested MiFlash20181115 with fastboot version of Miui ROM.
If it doesn't work, you need to tell us what is not working and what MiFlash says.

that version works thanks

How to switch from global stable to global beta/dev?

Hey there,
I own a Redmi Note 3 Special Edition (Kate) and I currently am on 8.1.1.0 global stabel. I'd like to switch to beta/dev (Is it the same? There doesn't seem to be a difference on the download page) without any loss of data if that's possible? What's the most reliable way to switch?
Thanks in advance
If your phone is on stock firmware then download the latest developer rom for kenzo. Make sure you download recovery ROM and not fastboot rom for your device. Fastboot Roms can be flashed only using mi flash tool. After downloading ROM copy it to d root of your phone s internal storage. Then go to updater app and choose update package i.e zip file. It will decrypt and then install update.

He's having Kate, so he should only flash Kate's ROM (not KENZO) otherwise he'll get bootloop. I am having KATE and have the latest global dev 7.2.9.
I have installed TWRP after unlocking bootloader and flashed the recovery ROM.

Bootloop after flashing rr nougat

Hey guys.
I'm using a 32/3GB kenzo with an unlocked bootloader running official rr mm.
I formatted the phone, flashed CM14 firmware, flashed the official RR nougat and GAPPS, then rebooted to system.
At this point, it started bootlooping, booting to the MI splashscreen, staying there for about half the time it usually does, before rebooting and repeating the process.
At this point, I was unable to access recovery, but was able to access fastboot and edl.
Flashing a recovery using the "fastboot flash recovery" command failed, so I assume that the partitions were corrupted.
I had to revert to MIUI by flashing through edl using MI flash, which fixed all the issues.
Can someone tell me what I did wrong?
Or should I follow the newbie guide 2.0 from the forums?
Thanks in advance to anyone who replies.

Which recovery you uaed for flashing rr n. Because you went bootloop and recovery was not able to access that means may be some problems in recovery or either in rom/gapps zip. Make sure you are flashing gapps for NOUGAT only. And use latest stable miui firmware (not cm14 zip one although may be both are same)
Try this
1. Flash zcx recovery (I recommend this, never disappointed)
2. Flash latest miui stable firmware
3. Flash rom zip
4. Flash gapps n
Boot to system
5. Then flash kernel or anything.

Thanks for the reply, I'll try it soon. Can you tell me how to get the miui stable firmware?
Should I fastboot flash latest MIUI stable before flashing the ROM or is there a MIUI firmware zip file to flash?

There is flashable zip file which is extracted from miui rom only. So both way will be good as flash latest stable miui rom and then twrp > rom zip > gapps. Or twr0 > firmware zip (search in any custom rom thread you will get one) > custom rom zip > gapps.
Only benefit of flashing firmware zip is less time consuming and less file size (around 50mb) compare to full miui rom.

Flash miui through twrp

Is there any way to flash miui through twrp instead of miflash?
Yeah. The same way as any other ROM.
downloaded zip from miui site and ended up with errors like firmware not found while installing in twrp

:/ Give us the link to what you downloaded. Flashing through TWRP works just fine here.
Did you guys see the no os installed message?
no os installed message was there and it ended in a bootloop. When tried to format again vibrated and bootlooped
You have to use Lazy Flasher: h++p://c.mi.com/thread-31082-1-1.html
Alternatively you could use this fix: h++p://xiaomitips.com/guide/how-to-repack-miui-fastboot-image/
It works just fine. I flashed stock miui using twrp yesterday. Make sure to flash recovery rom not fastboot rom

ERROR 7 while updating lineage OS

I had downloaded latest version of lineage OS from official website and I tried to flash on my REDMI Note 3 Kenzo but I can't here is the screenshot attached of remark.
Pls help
I was just about to post about this. I have the same issue, a work around I found was described in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bGVOR0kugZw
However, now that I have it installed, and try to OTA update, I get the same, I have to repeat the steps in the video every time I update, kinda frustrating and unnecessary imho. I had the latest MIUI updated and unlocked with the miui unlocker before the wiping and installing. All I have found its related to the bootloader not supporting android N.
Look at the error and you will see the issue.
Your firmware is too old.
Download one from Lineage thread and flash that before Lineage
update, I installed the firmware from this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-3/development/firmware-hmnote3proglobal-t3574361
now update goes thru like its supposed to
every recovery i flash gives me ERROR 7 :/
i have a 'kate' and befor i used to flash roms without issue. kenzo roms and flash kate modem done.
but phone crashed some months ago so i changed but now i want it again. and now im back on did a edl flash miui beta unlocked bootloader flashed twrp (all the twrp possible btw i tried all i could find) they all dont want to flash a custom rom i tried 7 different ZIP of custom roms... i tried to flash 4 diffeeent versions of RR 5.7.4 and 1 RR 5.8.4 all give error 7. flash kate modem. still error, then flashed modem with emmc thing patched nope still wont flash any custom rom
does anybody know how to fix this
You have to erase dalvik cache and DATA it will bring you new setup but still your device would be updated....

My Phone reboots after a few Seconds, It does not matter which custom rom I try to boot, all of them will reboot after a few seconds. I have already formatted everything and also flashed another version of TWRP via fastboot - no chance.

Looks like you tryin to install custom rom for the first time on your device? Then you might need to flash firmware.zip before installing custom Rom, that's gonna help.
Get the latest firmware zip and install it before flashing a custom Rom. Search for firmware thread, there are few of them.

Thanks for your help. I never installed a firmware.zip but before i was on PixelExperience. And that Rom works perfect for me. After that i want change to anothere Rom and since than i have the reboot problem.
On MIUI9 Wifi and Bluetooth stopped working. When i install a Custom Rom i can see before the Reboot: Bluetooth has stopped working.
I will try to install the latest firmware. May that help.
Best wishes
